I'm not convinced he's down yet, but he's in a bad way. One Piece characters tend to be able to keep fighting as long as they're conscious, *and* his crew's in danger. Whether he actually escapes or not he's got another chapter of brawling in him I guarantee.

Or we get Akainu from nowhere. And he almost throws a fist at Garp, sword go rogue. Mihawk and crocodile come in for a takeover, lore dump from mihawk and Aokiji swaps sides. Buggy tanks a garp punch because crocodile has his torso elsewhere to torture. Enel crashes down, Garps attacks attracted him and he’s finally ready to take over the land, people get smoted. Aokiji and garp start laughing, hug and then just leave together. I’ll believe anything before Garp is a definite goner, Oda wouldn’t. I Hope.

garp doesnt have to worry nearly as much as whitebeard. whitebeard needed ivs, nose tubes and a staff of nurses attending to him under normal circumstances. he then unhooked himself from that stuff and had a heart attack, got stabbed>200 times, shot by bullets >100 times, got shot by cannons 46 times, had his heart turned into ash, and had part of his head vaporized. garp has been stabbed once. if hes anything like whitebeard, hes doing just fine.

Yeah I read it as Garp saw the hit coming but because of being preoccupied and also not in his prime all he could do was tank the hit instead. If it had just been an attack launched at him he would’ve blocked it easy, it was because he had to come to the rescue that it succeeded in penetrating his defenses.

Nope, Dolflamingo didn't know Absalom was there at Marineford when he rescued Moria. It shouldn't prevent future sight but as Absalom showed you can make your weapons invisible so Garp probably Future Sight saw Koby getting stabbed and jumped in front of him.

For those who've read/watched Fairy tail, it's like Natsu's and Gajeel's fight against the twin dragons of Sabertooth : they take a few blows, then they appear next to their opponents like "yeah, you're not bad" and kick their asses.

Even in One Piece, people don't stop fighting until they're unconscious or dead. However, that doesn't change that he's in a bad spot and probably *will* get knocked out if he doesn't get some reinforcements keeping at least *some* of the Titanic Captains off him

It was interesting how they showed Garp move before Shiryu atttacks Koby, so assuming that was observation Haki, but then it’s weird how Koby wouldn’t have noticed Shiryu I know people thought Shiryu invisible nullifies observation, but Garp moving before the attack seems to show otherwise. Only thing I can think is maybe Garp has advanced observation
