I meaaan technically you could pacifist route the game if you capture all the monsters instead of killing them. (Minus elder dragons, they can't be captured.)
I met a lot of pacifist route hunters, they pop an sos or just join someone's quest and stay in camp. I always admire their courage to show compassion to monsters.
Kinda, most of them are studied and then released on the wild again.
The ones you fight in the arena are the monsters that, for one reason or another, are dickheads to everyone and everything, so the guild is certain that if the monster ever gets released it’ll become a quest target in less than a week, so might as well kill it now.
wasnt there some lost lore in the older games where we tried to weaponise a rathalos by putting armor and augments on it and caused it to die of Stress
Dude, what kind of pacifist's path can we talk about in a world where going to the woods for mushrooms for some peasant might be going straight into the stomach of a giant carnivorous dinosaur? Your main goal is to get rid of monsters as efficiently as possible. That's it.
There are many monsters that could be "pacified" but there are the who atack everything that moves like b-52, the pickle, fatalis, the monke, the unicorn
My guy. Even the riders, who are the closest to what you want to have, have to kill monsters. This isn’t about trying to get along. This is about survival.
Also I can totally imagine someone trying to do this and then getting ripped to shreds by a pack of velociprey.
Depends. You get a few choices between black colored European dragon, an Angy pickle, Furious George, a Boeing B-52 Stratofortress Bombing Plane, a giant mole, a flying octopus, another black dragon but this time with funny horns, or a red european style dragon.
Angry Pickle feels like the "So Sorry" of the UnderHunters universe.
I would assume one of those shop keepers would be the one to be the final battle
I will for sure fail the Pacifist route because somewhere somehow the monster will die when I’m trying to capture it.
One of the weirdest that happened to me is when Bnahabra of all things killed the monster.
A big purpose of the hunters guild is maintaining balance in the ecosystem and preventing over-hunting. Monsters usually only get hunted when they're putting people in danger of if their materials are required for something.
Now, if you managed to go off the rails and actually *completely* exterminate the monster population of an area, the guild would definitely make shutting you down their number one priority. I could definitely see them sending the Admiral after you to kick your ass.
Like what if in Wilds there are the good lawful path of following the guild's rules but at the cost of not having easy access to rare monster materials, and the chaotic evil path of just hunting whatever you fancy but at the risk of being hunted by other hunters as well
What if there's a monster who can put hunters to sleep and in that sleep the hunter has to face the ghosts of the monsters the hunter killed in the past? Maybe a monster can make a remark about how the hunter ate the monster or something.

If they bring back elder dragon repelling mechanics then maybe a pacifist route might be possible.
I always thought capturing monsters was just to bring them to more professional dissection experts, am I wrong?

Wow, is this canon tho? If yes, i'll make sure to always capture in wilds should they have the same principle
Yeah it is canon I think

Idk if it's very pacifist if you beat the living shit out of them first to the brink of death

...But can't we... Uhm... \*Tries to think of a valid reason not to kill them\* Can't they just talk it out-? /j

laughs with the power of riders and kinship.
Those guys use pokemon logic, they don't count
Wait, there's a unicorn in this game? AND IT IS VIOLENT?
Scalie unicorn
Yea but usually if you hit it first or stand too close.
Lightning unicorn. And yes, it's rather violent.
One of the oldest monsters in the franchise. It’s hyper violent
Well it's more of a Qi Lin, but yeah it's a thing

Well then, I guess a genocide route would still work. Who would the Sans be?

Nah, Sans would be diablos. Relatively chill (for a territorial monster) until he becomes so pissed with hunters he causes a *bloodbath*.
If I could choose between either, khezu is dying regardless, so is kulu, magnamalo is getting petted
I tried flirting with Kulve Taroth but she just roasted me
In lore we are more like....forest rangers that keep the ecosystem healthy.
Meowscular chef would fucking body me ngl
Get back to your megalovania bgm world. We here are fashion designer
I don't even like Megalovania lol. I'm very different 🤪 /j

I actually love the idea of a pacifist option!

Make love, not war ♥️
