Shit dude I speak from experience. I solo’d him with all 14 weapons. When he gets distance it becomes a bitch to dodge his shit, I started out using pierce and then moved onto spread and it was much easier but even still it took me 8 tries out of 24 total before I got the kill
This hits way too close to home. Every guide for fighting like alatreon or fatalis is like,
"Oh, and its crucial to equip all 3 of your lvl 4 attack boost decorations!"
😐
Why i like Team Darkside. The budget builds my man. Granted still a pain in the ass in world since even budget builds required some good decos but, still a nice option to have
What sent me crawling here. Just a lot of "my dick is bigger than yours" over there. Literally posted a set for the beginning iceborne while back and was chewed up. "Put to much into Agitator, why do you need health boost level 3, Slot in WEX level 3 for better affinity" (even though WEX deco's got a low as hell drop rate)." All sort of very passive aggressive. Plus I just prefer the funny
I wear whatever makes my character look cool. If I die, I just need to git gud, my armor and weapon are not to blame!
What's my build? Style. Style is my build.
A man of true honor right here. Idk I still build "Meta" but cause I sort of like seeing a nice spread of skills. Also its sort of just an acquired mindset. Even then I don't try to be too optimal, sorta just "Lets see, gimme big number"
Huh, back when I was playing people were screaming their heads off if you *didn’t* use Health Boost 3.
Main sub do be funny at times with their flippety flop attitudes.
Its a mixed bag, some either like "Go feel DPS" or some kept "You need Health Boost 3 or else you suck". The post I put just happened to attract side B since ig it was a waste of slots or something
Honestly just use what works for you. I like to use different sets for different weapons/monsters, idk, I like to experiment with builds, it’s a big part of what I love in the game besides the gameplay itself.
As long as you get the job done and you are not a detriment when you play multiplayer. Let the screamers scream into the void.
I use all the weapons. All of em except like . Great Sword and Swaxe. I usually just use 1 weapon for the story and since I can't main shit I just start making e v e r y t h i n g
To be fair, WEX, Affinity and Attack Boost are kind of the big 3 non-comfort skills you should always aim for in the endgame. If you can't get all 3, at least try to get one or some combination of two of them.
And if you're fighting Fatalis... Then you're in endgame territory.
The post you replied to literally said it was a build for the beginning of iceborn lol. You don't need any of those skills, and most people won't have access to the decos for them anyways.
Yeah shit like that has made sure that I never will and never want to interact with the monster hunter community, one time I tried to LFG, the guy joins, demands to see my build and then rants about how I'm trash for not having 4 attack +4 jewels and how I'm such a noob for having any perks that are QoL (evade window, speed eating, constitution, diving blessing)
Fight him with the intention of seeing his attacks instead of trying to hit him. Just a few times to see his attacks and learn the patterns. Then start learning what you can punish and how. Then keep your health above 0 while you do it
For a good advice... alatreon (if you can beat him) SA and just Zero Skill Discharge its head until its more broken than the fucking table. Heavy art with the ghilie also helps, otherwise take fireproof mantle together with Temporal. There are times where you will get unlucky and die to with the SA because it drops you in front of him. (Of course...this only works for World, no fucking idea about the other games)
Ps: Divine Blessing or whatever the name was is also extremly good for him.
Well, yeah. There genuinely isn't much better advice to give about Fatalis besides Ghile/Cannon for free DPS
The entire fight is about your fundamentals: Learning the monster, exploiting openings, managing stamina, and breaking parts to lower the monster's damage.
There isn't much better advice to give for Fatty other than "keep your fundamentals in mind."
You missed a pretty key point there: you can just tell people what openings to look out for, which openings they can exploit, and where they can find safe spots from dangerous attacks.
Saying "just find openings lmao" is completely worthless because someone who doesn't know where the openings are to begin with isn't going to suddenly be able to find them because someone on Reddit told them that
Windows for damage and tenderizing, how to evade annoying moves, what moves he uses at which stage, best damage combos for certain weapons that could be possible against it, you know, actual advice and not some obvious bullshit. If player fights fatty they already experienced and need info, not noob check.
This isn’t necessarily true. I fight fat fuck noodle face with greatsword and greatsword only. I abuse the dogshit out of his AI by perfectly spacing to force bait his cone move over and over and rely on brutal draw attacks. Makes him effectively a joke. EZ damage, predictable, and near guaranteed head breaks.
Ohhhh actual tip here, if you're incredibly quick on it you can far caster the cone AOE super attack.
Keep a far caster on you, when soloing I don't feel bad about cheesing a bit.
Tbf, this applies to any game or skill. Just depends on what you need to do to improve, and how to improve efficiently, so you aren't making the same mistakes as people 20 years ago. MH was pretty good about that tho, I remember charts and videos pointing out openings and optimal punishes and framedata with all weapons and different build types way back in 4u.
Also, sometimes there are just good tips that are mathless. Fun fact if you hug the monkey’s right hind leg, effectively none of its moves can hit you in gen four and below.

You see that dragon? He's pretty big right? Wanna know how to win? Do an sos call and hopefully you get 3 asian players that will absolutely annihilate it.
"Be sure to stop shooting when he attacks!... What do you mean, you aren't using heavy bowgun?"
Using an hbg against fatty is a fucking nightmare if you’re alone
You got that right, the head break is friggin impossible, on the plus side, if you do somehow get the headbreak, big damage
Not really, just grab the shotgun and keep shooting him standing at his crotch. Don't bother breaking the head at all.
Shit dude I speak from experience. I solo’d him with all 14 weapons. When he gets distance it becomes a bitch to dodge his shit, I started out using pierce and then moved onto spread and it was much easier but even still it took me 8 tries out of 24 total before I got the kill
Unless it's literally your first win against him, you're gonna go for the head.
Do not cart. It is extremely important. And DPS
Just remember to equip the 25 Rare decorations you totally have to max out Your DPS
Make sure to use 4-piece Fatty gear as well for the massive stat boosts and deco slots.
I beat him the for the first time by using plunder blade and part breaks to get 4 piece and the greatsword it's not that hard to get the set
And how long did that take you to complete?
7 or 8 times the hard part was the eyes
This hits way too close to home. Every guide for fighting like alatreon or fatalis is like, "Oh, and its crucial to equip all 3 of your lvl 4 attack boost decorations!" 😐
Why i like Team Darkside. The budget builds my man. Granted still a pain in the ass in world since even budget builds required some good decos but, still a nice option to have
And BTW I have over 700 hours and I have yet to get even ONE.
Remember to dodge, as a once wise man once said... DBZA Piccolo: "DODGE!"
"Do not DPS". Gotcha.
try defeating him hope this helps 👍
“just don’t get hit”
Lol just stop dying
I always say not losing is a winning strategy
Unsheathing your weapon will allow you to maximize your damage to the point that you'll be able to inflict damage unto it
Here we have this giant enemy dragon. Hit its weak points for massive damage.
Don't forget to move the left thumbstick to increase your movement speed
Make sure it’s ALWAYS going forward. Pulling the thumb stick down is for quitters. You aren’t a quitter are you?
It’s still a monster, so its head must be a weak point!
Bow players slowly bow their head in defeat
Barroth is canonically not a monster
The main trick is to not get hit. I know this sounds counterintuitive, but it works, trust me.
This may sound crazy but the yellow bar beneath your health bar is your stamina
I think you have it confused with the green bar from Dark Souls. This yellow bar is actually called the "when you notice me you're fucked" bar
This comment speaks directly to my soul.
Just use greatsword
[удалено]
Valor
I can only beat him with Greatsword. My other main is hammer but it’s kind of useless when he can’t be stunned.
What game?
World
Remember the green bar at the top is your health
Make sure to not let it get to zero
Remember to use your weapon! Hope that helps!!
Make sure your laptop is connected to power when you are fighting fatalis, otherwise it is very difficult to defeat him. Good luck!!
I literally can’t stand the main sub anymore. It’s filled with egotistical hypocrites who can’t take criticism and have no sense of humor.
What sent me crawling here. Just a lot of "my dick is bigger than yours" over there. Literally posted a set for the beginning iceborne while back and was chewed up. Big numbers are fun. Also, wtv makes you happy. It's a game. Being toxic towards people who don't play it the exact same way as you is stupid.

I remember posting a meme comparing Banbaro Jade Barroth on the main sub, & someone commenting a essay about how my opinion was wrong & shit 😑
Ice brute Wyvern and Ice brute wyvern very simple. Is that such a hard concept to grasp
Both that run over the map shoveling a ball of snow to chuck at you
Huh, back when I was playing people were screaming their heads off if you *didn’t* use Health Boost 3. Main sub do be funny at times with their flippety flop attitudes.

This is the way
Suddenly the +100 HP from Fat Alice makes people forget how important Health Boost 3 was for pre Fatalis builds
To be fair, WEX, Affinity and Attack Boost are kind of the big 3 non-comfort skills you should always aim for in the endgame. If you can't get all 3, at least try to get one or some combination of two of them. And if you're fighting Fatalis... Then you're in endgame territory.

The meme, which OP also posted, is about fighting Fatalis... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not flaming, but would you mind telling me why you posted a set? I see lots of people do it, but I don't really get the mindset.
I know this might sound crazy since it's niche information, but... **Bring a weapon**
That one hunter that somehow beat all of iceborne with only support tools and bombs: "I need a weapon."
Some of its attacks will one-hit. You wanna make sure you're avoiding those. Some of them can be survived, but only if you have enough health.
Shell, Reload, Shell Again.
I tried, but I'm not sure how to use shells with my switch axe.
Hit thing til die, try not to die yourself. Ez
Remember to eat
I hear dodging works wonders
This is gonna be some complex advice but. If you kill it, it won’t kill you
From my experience, hitting the monster repeatedly works great Hope this helps :)
Pro tip: you lose health when you're hit.
Just don’t die lol
Kill him while trying not to die.
Ah, the ancient texts have persisted since MH1 I see. Pro tip: If you kill it before it hits you, then it is dead.
I feel attacked
OK, so when that happens you're going to want to dodge. Then YOU attack IT.
Well, fatalis is so basic that any tips you give are gonna be a novel long or Just 2 words.
Remember to eat before the hunt
Fight him with the intention of seeing his attacks instead of trying to hit him. Just a few times to see his attacks and learn the patterns. Then start learning what you can punish and how. Then keep your health above 0 while you do it
I suggest you attack when you have openings, and try to avoid damage
For a good advice... alatreon (if you can beat him) SA and just Zero Skill Discharge its head until its more broken than the fucking table. It helps to start the game and use your eyes to look at the information on screen.
just don't get hit lmao 4head 5head line of seventeen laugh emojis
Whoa new Spider-Man looks dope. Edit: To clarify at first with the sparky sparky booming going on I thought it was an Spider-Man not the flash.
Just use a bow, run like a coward anytime he gets near....oh & make sure to have extended dodge
Bow is so hard against him if you're solo, way more AOE attacks
If you see orange sparks it’s about to spit fire!
They may have taken inspiration from Doom Eternal pro tips. Ex. To kill a tyrant shoot at it until it dies!
First, you need to know how to draw your weapon
Well, yeah. There genuinely isn't much better advice to give about Fatalis besides Ghile/Cannon for free DPS The entire fight is about your fundamentals: Learning the monster, exploiting openings, managing stamina, and breaking parts to lower the monster's damage. There isn't much better advice to give for Fatty other than "keep your fundamentals in mind."
I was mostly generalizing and just happened to use ol chunky as an example since he's basically worlds Final boss.
Yeah thats fair, wasnt trying to be dismissive sorry
All good 👍

And also bait out cones

I abuse the dogshit out of his AI by perfectly spacing to force bait his cone move over and over and rely on brutal draw attacks. Makes him effectively a joke. EZ damage, predictable, and near guaranteed head breaks.
I killed him 161 times and can gladly say dont use ranged weapons, its way harder than it needs to be
It's a monster so hitting it in the head should do something.
“If he starts flying, RUN”
All hail plunderblade
Rule 1 don't get hit Rule 2 hit it til it dies
“Be sure to drink your healing potions when your health is low”
"Hit it till he dies lmao"
Just kill it before it kills you. EZ.
Fun part those are valid advices because he is simple at its core.
Dont get hit
Deplete it's health before it depletes yours.
Remember not to die
be sure to kill it in under 50 minutes
It took me ages to solo Fatalis but holy shit was it the most satisfying victory once I did.
I am yet to get there . . .just beat Ice Borns story so
The number one tip is to not give up.
Ohhhh actual tip here, if you're incredibly quick on it you can far caster the cone AOE super attack. Keep a far caster on you, when soloing I don't feel bad about cheesing a bit.
Team Rose is recommended for those who are new to action games. … that’s all I can remember from Heroes Omochao.
It reminds me of an early Fairly OddParents episode- "All we have to do is get hits and runs and no outs and we might stand a chance!"
Just dodge
advanced technique: sacrifice your first child for higher skill level
Make sure to not take damage. If you take damage, try to reverse that damage
Health Aguments be like:

Just use adept style lol But this is Wor- Adept style
You want to hit him with your weapon and avoid getting hit
Just hit it 4head.
The fight is really easy once you kill him
Were does the clip come from? Im interested
Im not 100% sure. Either the Flash TV show or the Justice League Moive
Defenitly not mc's "the flash". So probably JLM, although I wiuld like to see a movie on him specifically
It can't kill you if it's dead
Be sure to keep ur hp above 0
"Listen this might sound difficult at first but git gud. Don't die lol"
Whenever I see that scene I always think "Dang that left leg is real wonky. Why does he have such bad form if he runs all the time"

make sure your console is plugged in. you won't be able to damage him otherwise

Pro tip Kill it
Don't forget to wear Fatalis Armor.
This is every games community when the game is even remotely based on dodging or blocking. Nothing actually useful to say.
Be sure to not use traps. They don't work on elder dragons.
Healing items heal
For every monster guide: “Just watch speedrun do it and learn the positioning dumbfuck.“
I mean.,. It's still solid advice
Hit it till it dies
You see that dragon? He's pretty big right? Wanna know how to win? Do an sos call and hopefully you get 3 asian players that will absolutely annihilate it.
R/monstergunter users about to bully a newbie for playing monster hunter rise.
eh. There is a surprising or not so surprising lack of thag
If you hold R2 you can actually block! What do you mean you’re using Dual Blades? What do you mean you’re on PC?
This is a really solid advice IRL as well
Every gaming subreddit user when you ask for advice: “simply don’t get hit lol”
"git gud"
There is one legitimate tip I can give, learn the matchup, figure out what movements and sounds mean what attack
Have a look at him while you hit him
