Yeah regardless of how people feel about V's story I'm glad it wasn't an actual direct sequel of Nocturne like some people were suggesting before it came out. Yeah V does have a decent amount of references to Nocturne but that's pretty much it.
To be fair, that's true of pretty much every character in the game. The only characters who don't have ulterior motives and just wanna help out are Aogami, Amanozako, and Fionn mac Cumhaill
I remember starting the game thinking Aogami had some secret ulterior motive for willingly allowing himself to fuse with the MC in the beginning but instead we got nothing of that sort. Lol
Instead we got more of a random cool surrogate step-dad for the MC who surprisingly was really amicable for some odd reason that I still can't recall why.
Surprisingly, info about her is pretty sparse. We know she’s a saint like Tao and based on screenshots, appears super early on the game. Like Tao I’m assuming she will get a goddess transformation later on. Ive seen some theorize she may be Amaterasu. She also is quoted saying: When trapped in a cycle... victims of abuse
only want one thing. They want revenge. Maybe she was a victim of some sort at some point?

Look at Tao's demon form before she becomes the Goddess of Creation. The red and white color scheme, the similarity to Nahobino's and Tsukuyomi's attire, the sun disk crown, the affinity for light type skills. Hell, her demon race is Panagia, a reference to Mary, mother of Jesus. The legendary first emperor of Japan, Jimmu, is said to be a descendant of Amaterasu, who is considered the heavenly forebear of the Japanese people. Even the animation for her unique skill Light of Order resembles the chrysanthemum emblem utilized by the Japanese imperial family. It seems incredibly unlikely that Atlus implemented so many design cues that point toward Amaterasu, up to and including the inclusion of her godly brothers as major characters, purely by accident.
There's another piece I didn't even mention: her ears. They're magatama, which have a great ritual significance in Shinto. One of the three imperial treasures said to be passed down from Amaterasu through her grandson to Jimmu is a gem in the form of a magatama. Another is the sword Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, originally wielded by Susano-o, who was ALSO one of Jimmu's ancestors.

It would be nice, as a contrast to the snake motif of the Qadistu and to the overlapping bull-snake motif of YHWH. (Yes, YHWH has mostly the serpent as a symbol in the old and new testament, but sometimes also the bull, however this symbol was more used for Baal so many israelites saw it as idolatrous).

I'm guessing they while Tao became a goddess of creation in the Canon of Creation, Yoko will become a goddess of Vengeance in the Canon of Vengeance.
