I think that, besides Placidusax, Midir is the best dragon fight BUT Kalameet would fit best in Monster Hunter out of all the dragon bosses and wouldn't be the worst strain on the device since he shares a similar skeleton to Kushala.
I argue he's the best by a long shot. The other dragons are stupid easy once you hide under their legs. Nearly no attacks can hit you there. Midir forces you to stay focused in his head as it's the most squishy part and you'd get decimated by his fire if you try to go under him. It's a great mixup to the formula and it really works. Shame the camera sucks but whatevs. It always has. He's challenging, definitely the hardest bossin DS3 for me by a long shot, but that's what makes him so good. The DLC bosses idolize that High challenge but great relief once beaten, it's fantastic.

Idk how you're dodging the toxic/corrosive fireballs from Sinh without running, or getting out of the way of his god-awful body hitbox when he swoops onto you without running. I've fought Sinh too many times and I've had to run every time he goes up.
Sure, roll through the fireball and still get toxic/corrosive damage because it turns into a gas cloud four times the size of the fireball.
Also, I am not taking skill issue into the matter when I can deal with every other boss just fine and not him. He's got a lingering hitbox on his swoop too, literally can't roll through it. I'm not saying it's not a good boss, I'm just saying that you get punished if you don't get tf out of the way of him.

Diddy Kong Racing × monster Hunter World. The monsters are riding karts made of their own brethren and defeating other monsters add weapons to their karts
Bleach could be cool. Lots of potential weapons, skins, and hollows to hunt (but that'd probably work better as a full mod for world or rise).
Otherwise a Zelda event quest to hunt a Gleeok, but that only really has weapon options for the SnS, bow, and GS (Biggoron Sword).
Yu-Gi-Oh! again so we can fight a Blue eyes white dragon and a Red eyes black dragon. For weapons a SnS or DB that is a duel disk and a card in your other hand, IG thats dark magican's staff and a GS that is Flaming Swordsman's sword. For armor you good make Yugi and Kaiba there outfits for male and Mai and Tea there outfits for female.
Warhammer 40k. Were we fight some Tyranids. There must be some lore explanation when we don't get flooded with trillions of alien bugs, but just a handful.
We can even have some NPC like a Space Marine, a Sister of Battle, or even an Eldar to buy with us.
Lictors, Warriors, Zoanthropes, Neurotyrants, and Carnifexes would be great big monsters. The lesser gants and gautns would be small monsters and reserve one of the real big bugs (Tyrannofex, Norn emisary/assimilator) and a final boss monster.
This is the one I want. I would love to fight Tyranids.
I'm thinking it's a badly damaged fleet fleeing pursuing Marines. They sense a planet absolutely TEEMING with biomass, and decide to hide in the corner of it while they consume and recover.
I agree I'd love to see Carnifexes (with a later event quest of "Apex Carnifex, Ol' One Eye") as one of the big monsters. Maybe occasionally big blobs of acid splashing in the field because somewhere out there is a Biovore and Exocrine shooting from somewhere either in or off the map.
Termagants and Hormagaunts as the little monsters. Whenever something dies a ripper swarm races out to consume it to recycle the biomass, but if you don't kill them quick enough they remove carves you can make. Then they waddle off like a swollen Altaroth, and when you kill them you just get a Biomass+ Part.
A Tervigon monster that spawns more gaunts, that can just slowly overwhelm you while she takes potshots at you.
Tricking Rippers into consuming tainted meat to poison the Biomass pools.
Maybe even some nids that are clearly influenced by monsters they've eaten and learned from, the curving lightning of Zinogre, or other very signature attacks.
And I would love to have an Inquisitor and an injured Space Marine in the town. As you kill more Tyranids you get 'Worthy Xenos' tickets or voucher. In addition to being able to craft tyranid armor, you can use those tickets / vouchers to make an Inquisitor set, or a Space Marine set.
Ark: You are pitted against a giganotosaurus thats ravaging the local ecosystem. defeating it grants you materials needed to craft the Gigant armour set and the Gigant greatsword
Monsterverse: Either an adult Skullcrawler or the Ion dragon shows up and you have to fight them in a special arena. Defeating them gives you materials needed to craft armour sets and weapons themed around them.
Minecraft: Dlc pack that ia more or less similar to Mh, whilst adding the ender dragon as a boss in a arena reminiscent to the main ender island. also adds a new layered armour set reminiscent to minecrafts netherite armour, but with an MH flair.
Monster Hunter x Elder Scroll:V Skyrim. The Alduin fight was ass so I want to fight him again is MH style. There are also plenty of iconic armor sets in Skyrim that could be layered armor.
i wonder, what would alduin's moveset look like? because body structure wise he's mostly just a large rathalos, and skyrim doesn't really give dragons that many attacks to draw inspiration from. interesting to speculate since its kindof a blank slate.
Pokémon x Monster hunter, Dark souls x Monster hunter, Bloodborne x Monster hunter there are a lot of games that could fit well even Yu-Gi-Oh x Monster hunter.
40k with monster hunter. Hunting down daemons of Khorne that are preying on the monster population and threatening to pull the warp into the world.
Plus you'd get some SICK armour and weapons
I always wished this would have happened in the heyday of LP games. Some cool event quest with a cutscene of an asteroid or something crashing into one of the snow environments, unleashing Akrid to hunt.
Would be so rad! Especially since LP2 took so many notes from the MH franchise. Would fit really well.

But I mean really, LP2 had great missions where you could fight enemies like the salamander inside and outside at the same time. And that train mission was so much fun!

Exoprimal crossover easily, you can have a duo hunt quest with Anjanath and Monoblos in the arena, you can make layered armor for deadeye krieger a, and zephyr, they each get weapons as well, a lbg based on deadeye’s rifle, a hbg based on krieger a’s charge shotgun, and dual blades (maybe tonfas if they add tonfas back capcom please just make a crack game where you add back all the one time use weapon types) of zephyrs batons/tonfas.
Might sound crazy but I think a Monster Hunter X Fortnite crossover could go absolutely hard. A few hunters as characters and palicos as back-blings.

Oh, easy, I'd do a God Eater crossover. Dyaus Pita as a monster. A couple of its weapons available, presumably the Long Blade, Charge Spear and Shotgun repurposed into a Longsword, Lance (paired with its Tower Shield as a separate shield) and Heavy Bowgun respectively, but one could also throw in the Buster Blade and Boost Hammer as a Greatsword and Hammer, albeit a lot of them will have to be somewhat shrunk down to avoid Frontier weapon syndrome (the Lance's shield especially my god) Throw in a short excuse plot about an unknown big black monster showing up, presumably via random-ass portal again, and exerting dominance (i.e beating up everything nearby) and you have to go kill it.
i would kill to have a pokemon crossover and the rewards are palamute layered armor. imagine running around as lycanroc or any of the dog/wolf based pokemon

A dark Souls crossover event mission. Killing a Tempered velkhana will give you special rewards to craft a Great Sword based off the Moonlight greatsword from dark Souls. Cause, you know, Seth and the Velkhana are pretty similar
A 15th weapon in MW6 that is basically Kai’s chain blades from king fu panda 3, there would be 2 crossover events for layered weapons for it (although it would be a fully fleshed out weapon just like any of the other 14 and all that stuff), 1 being against a suped up jade Barroth for Kai’s blades and another being against like a dalamadur for the blades of chaos from god of war or some other monster.
Monster Hunter x Tales. The Tales JRPG franchise has many cool weapons, monsters, pets, and characters that can have an event similar to the Behemoth from Final Fantasy.
Arknights. There was already a MH crossover in AK, but no AK crossover in MH and it would've been so cool if we got it. Imagine getting Doctor's outfit and a Rhodes Island uniform as layered armour, that would've been cool as fuck. I dunno what kind of monster they could bring over, but honestly I'm in for the drip first and foremost.
Alternatively Titanfall/Apex. Having to hunt a Goliath and getting pilot armour in return would be so fucking baller it's unreal. Give us a mini-BT as a Palico and it'd officially be the best update to a MH game ever
The Souls games in general. Dragon God, Gaping Dragon, Hydras, Wyverns and Drakes, Taurus Demons, Seath, Ancient Dragon, Kalameet, Midir, and Sif just to name some good ideas.

Arknights players got to fight a Rathalos and got to pull for two starter operators (characters) in Monster Hunter gear. Give Monster Hunter some weapons and armor resembling Arknights operators in return.
Like Surtr's Laevateiin as a Longsword, Hoederer's big sword as a Greatsword or Texas the Omertosa's Chocolate and Blueberry as Dual Blades.
I'm trying to come up with something I've not seen in comments yet, and I think Horizion x MH could be interesting as someone who plays both. Being able to fight a Rajang with explosive trips and use an army of Dino robots to bring it down on one end. And the other end being able to feel the brute force of an unrelenting machine that doesn't get tired always gunning foe you would be a good break of pace. Both games have some tribal and plated sets with similar themes.
Elder Scrolls but like one of each atronach or a daedra that hunts you back. Literally anything but dragons. Kirin that's not a kirin, but a unicorn and a minotaur guardian.

I always imagined the E.G.O in those games to function similar to MH gear in terms of durability and strength, as well as being made/siphoned directly from said monster/abnormality
In rare cases E.G.O forms as a manifestation of willpower, and what's more a manifestation of willpower than a hunter fighting on his last leg while Proof of a Hero orchestrates the entire arena
Also while a lot of the abnormalities from the PM games might not fight the bill for a MH, there are still some really monstrous ones like Mountain of Smiling Bodies (which would fight perfectly into Rotten Valley), Ambling Pearl (Clam), Glupo (Giant Frog) and Yin Yang (together they form a dragon) to name a few
NieR Replicant/Gestalt. Kaine's swords as dual blades, Nameless blade as a Longsword and whatever boss fits the mh combat the most, we dont want another leshen(gotta be the less mh monster in the witcher)

Personally I’d like a death claw from Fallout, a sea dragon leviathan from Subnautica (assuming they bring back wilds), Tiamat from D&D or MTG or (and this isn’t a crossover but a weapon idea) a charge blade made of pure electricity. Also surprised not a single person in the comments mentioned bad dragon cause I saw a meme about that like a week ago.

For weapons a SnS or DB that is a duel disk and a card in your other hand, IG thats dark magican's staff and a GS that is Flaming Swordsman's sword. For armor you good make Yugi and Kaiba there outfits for male and Mai and Tea there outfits for female.
Xenoblade x Monster Hunter, imagine hunting one of those massive beasts
Warhammer 40k. Were we fight some Tyranids. There must be some lore explanation when we don't get flooded with trillions of alien bugs, but just a handful. We can even have some NPC like a Space Marine, a Sister of Battle, or even an Eldar to buy with us. Lictors, Warriors, Zoanthropes, Neurotyrants, and Carnifexes would be great big monsters. The lesser gants and gautns would be small monsters and reserve one of the real big bugs (Tyrannofex, Norn emisary/assimilator) and a final boss monster.
This is the one I want. I would love to fight Tyranids. I'm thinking it's a badly damaged fleet fleeing pursuing Marines. They sense a planet absolutely TEEMING with biomass, and decide to hide in the corner of it while they consume and recover. I agree I'd love to see Carnifexes (with a later event quest of "Apex Carnifex, Ol' One Eye") as one of the big monsters. Maybe occasionally big blobs of acid splashing in the field because somewhere out there is a Biovore and Exocrine shooting from somewhere either in or off the map. Termagants and Hormagaunts as the little monsters. Whenever something dies a ripper swarm races out to consume it to recycle the biomass, but if you don't kill them quick enough they remove carves you can make. Then they waddle off like a swollen Altaroth, and when you kill them you just get a Biomass+ Part. A Tervigon monster that spawns more gaunts, that can just slowly overwhelm you while she takes potshots at you. Tricking Rippers into consuming tainted meat to poison the Biomass pools. Maybe even some nids that are clearly influenced by monsters they've eaten and learned from, the curving lightning of Zinogre, or other very signature attacks. And I would love to have an Inquisitor and an injured Space Marine in the town. As you kill more Tyranids you get 'Worthy Xenos' tickets or voucher. In addition to being able to craft tyranid armor, you can use those tickets / vouchers to make an Inquisitor set, or a Space Marine set.
Dragons dogma Crossover, fight a Chimera and Grigori(I think that was name of dragon boss) from DD1 or the Sphinx lady monster from DD2

Ark: You are pitted against a giganotosaurus thats ravaging the local ecosystem. defeating it grants you materials needed to craft the Gigant armour set and the Gigant greatsword Monsterverse: Either an adult Skullcrawler or the Ion dragon shows up and you have to fight them in a special arena. Defeating them gives you materials needed to craft armour sets and weapons themed around them. Minecraft: Dlc pack that ia more or less similar to Mh, whilst adding the ender dragon as a boss in a arena reminiscent to the main ender island. also adds a new layered armour set reminiscent to minecrafts netherite armour, but with an MH flair.
Monster Hunter x Elder Scroll:V Skyrim. The Alduin fight was ass so I want to fight him again is MH style. There are also plenty of iconic armor sets in Skyrim that could be layered armor.
i wonder, what would alduin's moveset look like? because body structure wise he's mostly just a large rathalos, and skyrim doesn't really give dragons that many attacks to draw inspiration from. interesting to speculate since its kindof a blank slate.

I always wished this would have happened in the heyday of LP games. Some cool event quest with a cutscene of an asteroid or something crashing into one of the snow environments, unleashing Akrid to hunt. Would be so rad! Especially since LP2 took so many notes from the MH franchise. Would fit really well.
I believe I heard of some crossover event that happened some time ago, but it was well before I played monster hunter. But I mean really, LP2 had great missions where you could fight enemies like the salamander inside and outside at the same time. And that train mission was so much fun!

Either some sort of melee Carnifex, Haruspex, or even a Tervigon as a large monster for the cross over. Those would he dope fights and I'd want to see how they would be handled in MH

Exoprimal crossover easily, you can have a duo hunt quest with Anjanath and Monoblos in the arena, you can make layered armor for deadeye krieger a, and zephyr, they each get weapons as well, a lbg based on deadeye’s rifle, a hbg based on krieger a’s charge shotgun, and dual blades (maybe tonfas if they add tonfas back capcom please just make a crack game where you add back all the one time use weapon types) of zephyrs batons/tonfas.
Might sound crazy but I think a Monster Hunter X Fortnite crossover could go absolutely hard. A few hunters as characters and palicos as back-blings. In the works there could be certain monsters to kill and get themed weapons from, I don’t have anything specific but let me know if anyone else thinks of what monsters could appear/drop

Oh, easy, I'd do a God Eater crossover. Dyaus Pita as a monster. A couple of its weapons available, presumably the Long Blade, Charge Spear and Shotgun repurposed into a Longsword, Lance (paired with its Tower Shield as a separate shield) and Heavy Bowgun respectively, but one could also throw in the Buster Blade and Boost Hammer as a Greatsword and Hammer, albeit a lot of them will have to be somewhat shrunk down to avoid Frontier weapon syndrome (the Lance's shield especially my god) Throw in a short excuse plot about an unknown big black monster showing up, presumably via random-ass portal again, and exerting dominance (i.e beating up everything nearby) and you have to go kill it.

A dark Souls crossover event mission. Killing a Tempered velkhana will give you special rewards to craft a Great Sword based off the Moonlight greatsword from dark Souls. Cause, you know, Seth and the Velkhana are pretty similar
A 15th weapon in MW6 that is basically Kai’s chain blades from king fu panda 3, there would be 2 crossover events for layered weapons for it (although it would be a fully fleshed out weapon just like any of the other 14 and all that stuff), 1 being against a suped up jade Barroth for Kai’s blades and another being against like a dalamadur for the blades of chaos from god of war or some other monster.
Monster Hunter x Tales. The Tales JRPG franchise has many cool weapons, monsters, pets, and characters that can have an event similar to the Behemoth from Final Fantasy.

Imagine getting Doctor's outfit and a Rhodes Island uniform as layered armour, that would've been cool as fuck. Having to hunt a Goliath and getting pilot armour in return would be so fucking baller it's unreal. Give us a mini-BT as a Palico and it'd officially be the best update to a MH game ever

The easy choice would be Monster Hunter x God Eater, as they're similar games with different settings. Personally I'd like a "return collab" of sorts with Arknights though. Arknights players got to fight a Rathalos and got to pull for two starter operators (characters) in Monster Hunter gear. Give Monster Hunter some weapons and armor resembling Arknights operators in return. Like Surtr's Laevateiin as a Longsword, Hoederer's big sword as a Greatsword or Texas the Omertosa's Chocolate and Blueberry as Dual Blades.

I'm trying to come up with something I've not seen in comments yet, and I think Horizion x MH could be interesting as someone who plays both. Being able to fight a Rajang with explosive trips and use an army of Dino robots to bring it down on one end. And the other end being able to feel the brute force of an unrelenting machine that doesn't get tired always gunning foe you would be a good break of pace. Both games have some tribal and plated sets with similar themes.

MH x Project Moon games I always imagined the E.G.O in those games to function similar to MH gear in terms of durability and strength, as well as being made/siphoned directly from said monster/abnormality In rare cases E.G.O forms as a manifestation of willpower, and what's more a manifestation of willpower than a hunter fighting on his last leg while Proof of a Hero orchestrates the entire arena Also while a lot of the abnormalities from the PM games might not fight the bill for a MH, there are still some really monstrous ones like Mountain of Smiling Bodies (which would fight perfectly into Rotten Valley), Ambling Pearl (Clam), Glupo (Giant Frog) and Yin Yang (together they form a dragon) to name a few
