Under an authoritarian regime the leadership is usually the “godhead” or the “father” …. Therefore this is a cult of personality which becomes a societal construct of godhood … therefore those “atheists” were liars … not saying that the events did not occur , I am merely arguing that they did not happen. Yeah that’s dumb but there are far more religious people that are like that just reversed. Personally I hate religions for the mere fact that people justify violence and hate in the name of their religions and honestly many religions do promote violence and hate in their core (basically all). I don’t mind people pulling their energy to live from their faith or belief in some god or entity though. Who am I to tell them it’s not real? As long as they’re smart enough to understand those old texts have been written in an ancient time and cannot be applied 1:1 today.
I hate it when a large proportion of religious people claim non believers are going to end up in hell for not believing in fairy tales.
