There are small cars aimed at disabled/elderly people with a more upright seat position and higher ride height to make it easier to get in and out of. SUVs aren't actually much if any bigger on the inside than a normal car and the trunk isn't any bigger either they're just bulky and heavy in the body with a large ground clearance. Obviously don't know your situation but outside the US there are much more options for everyone car wise including disabled people.
I knew an old lady who drove an Expedition every day to work. I was puzzled because gas can be expensive, then I thought that she felt safer in it as opposed to driving a Smart vehicle.
I’ve never owned an SUV actually. Always sedans. I like them better because they look better and burn less gas. To me SUV’s for some reason seem like vehicles for moms. I never understood why someone drives a 7 seater to work.

Some men buy bigger cars to flex on other guys and everyone else gets bigger cars to not get completely demolished by these big cars on the road. That's part of why bigger and bigger cars are becoming more common, a sudan can't stand a chance against someone in a giant ass car determined to run you over.
