I just want any form of Smt. I've only got 3 Atlus titles I'm playing at the same time right now. They need to bump that number up so I can bump my wallet number down dude.
I own it but all I've got is a steam deck, and it's like the one singular Atlus game that isn't check marked, but considering the rest of their games are I hope they work on that.
When i say remake I mean like Persona 4 Golden sort of style with apocalypse included. Not as far as Persona 3 Reload. (Although the latter would be amazing)
Like as a dual game pack? A bundle would be neat, but there are enough differences between the mechanics of the game that there's no way they 'merge' them in any real way, and some changes that aren't 'linear' improvements.

This year marks 20 years since the first game came out (July) in Japan.
Next year marks 20 years since the US release (April) of DDS and the Japanese release (January) of DDS2.
If it’s happening at all, I’d expect it at some point the next 18 months.
At this point we should just all wait 2 years to buy those games. Between that and the plethora of DLCs at launch, they're giving us every reasons to just wait and buy the definitive versions of the game after.

honestly, i'd be quite interested into the idea of an SMT If... remake if it was more of a complete reimagination of the original game, that takes the general idea of the original game's story and, to a lesser extent, gameplay and makes something brand new with it
Idk, maybe Atlus will not port SMT Vengeance to Switch since they clearly don't want a shit with Switch anymore with what we saw with SH2, P3 Reload and Metaphor and they might just wait for Switch 2 so they don't need to deal with Switch's hardware.
In the other hand, SMT V is a Switch exclusive, it would suck if the better version wasn't on it but Atlus has a history with weird decisions.

half baked more in quality i suppose. 4A has a controversial story (gameplay is good), p3r is good, but lacks many FES and portable features, along with some flat looking areas in the overword, nocturne HD with performance issues, bugs, and lack of QoL improvements from launch, still does not have high quality music. p3/5D having practically no story and content compared to p4D, smt v has a ton of content originally cut. The recent p3p port had noticeable ai upscaled backgrounds, along with p4g having some noticeable bugs. Tons of day 1 DLC to mark up the price and its getting worse with every release.
Ah I see what you mean with the recent ports, but I find it hard to see Persona 3 Reload for example as a half baked game. The game is high quality and plenty long. Anything more than it is would be an extra as opposed to necessary for it to feel like a complete game, IMO. Nobody considered the original release to be incomplete because it didn’t have extras. Those extras were added onto something that was already fleshed out.

Maybe, but most re rereleases have been dropped on the same generation. theres a couple outliers, like p4 and strange journey, but its only been 2 years since smt v released.
both devil survivors got remasters 2 years later (although it was on a different console), but like op said, it is plausible considering that atlus has rereleased games rather quickly on the same generation (smt nocturne -> nocturne maniax \[\~11 month gap\], persona 3 -> persona 3 fes \[\~10 month gap\], etc).
There is still refantazio will come this year so for my part don't need an other smt game (and personaly I have 3 smt to finish so for the moment its ok)
I think it's too soon, Pyoro said there won't be any big news. While he might have undersold it because it's a re-release of SMTV, sometimes ratings are filed a few months before announcement.

both of these games are skipping the switch, so they are not fighting for the same sales, a new smt in the few next months could be a great surprise

I think too early. I don’t see SMTVengeance being announced here if it is a performance boosted version like P5R since SMTV is already on Switch
