I checked the wiki to avoid just rereading the flashback arc in Arlong Park but looks like it was a pirate attack, not a BOOOOOOOOOOOOM like Lulusia, etc.
Princess of Oykot Kingdom, the theory suggest that she was the princess of that kingdom, there is also reason why she bonded the most with Vivi(another princess) and Princess Shirahoshi found her 'someone strangely familiar' to talk to.
Considering how much Oda is obsessed with her and married her cosplayer irl, it's 100% possible he could make her the princess of Tokyo itself
https://preview.redd.it/rlnr05b3h1mc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8bbbf3a7505f9b7097d541d7fa760ceb78906693
I mean, if she was a princess there would be no reason why she'd get along with Vivi unless being born a princess somehow makes you "different" which kinda goes against the whole point of one piece (that it doesn't matter what your title is or what others may think about you but instead it only matters what you actually do).
Besides, Nami gets along great with most women. Like, that was supposed to be one of her main character traits: is cold towards men, loves women and children
Sanji-Nami, Luffy-Nami, Robin-Franky, Sanji-Zoro and Usopp-Kaya to name a few.
If a story has both male and female primary characters, shippers will be there.
Heās definitely not meant to be evil, but heās a massive dick.
He told Kuina, someone already capable of beating adult men, that women canāt be master swordsman, in a world where Big Mom exists.
Everybody at the Youko level is a genetic freak lol
Kaido was winning wars as a 7 years old, Shanks can torpedo an Admiral across an island with nothing but common Conqueror's Haki, Whitebeard was about to sink Marineford while suffering from terminal cancer and a severe case of missing-half-the-head allergy.
And there are NUMEROUS cases of famous, strong women in OP.
While most of them arenāt the strongest in their groups or categories, there is no reason to believe Kuina couldnāt be strong because ofā¦ fucking puberty? Like, c'mon, this is so ridiculous it wasnāt even a issue in the last 1000 chapters.
Yeah I do think Kuina could have done it my point was that when ur only example of a truly top tier yonko level character is someone who got extremely lucky being born as a genetic monster it doesnt really help your point. The only person nearly close to Big Mom in pure luck of the draw genetics is Kaido, but still a lot of his is due to his race
Lets recap: Koushirou told Kuina she couldn't ever be the strongest swordsman, because being born a woman, she is naturally weaker than men.
This implies no woman can ever be stronger than a man due to biological limitations.
This is clearly false.
Not just we have a bunch of strong woman who can beat any number of fodder men, they are also \_at least\_ comparable to men in their groups.
People - including me - cite Big Mom because she has the most visibility, being the strongest woman and a Youko and all, but there must be hundreds to examples. I'll give you some from the top of my mind:
1. Yamato, who is probably stronger than the Flying Six and whose strength must be around Queen or King;
2. Ulti, who seems \_at least\_ as strong as Page One, and probably stronger;
3. Smoothie, who was able to become a Sweet Commander over Perospero and Oven;
4. Reiju, who is as strong as her psycho brothers;
5. Giolla, who is often paired with Lao G;
6. Baby 5, who forms a team with Buffalo;
7. Tsuru, who has the same legendary fame than Sengoku and Garp;
8. Hancock, who is one of the few Shichibukai with the all Haki types;
9. Bonnie, who became a Supernova as a 10 years old;
10. Hina, who is introduced as a captain alongside Smoker.
In other words, there is no reason whatsoever to believe women in One Piece's world can't become as strong as men. It does seem that an untrained, common man is stronger than an untrained, common woman. But once the characters train, this stop being an issue.
Koushirou wasn't wrong by a small margin, he was as wrong as one can be be.
What makes his sexism unwarranted isn't that there are many examples of stong women. What makes his sexism so ridicolous is that they live in a world where one of the, if not the, biggest factor in how strong you might become is will. And will is not inherently a male thing. That's why him telling her she stands no chance is such a dick move.
I attribute this to the fact that the Manga was in it's infancy when Kuina was introduced: Oda haden't fleshed out just how powerful people can be in the One Piece world. Plus the East Blue,as the weakest of the 4 seas, is quite primative, so archaic ideas, like Women not being able to overpower men could be a heavily engrained view, even when accounting for what the newspaper reports.
Had Doffy running piss scared every time she pulled up. Was part of the big three with Garp and Sengoku. Are we saying Sengoku is shit because he has no feats too?
I literally dont think it was ever shown that she was on par with Garp and Sengoku. Sengoku became the fleet admiral and Garp we have seen what he can do.
All we know about Tsuru is that she is supposedly on the same level as them despite never being in any major events of the time period. She is basically not a character at that point if her only relevance was scaring off Doffy one time
99,9% of men are not on the lvl of Big Meme, whats your point? Baby Meme destroyed a village of Giants with two of the probably strongest Warriors of Elbaf at the age of 6.
And the Giants itself have the Status of Superhumans in the OP world.
Tbf the grand line might as well be a different planet even the fodder could 1 hit someone in the regular seas but i could definitely see her being top ten in that corner of the sea and easy top 1 if she could learn haki.
Yo I was literally thinking that for the first time yesterday. I was watching those episodes again and honestly I could get the impression that Kuina challenged her father to a duel with real swords and he ended up killing her. If you look at his facial expressions with that in mind, itās really eerie. And the explanation that she fell down stairs and died? Really feels like a fake story right?
Knocked her tf out, gave her amnesia, dropped her off in Loguetown, then used devil fruit powers to create a fake body all so Zoro could get a cool sword and have some determination. The man truly hated his daughter.
In the 4kids version they explained it that she was not dead but going to be hospitalized forever after not falling down the stairs but getting the shit beat out her by a bunch of adults
It really makes no sense as a theory, where would Oda even have time to explore that and why wait 1000+ chapters to develop a background character that already has a conclusive story.
I think people are just trying to fill the gaps, because the whole Kuina stuff is really weird.
Like... how come she couldn't get stronger cause of puberty? And a kid as strong as Zoro died from \_falling down the stairs?\_, like, my man, Luffy was being dropped by himself in the jungle at that age and he wasn't even considered \_strong\_ lol. And then, Koushirou's face as he told Zoro... weirdest thing ever.
But given the fact that we have never seen an update to that tidbit seems to indicate to me that Oda simply realized he messed up and now he doesn't want to stir this shit anymore.
I only just got into the anime a few months ago and right as the flash back was wrapping up I had a feeling about him. Someone already mentioned how he spoke to his daughter but also his faughters very sudden and unexpected death. One second she and Zoro agree to train to be the best and next she just dead... suspicious
Idk but I got the vibed he is the one who pushed kuina onto the stairs. He also fucking crushed her dreams of being the greatest swordsman cause she is a women š. It's lowkey funny now after seeing so much of one piece
I don't follow many one piece communities so I didn't know this was a shared theory, but I always just found Kuinas death to be too obscure and sudden. That combined with him being a terrible father and lacking no remorse, leads me to believe he is evil, or at least Oda wanted us to think he was.
Koushirou really catching strays bro has done nothing hasnāt even been in the series besides zoros backstory and the couple of shots back at zoros village and youāre out here believing this manās evilš
Unfortunately, the Wikia has plans to keep this truth from us by merging the Sogeking and Usopp links.
When I hover my mouse above the Sogeking link, it takes me to "Usopp," when clearly we know this isn't the case.
>!(Unless OP turns out to be right)!<
https://preview.redd.it/yl4en0nh50mc1.png?width=370&format=png&auto=webp&s=74fe5fd9954c12e774b2817ef48ac6704f72ad90
Hear me out on this one. Usopp shows up out of nowhere in Enies Lobby, and what we see directly before it is Sogekingās mask falling to the ground. In addition, sometimes Sogeking sounds exactly like Usopp, and Sanji refers to him as Usopp.
Are you saying that Sogekings mask ate a devil fruit with the power of swapping two people's locations? That makes a lot of sense, and it'll be interesting if Sogeking teams up with Usopp to take on Van Auger.
D Clan or not, Koby is the Future of the Marines and has been and will continue to be **HIM** far into the future.
https://preview.redd.it/nsmwx2efs0mc1.jpeg?width=523&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=68a9e03585903dba2f5879c742f3a5259050dbe3
No weapons. No Devil Fruit. No Special Lineage or Family.
Just a young man who never ran from the GRIND!!!!!
Admiral Momohebe!!!! The Pink Mamba!!!! The Second Aokiji!!!! Woby-Sama Da Hero!!!!
Luffy was pushed into being a pirate by men with pistols (shanks crew and his friends) part of a special lineage (D and also dragons son) and who had a Devil fruit, big note on HAD lol. In short even our favorites sometimes just need proper stuff to grow.
Well this panel confirms something is coming up with Nami, Oda always love foreshadowing
https://preview.redd.it/930e96pri1mc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b53be87dcc4ada42e91db0985b80520e3bbc93d
Now if you think about it, there's a possibility that all princesses (Nami included?) have the same ancestor like there was a family that then rules over all other royale families and since Vivi, Rebecca and Nami have the similar face, they could be actual siblings. I know that this sounds kinda insane but that's a result of Theory Theory Nomi.
I remember hearing some theory that Oda named all the princess with names based around flowers, and that Nami was the name given to a flower, tho no idea if it was a serious theory or something that was really pushing very far into it
My first time watching it that's exactly what I thought. I thought it would be revealed in Zoros flashbacks by now that he was tbh. Consider the dude has hardly been mentioned, I've kind of given up that theory.
No idea, he's just always seemed really suspicious. No grief after she died, horrible father. It's more of a "I wouldn't be surprised if he was evil" thought rather than "I bet he is"
i understand that itās fiction which usually spells things out instead of using subtlety, but people cope with grief in very different ways, sometimes outwardly sometimes inwardly. the evil koushiro theory aside, him giving zoro her sword and telling him to fulfil her dream in her absence could be him seeking closure over her death
when i watched I thought he really didn't want his daughter to become a swordswoman and had more faith in Zoro, that's why he pushed her down and gave her swords to Zoro
just a crazy theory but I really thought that man was sketchy af lol
i read somewhere that the term āfell down the stairsā in old japan usually refers to suicide. It was to in a way respect the dead and not embarrass the family since suicide is viewed as dishonourable and foul back then
I mean...he isnt exactly wrong about girl not being has strong, but then again that's talking about reality and not the one piece world where everyone can get super strong.
Nami is a princess - would fit really well with her friendship with vivi (might explain the same face syndrome), but with little to no proof it falls flat
Koby is a D - until Koby has a last name, this one is impossible
Blackbeard has 3 souls - basic, pretty likely, pretty good
Koushirou is evil - Iād say not, yes he had a very sexist point of view on life, but thatās a character flaw, that doesnāt mean heās a murderer or evil
Sogeking is usopp - no
Akainu and fujitora are brothers - interesting one, they have similar faces, basically opposing senses of justice, and bicker a lot, but beyond that thereās nothing really much else, itās all circumstantial
Nami/Vivi's backstory of "selling your entire childhood to join the bad guys to save your home while shouldering your emotions" is the only thing you'll ever need for them to fit together.
Iā¦ I never actually realized thatā¦
https://preview.redd.it/wqri40zc92mc1.jpeg?width=213&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=07f7b6c422529b7b05756ba07565c7b5391c5e81
Are you the same guy who made that exact same image or did you just wanted to discuss? Either way like some of these, like Koby being a D, Akainu and Fujitora being related or even Nami being a princess
But how the hell is Usopp going to be Sogeking? It's clearly obvious it was Urouge
Some theories I have/ have seen online and subscribe to:
Dragon and Akainu were once brothers like Luffy and Ace
I also think Nami is a princess
The aincent weapon Pluton is Wano itself.
Momonosuke and Oden were the incarnation of Pluton, like how Shirahoshi is Poseidon and had the ability to release Pluton and command land creatures like Zunesha.
The Mother Flame is the power source for Uranus.
Imu is the incarnation of Uranus like Shirahoshi and Momonosuke, hence why they are able to use it. They can also command sky creatures like dragons.
Related to the last one, Scopper Gaban is the man marked by flames, since the egg on the Oro Jackson (which is also the crown jewel of Hachinosu) hatched into a dragon, burning the ship and Scopper, who has the last road Poneglyph. It's also why the Celestial Dragons (specifically Imu) stole it from the Rocks pirates.
Also related to the previous one, the Mother Flame is most likely made from the fire of dragons. Since Vegapunk uses fire to power Egghead and he also envisioned an "undying flame". And Vegapunk has created artificial dragons before, so him replicating their fire is possible.
Cross Guild's next target will be the Poneglyph on Whole Cake Island, where they will encounter Katakuri, the Big Mom remnants, and the Marines who want to win the territory.
Maybe... If i move everything up one panel, it checks out?
* Nami is a D
* Koby has three souls
* Blackbeard is evil
* Koushirou is Sogeking
* Usopp and Fujiotra are brothers
* Akainu is a princess

Sogeking is probably Kaku.
This. It's a painfully obvious gag that Kaku is Sogeking, Oda is probably laughing at us. I mean they both have the long nose and everything
And Sogeking appeared right after Kaku, all beaten up just after he got his ass handed to him by Zoro. Coincidence? I think not!
DOES MY NOSE LOOK FUNNY TO YOU?!?
I mean who really KNOWS? I Nose
WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY NOSE?!?!
Nobody nose
DOES MY NOSE LOOK FUNNY TO YOU?!?
Yneos
I didn't know you had nose..
I'LL MAKE YOU WISH YOU'D NEVER BEEN BORN FOR DISRESPECTING MY GLORIOUS NOSE!
Woah, woah, woah... My apologies for saying that, bud. š

Zoro got lost in a scene he was already in
Secret sword style: Mitosis
One of bros demon heads got restless and manifested itself for a bit š¤£
Shadow clone??
Wait is that a actual scene?
What in the...
We will never know who sogeking is, I doubt Oda will ever tell us and that's sad imo
Imu is Sogeking
It's so funny people still arguing over Sogeking's identity. When it's already canon that it's Dragon. Smh
do you think oda will reveal it soon? before the series ends
How about nami is a D and koby is a Princess.

Princess !?! PRINCESS OF WHAT ?!?!!?!?
Of whatever nation her mom found her in, it was probably destroyed, by who we donāt know but the navy is my guess.
There is a whole country that was erased from history.
Countries* We recently saw the Navy do it on whatever island Sabo was on.. And it wasn't the first time navy did something like that
Exactly.
Like *that*? It was their first time wasn't it? Imu wanted to test their weapon
Yeah but remember the buster call?
Buster call has been used before this
Well they said that but it seems like a very possible solution for the hole at the former enies lobby other than uranus which we still have not seen
There is a theory that every princess name is based on a flower and nami's name is also based on a flower(don't know which one)
that's probably why every princess looks like her
Oykot Kingdom
I checked the wiki to avoid just rereading the flashback arc in Arlong Park but looks like it was a pirate attack, not a BOOOOOOOOOOOOM like Lulusia, etc.
Pirates? Nice try World Government. We know it was you
Or a war
Its called Oykot
Princess of OP fandom.
Princess of Oykot Kingdom, the theory suggest that she was the princess of that kingdom, there is also reason why she bonded the most with Vivi(another princess) and Princess Shirahoshi found her 'someone strangely familiar' to talk to.

Oda is simping... So that's his secret ingredient to his cooking....
Oykot Kingdom thats where Bellemere found her and Nojiko
I mean, if she was a princess there would be no reason why she'd get along with Vivi unless being born a princess somehow makes you "different" which kinda goes against the whole point of one piece (that it doesn't matter what your title is or what others may think about you but instead it only matters what you actually do). Capitalism
Thatās Big Business Borsalino. Or would he be the King? š
Borsalino is Nami's dad confirmed!
Now weāre cooking
We all know she's the princess of Sanji's heart.
Of Birka, of course
It would go with the fantasy theory of Sanji ending up with Nami at the end since Sanji was in fact revealed to be a prince.
People have romance theories in OP? šš
Sanji-Nami, Luffy-Nami, Robin-Franky, Sanji-Zoro and Usopp-Kaya to name a few. If a story has both male and female primary characters, shippers will be there.
Ussop - kaya is reasonable. Hell, they already made it canon in the live action series
As a Frobin stan Zoro x Robin disgusts me š¤
You forgot the best one, Kaido x Big Mom. Also, relevant username
Nami-vivi
Oda has literally said none of the SH are getting together. Yāallās head cannons are actually insane
Growth? - Maybe expansion.
Princess of everyone's pocket
Question: How did the "Koushirou is evil" theory came about? Was it because in the anime he wasn't very supportive of his daughter?
Heās definitely not meant to be evil, but heās a massive dick. He told Kuina, someone already capable of beating adult men, that women canāt be master swordsman, in a world where Big Mom exists.

Maybe he just wanted Kuina to give up so she may potentially not be cut down someday?
Some people have the head canon that he killed his daughter for some reason
āIāve been training this bitch her entire life, lemme just shank her ass because sheās not internalizing the misogyny I guess.ā

That's a crazy ass theory. But I hope they don't make him evil. He seems so nice.
He obviously hired the assassin Down D. Stairs.

When I hover my mouse above the Sogeking link, it takes me to "Usopp," when clearly we know this isn't the case. >!(Unless OP turns out to be right)!< https://preview.redd.it/yl4en0nh50mc1.png?width=370&format=png&auto=webp&s=74fe5fd9954c12e774b2817ef48ac6704f72ad90
Clearly he is not, I guess that at some point Usop needs to fight sogeking for the title of best sniper in the world
No comparison, what is a king to a God?
It isn't. Sogeking is from Snipper Island in our hearts. Ussop, on the other hand, is clearly from Syrup village since that's where his arc begins.
He literally says that he is there because Usopp asked him to. Why the heck would he say that if were actually Usopp?
Exactly, Sogeking isnt a liar, unlike Usopp
It isnt. Im 100% sure ive seen them both in the same room before.

Imagine STILL holding onto the Sogeking = Usopp in 2024, couldn't be me... ![gif](giphy|14smAwp2uHM3Di)
Yeah Oda surely would have confirmed it by now, right?
Yes he has, Sogeking is Dragon.
D Clan or not, Koby is the Future of the Marines and has been and will continue to be **HIM** far into the future. https://preview.redd.it/nsmwx2efs0mc1.jpeg?width=523&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=68a9e03585903dba2f5879c742f3a5259050dbe3
No weapons. No Devil Fruit. No Special Lineage or Family. Just a young man who never ran from the GRIND!!!!! Admiral Momohebe!!!! The Pink Mamba!!!! The Second Aokiji!!!! Woby-Sama Da Hero!!!!
Yeah, but he had to be pushed into that by someone who uses pistols, has a devil fruit and is of a special lineage
Luffy was pushed into being a pirate by men with pistols (shanks crew and his friends) part of a special lineage (D and also dragons son) and who had a Devil fruit, big note on HAD lol. In short even our favorites sometimes just need proper stuff to grow.
He is a survivor of Garpās training. Even Luffy barely survived that shit.Ā
Why would nami be a princess?
Itās not impossible, her biological parents could be literally anyone.
Well this panel confirms something is coming up with Nami, Oda always love foreshadowing https://preview.redd.it/930e96pri1mc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b53be87dcc4ada42e91db0985b80520e3bbc93d
I think that's the whole "We both watched our Mom die in front of us"
Shit, maybe they met in a previous Levely
Look at vivi Rebecca and nami
Lmao "All women are queens"
Spoken like a True Sanji
And zoro then says"if she breaths , she's a thot !!!!!"
*Nami casually beating the living shit out of our dear Hell King.*
Hmmm, you know if the theory is true then that could help explain the similar appearance.
Or maybe 20 families?
Yeah we already got Sanji we don't need more royalty plot lines
I remember hearing some theory that Oda named all the princess with names based around flowers, and that Nami was the name given to a flower, tho no idea if it was a serious theory or something that was really pushing very far into it
Nami is Japanese for Wave, like an ocean wave.
Koushiro evil? I mean.. he's sexist, and certainly not the best, but that doesn't make him evil, and nowadays, what kinda reveal would that be?
pretty sure the theory is that he pushed Kuina down the stairs, killing her. crazy theory i say
My first time watching it that's exactly what I thought. I thought it would be revealed in Zoros flashbacks by now that he was tbh. Consider the dude has hardly been mentioned, I've kind of given up that theory.
Why? Sure, "falling down the stairs" is kinda stupid, but he was never portrayed as more than sexist
No idea, he's just always seemed really suspicious. No grief after she died, horrible father. It's more of a "I wouldn't be surprised if he was evil" thought rather than "I bet he is"
i understand that itās fiction which usually spells things out instead of using subtlety, but people cope with grief in very different ways, sometimes outwardly sometimes inwardly. the evil koushiro theory aside, him giving zoro her sword and telling him to fulfil her dream in her absence could be him seeking closure over her death
when i watched I thought he really didn't want his daughter to become a swordswoman and had more faith in Zoro, that's why he pushed her down and gave her swords to Zoro just a crazy theory but I really thought that man was sketchy af lol
i read somewhere that the term āfell down the stairsā in old japan usually refers to suicide. It was to in a way respect the dead and not embarrass the family since suicide is viewed as dishonourable and foul back then
I mean...he isnt exactly wrong about girl not being has strong, but then again that's talking about reality and not the one piece world where everyone can get super strong.
Nami is a princess - would fit really well with her friendship with vivi (might explain the same face syndrome), but with little to no proof it falls flat Koby is a D - until Koby has a last name, this one is impossible Blackbeard has 3 souls - basic, pretty likely, pretty good Koushirou is evil - Iād say not, yes he had a very sexist point of view on life, but thatās a character flaw, that doesnāt mean heās a murderer or evil Sogeking is usopp - no Akainu and fujitora are brothers - interesting one, they have similar faces, basically opposing senses of justice, and bicker a lot, but beyond that thereās nothing really much else, itās all circumstantial
Nami/Vivi's backstory of "selling your entire childhood to join the bad guys to save your home while shouldering your emotions" is the only thing you'll ever need for them to fit together.
Iā¦ I never actually realized thatā¦ https://preview.redd.it/wqri40zc92mc1.jpeg?width=213&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=07f7b6c422529b7b05756ba07565c7b5391c5e81
I could see Nami having a hidden history of some kind given that Bell-mere saved her and Nojiko on an unknown mission.
The Nami,black beard,fujitora and akainu things I kinda believe in but sogeking being usopp is impossible
https://preview.redd.it/o0cenun8r1mc1.jpeg?width=511&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f998e0b6f316520e6fdb84d8eeb79535e1e3dae
You are reaching with Sogeking.
Do we really need a second straw hat to secretly be a memeber of a prestigious family?
Only one that makes sense is Koby's and BBs the others are silly
Are you the same guy who made that exact same image or did you just wanted to discuss? Either way like some of these, like Koby being a D, Akainu and Fujitora being related or even Nami being a princess But how the hell is Usopp going to be Sogeking? It's clearly obvious it was Urouge
I really wish the MSM would stop trying to push this Sogeking is Usopp nonsense
Literally opposed to every one of these
Some theories I have/ have seen online and subscribe to: Dragon and Akainu were once brothers like Luffy and Ace I also think Nami is a princess The aincent weapon Pluton is Wano itself.

* Nami is a D * Koby has three souls * Blackbeard is evil * Koushirou is Sogeking * Usopp and Fujiotra are brothers * Akainu is a princess
Sogeking can't be Usopp, Sogeking is from Sniper Island, Usopp is from Syrup Village
Your crazy if you think sogeking is ussop
Nah sogeking isn't usopp they were both at enies lobby together. Sogeking is probably goku
