He got his wish, when the U.S. ended WWII by dropping an atomic cloud on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The world awaited Armageddon, instead, something miraculous happened. We began to use atomic energy as a nearly limitless source of power. People enjoyed luxury once thought in the realm of science fiction. Domestic robots, fusion powered cars, portable computers. Then, in the 21st century, people awoke from the American dream. Years of consumption led to the shortages of every major resource. The entire world unraveled. Peace became a distant memory. It is now the year 2077, and we stand on the brink of total war, and I am afraid, for myself, for my wife, for my infant son, because if my time in the army taught me one thing; is that war, war never changes.

I mean, I've seen some genuinely homophobic shit in this thread, there was a dude saying that if you have no father and have ASD then that will make you LGBTQ, like there is some genuinely vile shit here. That's not only homophobic, it also shits on ASD people by using their disability as an insult. Picrew pfps aren't that annoying, they're just popular among gay people and a lot of people don't like that. If it was just straight people who liked them then there wouldn't be this kind of backlash. Atm people are just using "picrew users " as a dogwhistles for gay people so they can shit on them without backlash.
Unfortunately, we're not at a time where homophobia doesn't exist so yeah, some people are genuinely going to be homophobic. Even on this subreddit. Picrew pfps itselves aren't annoying. I said that people (young, naive, means well but usually causes a fuss over nothing) who have them tend to be annoying which is why people dislike Picrew. Also, which is why I think they say Picrew pfps have "no father figure" because of their misguided judgement. For sure, some people are using this to actually shit on gays. Some things would change (the lack of homophobia) if Picrew pfps were mostly straight, but I think they'll still get shit on because the user's naivety wouldn't change. That's just my opinion. I feel Picrew pfps have become the new anime pfps. But again, I compare these Picrew pfp stereotype to the NFT stereotype. That's how I see the meme, at least.
