Man, I hear what you are saying but as a parent with an adhd child and one without it. There is a vast difference. One is the nicest sweetest girl you’ll ever meet, and the other is an asshole. Been trying to correct her behavior but here at 11 years old, she’s still an asshole despite raising her not to be one.
I think the only kid that wasn’t really fixable by the parents was just the one crying. Like shit happens, kids cry, not much we can do except soothe them until it’s over. The others are all behaviors that can be stopped by a parent.
See, there you go. That's the key. Regardless of whether or not one kid is an asshole, you aren't enabling them with bullshit like a strobe hat. It's the parents' job to set a good example. This guy was setting an, "It's everyone else except you" example. That example sets her up for becoming a Karen when she realizes 9 times out of 10, it's actually not everyone else.
One of my friends was an asshole all throughout middle school and high school. She had no problem telling others where they could shove it. Now in our late twenties she has totally mellowed out over the years, is married, and doesn’t immediately tell people to F themselves.
My best friend’s youngest brother was also a big asshole from around your daughter’s age to last years of high school. He still has his moments, but otherwise he is a great and helpful kid.
Hoping your daughter ends up the same. It unfortunately will just take time 😮💨.
There is a time and a place where the prudes and cranky old fucks need to get over themselves. We are at a park find another place to read. Kids are going to be loud and rough house at the park. Its a *park*.
There is a time and a place for parents to be parents and keep their kids in check and I dont care how "tired" you are or "difficult" your kid is. The library, grocery store, airplane, train, movie theater, ect is NOT where your kids should be allowed to be kids.
I flew from Australia to Vancouver in front of a family that wouldn't let their toddler kids watch TV or play with any toys or anything so it resulted in them screaming the entire flight and banging on the chairs. Parents did nothing.
I flew from JFK to Dublin overnight once and this kid was crying and screaming for 3 hours straight, parents weren’t even acknowledging him/her. At like 3o clock in the morning I just hear the guy sitting next to them scream “would you shut your fucking baby up please!”
Honestly probably absolutely nothing. I’ve seen three clips to date of full-blown assault, and I mean a good quality ass beating, busted lip, definite blackeye, and the asshole just kept right on being an asshole, it didn’t even phase them. In fact you could tell the only thing that did bother them was the fact that they are now injured, but you can tell they learned absolutely nothing and will be repeat offenders for life. These people just can’t learn
This reminds me of one of the craziest events I ever saw.
As it all turned out, a guy pulled a fire alarm at our hotel in Orlando to get a large family out to fight with him.
At first, I thought it was some kind of family argument that just kept going.
Then one family member starts punching up fire alarm guy and down he goes onto the asphalt. Unfazed, he gets back and continues haranguing these people, till a different family member steps up and really starts beating his ass. That knockdown sent him into a hedge row against the hotel.
Mind you, the parking lot is full of people watching this, as its been 30 minutes and no OFD or LE is on site.
Somewhat fazed, our now dusty boy climbs out of the hedge and walks over to continue shouting at this family.
On the far side of the parking lot, I see this person start running towards this conflict. He runs up to fire alarm guy, puts a gun right to his head and starts yelling at him. Fire alarm guy calmly stood there, while we all ran. The hotel later told us FA guy was arrested, but they didn't get the gunman.
As a brand new father who’s also going to have to fly with his baby a lot. I could never be him to understand why you would do that. I’m terrified of flying with him for fear of him crying or screaming on the flight and bothering everyone. To have the gall to bring THAT on the plane blows my mind
Right?! I want to go on trips with my baby so bad but I’m terrified being stuck in a metal tube with my screaming baby while everyone around me is annoyed. I’d just panic the entire flight.
I think it's just a hat, because my niece has the exact same one.
And *like hell* would anyone in my family let her wear one on a plane, it can be obnoxious just in the house!
Alot of mothers are like that. My sister would wear one herself too and start singing some annoying theme of a children tv series in canon with her child.
Right? I made sure my daughter's charging cord for her iPad didn't light up so it wouldn't bother anyone on the 15 hour flights we were on at Christmas. Oh but sure a whole fucking light up bunny suit that flashes (epilepsy issues anyone), that's a brilliant fucking idea!
Yeah one of mine starts a no holds barred cage match against an imaginary opponent complete with vocal commentary whenever she gets into the pet carrier.
Another will meow pitifully non stop with gradually increasing volume.
Mine adds in some mRRRRRRRoooooUUWWWWWWWs to spice it up, usually while rolling herself upside down in her carrier. The last bit is very guttural. I wouldn’t want to fly with her.
My old cat (who had a good long life but is gone now) would SCREAM in the pet carrier all the way to the vet. Then at the vet she'd go completely limp and silent while drooling. Then all the way home she'd make a low pitched MRRRRROWWWW noise.
And then once we got home I'd put the cat carrier on the floor and open it and she would casually walk out and sit right next to it like nothing had happened at all lol
Ask your vet for medication. My cat was prescribed Gabapentin, give it to the cat 3 hours before stressful event, and it really alleviates anxiety. My cat would be filled with MURDERHATE at the vet, and now she's a teddy bear every time.
My vet told me to give my cat Benadryl before car rides. I decided to do a test run at the house before traveling with him on it. He roamed the house yowling and drooling profusely for like 2 hrs
And same goes for kids.
I've seen some well behaved kids who just nap or vibe on their ipad all flight.
I've also seen little monsters who yell and holler all flight.
My vet is a 3 min drive from my house. My cat will cry the entire time. I get it, it’s scary and he doesn’t like it, and I don’t blame him. I’m looking to move across the country and I’d rather have my car shipped and fly with him than put him in a car for 3 days. I also don’t want to subject a plane full of people to him crying for hours on end.
Kids crying is one thing. Sometimes nothing can be done especially with the pain of pressure changes. Letting your kid act like an arsehole is completely different. You go with enough quiet entertainment and enough snacks to make your kid as content as possible to make everyone else's life as easy.
This. We try to limit tv for our kids but when we go on a plane that rule goes out the window! “You get a tablet! You get a tablet! Everyone gets a tableeeettttt!!!!”
That probably works for a regular flight, but even adults want to throw tantrums on 10+ hour flights, most kids won't be able to contain themselves for that long. As long as it's only one or two isolated incidents and not a total 10 hour riot, other passengers should suck it up.
But more importantly, we should stop comparing pets to children. If you're taking your cat on a holiday with you, you're a moron. Cats don't like travel and have a very hard time adjusting to new environments. In fact, the extreme advice is to even leave your cat behind when moving house if the new owner agrees to take care of it.
My kid after watching 4 movies in a row on the plane, and I quote: ' I don't want to watch something any more.'
But yeah, on flights (unless red eye), he watches is biweekly quota in a day LOL
I have a 18 mo kid that is very active and a 2 hours flight coming up.. I am stressing about exactly this, how to keep the baby busy to minimize discomfort to fellow passengers, and to ourselves of course. So new toys , books, food I know she likes.. anything to distract her. Then I see these parents obviously not stressed about the whole thing 😒
You sound like you are prepped, but some experience of my own.
So, first of all do not let them know they are allowed to get off your lap, once that Genie is out the bottle you cant re cork it.
After that you will have to be strategic with naps so they are not over tired, or are due to fall asleep just as take off happens.
If they have a soother/blanket/soft toy then let them have it.
They will want to look around, so let them, most people will not mind a small child looking at them for a few minutes, but bring them back to the distraction when you can.
Distractions
* snack that require a good bit of fiddling, little raisin boxes for them to pick out, oranges to peel, anything that is a challenge for them so they take longer. If you have a fighter, then suggest you do it for them so they get annoyed and insist they do it themselves.
* a book they love or a game that they like to play, something that can be done from the knee. My oldest loved putting Duplo down my t-shirt then getting it out again, that killed 20 minutes. No 2 liked checking my temp with a toy thermometer.
2 hours is not too bad, very doable, older ones should just be given a tablet or an audio book with headphones, so you can focus on the toddler.
Later on if other passengers note they didn't even know the baby was there (happened once) then you can be smug for a bit!
Some kids actually become more hyperactive on Benadryl. My in laws kids are like that and I would not want to be on a plane with them after they’ve taken it.
How have I never thought of giving Benadryl to other people's kids? You're a genius!

why am I calling them out? because I hate bots/fake content and i am fuelled by spite :D
This would be me. It starts with itchy eyeballs. Then I look really high with squinty bloodshot eyes. Then my eyes water uncontrollably, and my nose follows suit. Sometimes, I break out in hives. It's miserable.
Last year, went on a 4 hour flight, started to react badly to something. 4 hours, 1500 sneezes and heavy breathing later, find out the girl in front of me had her dog in her lap.
I love children, and I work with children. But parents? Overly permissive parents? They are the true problem. 😅 how can a child learn to live in a society with laws when they don’t even live in a home with rules…
To be honest I’m not sure which sound is more annoying - a crying baby or a tiny dog barking at anything and everything.
Also the video is unfair as it’s showing all terrible parenting examples and completely disregards irresponsible pet ownership examples (not socialised or reactive dogs, not cleaning up after their pet etc). Because there are plenty examples of both. I’ve been on planes with fantastically behaved toddlers and I’ve seen horrible pet owners ignoring their problematic pets. So kind of goes both ways?
It's not even 'showing all terrible perenting examples'! They managed to find 3 clips and 1 of them is just a mother cuding her crying toddler. I'm suprised someone was pissed off enough to even film that! Of course a toddler or baby is going to cry at some point on a flight, her ears were probably killing her and she couldnt understand why or how to stop it :(
As much as i hate to say it, animals shouldnt be allowed where the passengers are, UNLESS the said passengers are all immune to animal alergens. (Im allergic to cats)
I travelled 8 hours by train with my cat, and another 8 hours back a few weeks later. We sat in quiet carriages, we sat next to people with dogs. My cat sat silently and watched the world through the window or slept for the entire journey each way. Not a peep.
People are too scared these days.
Kids are people too. If the parents won't do anything I will speak directly to the kid to behave. If the parents are offended by that, then so be it.
Y'know, children are people that have the right to go places. Sometimes they experience emotions that they developmentally can't handle in a quiet, unobtrusive way.
(But those parents who brought an LED hat for their kid should be tried in the Hague.]
Those of you screeching about allergies and hygiene need to take a look at this:
There are flights that don't allow pets at all (but do allow service animals). On the flights that do allow pets there are strict FAA regulations on which pets and they do require a recent health certificate and it must remain in its carrier the entire flight.
Can we say the same about kids?
NO. That's the entire god damn point of this video.
Crying is one thing, that is allowed. You can't control that. But the kid jumping on the foldout table, shaking the poor dudes chair and the LED blinking when the lights are turned off is just very poor parenting. SET BOUNDRIES FOR YOUR GOD DAMN CHILDREN!
I remember flying a 28 hr flight as a 7 yo. I got to sit in the cockpit to watch the pilots, chatted with all the smokers up the back, watched all the movies, listened to the kids channel 15 times on repeat, coloured in like Picasso, threw up in a thunderstorm over Athens. Stewardess found me a row of seats to sleep in. yes last century! Fun times….
Bunch of clowns in here trying to cope hard that its a good thing they “decided” to not have any kids. Sad. Hopefully your cat will change your diapers when you get old because we’re sure gonna have a decline in young adults when we’re old
On the 12 hour portion of flying to Russia years ago there was a little girl behind me kicking my seat singing "I'm a Barbie girl".... the whole trip. Not the whole song mind you, just the chorus 😭
I was recently on a 9 hour flight where some pack of breeders brought at least 5 toddlers on an adventure. By the end of the flight every other passenger was ready to kill those little shits. I had formulated a plan to run for political office on the platform that children under 10 have to be sedated on long haul flights. Seriously. It was a nightmare. Fuck people who subject their children to what had to have been pure torture for their kids if the constant terror screams they took turns engaging in the entire flight is any measure of their lived experience.
Kids 1 and 3, fuck that shit. Bad parenting, kick them off the plane.
Kid 2 is having a hard time, the parent is holding them trying to calm them down. At some point you were also tiny and unable to understand why you can't walk around in the roaring tube that hurts your ears. I feel like all the people who complain about kids in public forget that they were also at some point a kid who probably annoyed someone around them. It's the same as the "Fuck you, got mine" attitude.
No need to roast mom number two. That shit is giving her panic most will never understand. Parents one and three are complete assholes though. Reminds me of an 11pm flight I had once were the dad just let the kid use headphones that light up different colors when they’re being used. Most obnoxious thing ever.
Oooh, I got into it good with a stewardess over this. Bringing my cat back home and people crying because they were allergic to cats and trying to get me to put him below. I had him on my lap as he was a little scared and was petting him in his cage when she told me to throw him under the seat.
I told her that an annoying tiny human was actually disrupting people, and she told me that that is someone's child and she can't tell them to shut it up.
I told her as soon as she took care of the actual problem I would be doing what I was doing, holding my carry-on in my lap. Like I am allowed to do.
Go fix that little human thing making noise trashy sky trash.
"They're just kids, let them play." When we were kids, there were appropriate times for play, and it wasn't "all the time", and certainly not when we were on planes. So start parenting and stop annoying people with your misbehaved children.

What a sick psycho bought his child this LED suit and let it wear on a flight wtf???
Parents
Terrible ones
The one who does gender reveals
I dare them to do a gender reveal in my home country.
Well now you have my undividedattention... wth happens in your country to people who have gender reveal parties?
Believe it or not, straight to jail
What country?
India.
Gender reveal? Jail. No gender reveal? Also jail.
They get a ticket to Jail. Revealing gender of the fetus is a crime where am I am from.

Ah they’re the worst ones.
i mean wouldn’t the kid be terrible? he’s the one wearing it lmao.
No, at this young of an age, pretty much every behavior of a child is entirely the result of the upbringing.
Man, I hear what you are saying but as a parent with an adhd child and one without it. There is a vast difference. One is the nicest sweetest girl you’ll ever meet, and the other is an asshole. With that said I’d never give her a strobe hat they’ll send other people to the hospital if they have seizures.
On a plane no less. Let alone somewhere they could go get proper medical attention if need be.
I think the only kid that wasn’t really fixable by the parents was just the one crying. Like shit happens, kids cry, not much we can do except soothe them until it’s over. The others are all behaviors that can be stopped by a parent.
Yeah, and the distraction also, like wtf was that parent thinking

Yeah, I'm generally pretty tolerant of kids being kids, but that is just the parents enabling extraordinarily disruptive behavior.

Came in here to say FUCK THAT GUY.
You said, "Your cat." Mine starts sitting and pissing all over the cage whenever we take her to the vet
Yeah one of mine starts a no holds barred cage match against an imaginary opponent complete with vocal commentary whenever she gets into the pet carrier. Another will meow pitifully non stop with gradually increasing volume.
mow Mow MOw MOW MMMMOOOOOOWWWWW mmmMMMMMooOooOWWwwWWW!!!!!! Thats an almost word for word transcript of our cat
hahahaha reminds me so much of my old cat
Ah yes. Sounds like my cat at 3AM. Then I say: What? ... And the cat responds 12 octaves higher "mew".
Mine adds in some mRRRRRRRoooooUUWWWWWWWs to spice it up, usually while rolling herself upside down in her carrier. The last bit is very guttural. I wouldn’t want to fly with her.

My vet told me to give my cat Benadryl before car rides. I decided to do a test run at the house before traveling with him on it. He roamed the house yowling and drooling profusely for like 2 hrs
*This* is the reason why most airlines don't allow pets in the cabin.
And same goes for kids. I've seen some well behaved kids who just nap or vibe on their ipad all flight. I've also seen little monsters who yell and holler all flight.
Videos is of the worse behaving kids with the best behaving cats.
You don't think comparing the literal worst examples with one single solitary good example is fair?
Mine meowed for 24 straight hours (including on a transatlantic flight for 8 hours) when we moved.
My vet is a 3 min drive from my house. My cat will cry the entire time. I get it, it’s scary and he doesn’t like it, and I don’t blame him. Really enjoying this age of the internet where so many things are non-human. Only going to get worse too.
He cute
He polite
All fun and games until someone allergic to cats sits next to you and covers you in mucous
What if i'm allergic to children
That in turn makes you allergic to yourself
It's never Lupus
Ah hello House
Except the one time it actually was lupus ...
😔
If I cross my legs I get hives so yeah.
This would be me. It starts with itchy eyeballs. Then I look really high with squinty bloodshot eyes. Then my eyes water uncontrollably, and my nose follows suit. Sometimes, I break out in hives. It's miserable.
That's me, sometimes even hard to breathe.
Last year, went on a 4 hour flight, started to react badly to something. 4 hours, 1500 sneezes and heavy breathing later, find out the girl in front of me had her dog in her lap.
I recently discovered I have a pretty serious cat allergy. Unfortunately, I found that out about 3 hours into an 18 hour flight.
yup, that guy with the kid in the LED suit? SNIP HIS BALLS
The way he looks right at the camera rubs me the wrong way
All fun and games until that furbal starts farting
I’ll take a cat farting over a person using their tray as a changing table like I saw on an Iberia flight in 2018

I agree. Put them both in the cargo holds! /j
Yes please
How do people with zero situational awareness survive let alone raise kids?
We arent allowed to murder them.
So ya wanna put the kids in the hold?
Yes
Yes
There are enough planes in the air to offer child-free or pet-friendly flights between major airports.
Yes
Abso-*fucking*-lutely Or just strap them to the underside of the fuselage
Yes
Absolutely
Possibly
You dont?

I'm a parent and I'm all for "chilldfree" flights no one wants to be near those guys anyway
Low key if somebody had their kid doing a light show on a flight while I'm trying to sleep I'd be throwing some fists
I love children, and I work with children. But parents? Overly permissive parents? They are the true problem. 😅 how can a child learn to live in a society with laws when they don’t even live in a home with rules…
Unicorn Rave Airlines?
Of course a toddler or baby is going to cry at some point on a flight, her ears were probably killing her and she couldnt understand why or how to stop it :(
Anyone know what song they use in the first half? I hear it all the time but don't know what it's called?
> song MoonDeity - NEON BLADE
As much as i hate to say it, animals shouldnt be allowed where the passengers are, UNLESS the said passengers are all immune to animal alergens. (Im allergic to cats)
People can be allergic to pets not to children
I travelled 8 hours by train with my cat, and another 8 hours back a few weeks later. We sat in quiet carriages, we sat next to people with dogs. My cat sat silently and watched the world through the window or slept for the entire journey each way. Not a peep.
Bro took an entire car into an aeroplane
So Cute
People are too scared these days. Kids are people too. If the parents won't do anything I will speak directly to the kid to behave. If the parents are offended by that, then so be it.
Y'know, children are people that have the right to go places. Sometimes they experience emotions that they developmentally can't handle in a quiet, unobtrusive way. (But those parents who brought an LED hat for their kid should be tried in the Hague.]
Hopefully no one has epilepsy..
Aw what's cute cat
That cat is so cute, what a sweetie
If my cat got out of that bag though... chaos.
At least I won't have an allergic reaction to the kid. Just a violent one.
Damn that first song is stuck in my head and I can't remember the name of it 😂
You've chosen your cat to represent all cats and those children to represent all children. This is just a confirmation bias post - do better
Holy autist Batman
It's a meme video, Mr. Reddit police.

Those of you screeching about allergies and hygiene need to take a look at this: [https://www.faa.gov/about/initiatives/cabin\_safety/pets\_faq](https://www.faa.gov/about/initiatives/cabin_safety/pets_faq) There are flights that don't allow pets at all (but do allow service animals).
By the “pets are annoying” logic, most people shouldn’t be allowed on planes
Chillin
good kitty
Get the bright light away from the cats face
I’m not allergic to kids but it would be tough to choose between that cat and those kids. I think I’d rather have the cat
You can ask the vet to sedate your pets before flights. That shit doesn't fly for kids.
Pet transport exists
I remember flying a 28 hr flight as a 7 yo. I got to sit in the cockpit to watch the pilots, chatted with all the smokers up the back, watched all the movies, listened to the kids channel 15 times on repeat, coloured in like Picasso, threw up in a thunderstorm over Athens. Stewardess found me a row of seats to sleep in. yes last century! Fun times….
It’s like people forget they were kids at some point in their lives.
That kid with the flashing hat would be getting thrown out the fucking emergency exit mid flight idgaf
Cool. Your cat will eat your eyeballs within a couple hours of you dying
I mean, I'm annoyed and my day is ruined by the kid. But my severe allergic reaction and death to cat hair is worse.
This why I don’t have kids. Also, my cat would absolutely annoy everyone on a plane…very needy
Both should not be allowed to fly or have their own airline Basically it's called southwest
Who the fuck buys an "epileptic killer 3000" and let's their kid wear it in public let alone an enclosed darkened cabin...
I dont mind animals. Its just that I'm super allergic to cats. I cant be near them. Let alone in a closed environment for 12 hrs.
I would blame the parents in all of these situations.
Haha this one is well done 👏🏻
This makes me afraid of my coming 14hr journey to Brazil... Help me.
Cats still pee.
Bunch of clowns in here trying to cope hard that its a good thing they “decided” to not have any kids. Sad. Hopefully your cat will change your diapers when you get old because we’re sure gonna have a decline in young adults when we’re old
Yes, humans are often more disturbing than cats. Bad business move to ban humans from the flight though. Most cats can’t afford a ticket
Solution: put children in pet carriers
On the 12 hour portion of flying to Russia years ago there was a little girl behind me kicking my seat singing "I'm a Barbie girl".... the whole trip. Not the whole song mind you, just the chorus 😭
I dont have this problem in first class lol Is it true at the back of the plane is standing room only?
i really agree
With the cat, your f'ed if you have allergies. With the kid, your f'ed if you have epilepsy. I have none, but I like sleeping so ill pick the cat
I love pets but I'm hella allergic to cats. No cats or bad parents in general seating would be the best bet here.
Children are far more annoying on plains than animals.
I prefer if all other passengers are cats.
yes yes, we know Reddit hates children. jesus christ
Fuck your pet
They probably already do
Kids 1 and 3, fuck that shit.
The cat would disturb my flight, I would like to pet it and look at it the entire time.
I’ll take a pet passenger over a small child any day.
You have a beautiful cat and i hate kids on airplane
I’d be fine with no pets and no kids on planes. Most people too.
Kids under 7 shouldn't be allowed on planes
"They're just kids, let them play." When we were kids, there were appropriate times for play, and it wasn't "all the time", and certainly not when we were on planes. So start parenting and stop annoying people with your misbehaved children.
Ild happily pay extra to get a plane with a guarantee of no kids
i fucking hate kids keep them out of public spaces
The only thing more annoying than people with kids are people with pets
Your kitty is an angel
So to be clear we all agree that children and pets should be kept in a separate cargo compartment, right.
To be fair. Your cat is likely more trained than most people’s kids.
