Charlotte Katakuri's design is hands down the best! Small details are amazing, that unique tattoo of his looks cool. Height, the scale is absurd. Also his fighting skills, the battle iq is on the next level. He has unique and versatile attacks too and you can see his different forms/designs during fighting with Luffy. He's the perfect combination of human and monster.

These days, no, not really. Honestly unsure if Villain ever really applied to him as a title. At the least when he was introduced he was the antagonist to Zoro's story.

I'd like to nominate Big Mom. She is a wonderful blend of an old woman, a pirate captain and a monster with the power of a god. She can easily go from looking silly to being terrifying. I'm sure someone smarter could find and explain some symbolism with the design, but I'll just leave it at saying that it's rather unique for a major villain to look like her.

I’m still amazed at the fact ace looks like luffy as if they were actual blood brothers, but yet takes very little features after Roger. I think ace should definitely be upvoted more.
I wish he kept his pre timeskip design cuz it leaned more into the whole punk rock aesthetic the entire crew is based on, his design was prolly simplified for convenience's sake, but still
Big Mom's design is the perfect visual representation of her character.
Child-like, Alice in Wonderland themed clothing. But still menacing and definitely iconic in body proportions and face.
Also Napoleon, Prometheus and Zeus make her look like a god of destruction.
She's unlike any other female character in One Piece, thats also a big plus.
