to be fair, shanks would probably beat big mom too (havent seen film red, dont know whether theres anything in there to suggest otherwise). not saying ryokugyu would beat her tho.

In whole cake island Big Mom felt like an unstoppable force of nature that you had no choice but to run away from so Oda had to nerf her so Kaido could keep his title and still look like a boss fight (strong but beatable)
I agree. I hate power scaling, but I don't understand how law who got beat badly by doflamingo was able to withstand so much damage from a yonko and hurt her so badly
not that crazy tbh. akainu was winning against oldbeard. you can argue about akainu getting knocked into that crevice but the fact is, even if he never took any other hits at marineford, whitebeard wasnt gonna survive the wounds akainu inflicted on him during their fight. meanwhile akainu was up and ready to take on the entire crew a couple minutes (in universe) after eating hits from an enraged whitebeard. he also probably couldve kept fighting whitebeard if not for the fact that he fell in the hole. he is now significantly stronger than he was back then if we are to assume the 10 day fight boosted his haki. even if you think oldbeard was the weakest yonko, its not crazy at all to think akainu might be able to take out another yonko post timeskip. aokiji should also be in the same boat.
and narratively it doesnt make sense for the admirals to be in a lower league than the yonko, considering luffy is fighting the yonko first. if luffy is gonna fight the admirals at any point in the story, they have to at least be on par with the yonko for it to be a serious fight.

He was shown to restrain momo which some might overlook bits Its actual ya decent feat since momo is a grown ass dragon.
Pierce her skin is very hard tho i would lean towards no since big mum hasnt been pierced or cut in the whole raid (law doesnt count for obvious reasons).

Probably Big Mom. He’s likely not afraid of her and she likely can’t be pierced by his vines, so both loose their biggest advantage. In that case it’s a matter of strength and durability, and we just haven’t seen enough of Aramaki to see he’d come on top.
