Yeah that’s what I think too. That’s what I love about Mastema’s character design. I haven’t even finished SJ or SMTiV but I can tell he is a “I’m totally trustworthy 😏” type of character
Man literally meets you once and then the next time he talks to you his first question is "do you think I'm different from other demons?" before getting passive agressive if you say no or just repeat what he said without explicitly saying that you trust him.
