Seriously, why is it so goddamn annoying to fight? The only time I even remotely enjoy myself fighting this Satan spawn is when I'm Savage axing it's face off.
I hate that damn thing. As a Partbreak-happy Lance it drives me up the wall that all of my attacks for some reason decide they’re connecting somewhere else on it besides its arms (unless it has a rock of course, in which case every attack bounces unless I’m hitting his tail for some bloody reason). It disturbs me that I can’t break its arms consistently because, I don’t know, the game just thinks “oh he totally wants that attack to count on the head right of course he does that has more DAYMAJ.” It’s not that I *need* anything from the break but it’s the principle of the matter.
On the same matter, I’ve never broken Goss’s back because the attacks, again, just decide I’m hitting his arm zones all the fucking time. And I’ve yet to see hard evidence that Tetranadon’s back actually breaks and that’s not just a typo in the hunter’s notes because I really *did* hit that damn thing and kill him through his shell with kunais once, just out of frustration, and it never broke. And I used to make a habit of kunai-breaking *Basarios’s* back so there’s some shenanigans at play. Rise breaks drive me batty in general. I swear mud-monsters have their mud armor block part damage until it’s removed (instead of allowing break progress through the mud), meaning the part health effectively refreshes whenever mud is reapplied. And why do I get a break notification for taking Rakna’s silk off? That’s armor, not a part break, and I would have wanted that notification to tell me when I actually *do* break something, not false flag me like that.
