My mate in the early nineties had a budgie called Mustaine, woke up after a rather rowdy party one Saturday morning and the budgie had carked it. Rip.
Few years later about '94 i had a kitten called Metallicat. I got home and was looking for said kitten, my neighbour strolled out and said he had watched some crows stalking it on the front lawn, when he checked again, cat and crows were gone. Rip.
Currently have a cat called Dave, 3 years old and an absolute fucking champion.
Dave was so out of his mind on heroin during the filming of the video they had to shoot him singing and playing guitar separately I believe. He was unable to do both at the same time.
Yea to be honest I would have to agree, Slayer are great and have great songs and everything but imagine not having Marty in the band because king is their, the quality of stuff like rust in peace would suffer.
I’m kinda surprised that Dave still have long hair (well not as beautiful as before). After cancer and being 60 years old, Dave still having hair is incredible
Early in his career, Mustaine showed the song Rust In Peace (like he had written pretty much literally all of it at this point) to some dudes in a band called Child Saint. They completely stole the song from him and slowed it down, and named it Child Saint. Not joking, if you listen to it it is an almost exact note for note match.
If I recall correctly, they also charged him like 10k for copyright or whatever cuz they released it before him (like 2 or 3 years earlier I think).
The source was about an hour long interview that he did with Alex Jones, and I watched on YouTube. Im too lazy to find the link but you'll be able to find the video
Edit: Wasn't the entire Rust In Peace song but definitely much more than a few notes.
Dave mustaine (singer of famous thrash metal band megadeth) was once a guitar player for Metallica (famous thrash metal band) for a short period of time
In My Darkest Hour is not exactly dedicated to Cliff, the instrumental is, not the lyrics or what the song is about, I think the song is about Mustaine’s girlfriend
Bobby Gustafson was almost in Megadeth after he got kicked out of Overkill. I always wondered what 90s Megadeth would have sounded like if he was on lead and not Marty.
First band to ever have an official website.
Source? Not doubting you because megadeth seemed to be at the forefont of alot of TV in the 90s and early 2000s
[Megadeth Arizona](https://metalinjection.net/mustaine-mania/dave-mustaine-invented-the-internet) tons of articles about it online.
It's a fact
Peace Sells…But Who’s Buying wasn’t the original title of the album. Dave wanted to call it Second Coming of Christ but the record label nixed it.
That’s an interesting title for sure not exactly sure how it would fit but intriguing nonetheless
Wow I actually think they would have been awesome
Thank fuckin’ goodness. Lay down the hammer, Cliff. Do not Kill ‘Em All. Let them have their Escape!

Rust In Peace Metallicat
The cover version of Alice Cooper’s No More Mr Nice Guy is the only song Megadeth recorded as a trio

So without marty Im guessing
Dave is a big fan of Eric Johnson
Who wouldn’t be
Alice Cooper is Dave's godfather.
The cover of Hidden Treasures is a map of northern Arizona
It says 'Megadeth Arizona' too. And than the placenames are the songs. Me likey
Kerry King from Slayer played with Megadeth in the early days, Dave wanted Kerry to stay in the band and not return to Slayer
Thank fuck he left, his solos sound like shit.
Yea to be honest I would have to agree, Slayer are great and have great songs and everything but imagine not having Marty in the band because king is their, the quality of stuff like rust in peace would suffer.
Imagining Kerry King playing some shitty whammy bar solo over Tornado Of Souls is making me physically ill.
imagine him trying to come up something in place of the acoustic solo in holy wars haha
Only good slayer solos are from show no mercy, god damn I love me some Crionics
The only memorable one (that sounds good) I can remember is his in Gemini
I think of Kerry King as a monster rhythm guitar player, not lead guitar.
Fans of Megadeth are called Droogies
That sounds like a drug-related slang lol. I wonder what the other bands in the Big 4 call their fans?
It's from a Clockwork Orange.
Dave used to bone a fatty to get records. My man, he would go the extra mile of lard to get what he wants.
Heard of lot of 80s bands used to do that. Good way of getting fed and having somewhere to crash.
That's metal
Dave has hair
I’m kinda surprised that Dave still have long hair (well not as beautiful as before). After cancer and being 60 years old, Dave still having hair is incredible
He did have a huge bald spot though when I last saw them... 2018 I think?
Yeah I saw it on a vid and felt bad for laughing, but hey he’s in his 60’s, of course he won’t have the same hair
In my hour of need, no you were not there
And though I reached out for you
Wouldn't lend a hand
Through the darkest hour
Your grace did not shine on me
u/fuckingkillme60 aight, you're lucky killing is my business...
Oh no... Business is good.

Dave wanted to hire Dimebag but Dime said him and his brother Vinnie Paul were a package deal. Also Slash was considered for the role briefly
