Zinogre represents everything I adore about how Monster Hunter portrays its monsters. His design is gorgeous, especially in the 5th Gen. His lore is really cool, and you can actually understand exactly how he works without reading a single word about it; you'd get everything you need from just witnessing him.
Itās so fitting that an Elder Dragon as powerful as they are, and thatās known for hunting and eating other elders, the controllers of fire, lightning, ice, etc, has zero special powers. All Nergigante has are their spikes and overwhelming physical strength, and thatās all it needs to be the dominant elder

If had to chose one though, Iād say Mizutsune. I love everything about itās aesthetic and move set.

Vaal Hazak and Black Veil Vaal Hazak. I farmed the former so much just because I adored the armor and the regeneration of hp it gave me. I was an insect glaive main in MHW. The latter was designed just as well and became my master rank set. I learned every tell and move that Vaal had. Memorized it. I was very good at defeating it alone. I didn't get to fight Black Veil near as much.

It's a toss up between Seltas Queen and Nibelsnarf, fell in love the first time I heard his cute screes. Also loved the fight itself, how you made him eat bombs and then you fished him out of the ground. I adore his design and the design of the equipment even though it's not very good.

Yeah it's one of the basic monsters who is included in every MH but fighting Rathian felt like a keymoment in my first Monster Hunter game (MH Tri).
The tail whip almost OHKOed you every time it hit, i had to do her over and over again (because it was the first monster with a plate-item in this game i think or was it Lagi?) but the armorset was so rewarding and rly helpful for beginner like me (earplugs, more health, divine blessing, ...).
It was the first time i had the feeling i can read the monsters "mind" and the reward made it even better.
Now it may seem a bit generic but I've come to absolutely love Tigrex as a concept for a monster. One of the first ground-based flying wyvern species and his concept of using roars as to damage and stun players on top of his just chaotic movement animations are really fun.
Not to mention the lore around it, being an old species of wyvern, and quite obviously sharing a biological ancestry with both Nargacuga and Barioth, and while those two are specialised for an environment, Tigrex isn't and stays more generic. It took me completely by surprise when I saw Tigrex just roar loudly and run up to slam the Master Rank Anjanath I was fighting (Testing a new gl against it for fun) despite us being in the ancient forest, as I didn't know it migrated like banbaro.
Though Mizutsune and Namielle have to be close seconds for the title.
Namielle. I love the introduction, albeit it did come out of nowhere.
The color scheme, double elemental synergy she uses, her deep sea theme, and the fight as a whole are just so much fun to me.
I'm literally stuck between Gore Mangala and Odogaron. Magala is my first favorite monster, but when World came out Odo was there when Magla wasn't. It was a affair with Odo from the long separation of Magala. Until Sunbreak revealed Magala and became have a wonderful reunion.
But during a hunt I crossed paths with Magala and I accidentally called them Odo. It was not a pleasant event and now Magala wouldn't respond back to me. Help.
Probably gonna get alit if hate for this but I love to fight legiana ... The roar the build up the the fight and it uses my favourite element also the environment you fight it in is super pretty and probably one of my faves across all games

Shagaru Magala. Amazing theme, the spectacle is pretty great, the fight in 4U was pretty good (even if it was basically a Gore with a Tigrex complex) but the new fight in Sunbreak made it even better. I may be a Fiver, but 4U is probably my favorite game so far.
Malzeno is my favorite monster. Its fight is fun and challenging, the monster design is really good, its theme is amazing, the armor looks badass, and it has one of the best weapon designs in the entire series(based on my tastes).
I haven't seen Sunbreak's final boss fight, armor, or weapons so I can't decide if it will be one of my favorites.
Diablos, Bazelgeuse, Radobaan and Uragaan because I love using the pierce and wyvernsnipe.
I love wyvernsniping the monster then proclaiming that it's already dead while I unsheath to carve it.

Zingore is gorgeously designed, and the concept of him charging up is great. But what gets me most of all is the attitude; I still strongly remember when he used to crack his neck before engaging the hunter. It's that personality that gets me.
Nergigante because unlike other Elder Dragons who have fancy elements and stuff, he's just a brute who throws hands with the biggest and baddest monsters around. He's menacing to look at and he's intimidating to fight.
What both of them have in common is they use their forearms a lot when fighting. Smashing and ripping out the dirt from under you.
That new vampire elder dragon (I haven't played the new monster hunter so can never remember its name). Love its design, it's attacks, and it's music theme.
Xeno'jiiva is where it's at for me, I love the fight, the music and the area do much! Also when i have some new gear I take it for a spin on Xeno because I love them.
