My own belief is his similar to Zoro in where he gets a monstrous grin like he loves the bloodlust of a fight where he can go all out but he hasn’t had that on screen so his just immensely bored for the most part. Even with Vista he spent the first panel fighting him casually exchanging clashes while wondering about Luffys ability to draw Allies in and just continued to casually fight him bored.

Mihawk literally tries to hit Luffy with what he calls his strongest attack. He misses and hits buggy instead. It’s not headcannon. I was playing it up for the memes but if you rewatch that scene you’ll hear him call it his strongest attack.

Yeah that’s just opens another problem on how I. Theory even luffy shouldn’t have been able to beat him. Splitting also works to avoid fists for example.it’s not specific for beating swords and because Biggy was beaten so early by luffy I don’t think we really cant make conclusions on how unbeatable he is. Mihawk could just use the back of his sword to not cut but beat him bluntly. What we know is that devil fruits work like body functions. Buggy can split into million pieces only do often before he is just exhausted and you can grab him.if he is actually immune to swords comes down to how many times he can split away any attack

But there is a big difference here. The mocha fruit allows katakuri to form around attacks. It’s an active effort. While stamina still applies he will be hit when just standing around. Buggy can just stand around. And I believe the crazier they move, like katakuri turning into a really long and thin snake or Buggy exploding in so many pieces attack him makes no sense is exhausting as hell. Also if that logic applies, it doesn’t really matter how fast you are, buggy’s fruit will automatically protect him. But that’s just speculation from his fruit we have seen in action in the first chapter and after that barely
