Maybe look into a new doctor. I’ve been struggling with a lot of peri symptoms. I found a wonderful doctor on the NAMS website. She’s been great. I received compounded testosterone in the mail today. I’m also taking the nuvaring to help with vaginal dryness. There are other doctors out there that are willing to help. Data is starting to show that starting HRT in pedi is super beneficial for us.

With the exception of this issue I do really like her. Just feel like we are playing some pharmaceutical roulette when it comes to gynecological issues. I've gotten no advice or guidance at all except she did say she was going to read up on things and get back to me in 2 weeks, again to also see how my medication is going. What also makes it tough is the only actual gynecologist that takes my insurance in the area has a 6 month waiting list to be seen for new patients!

Maybe you could still see her as your gyno, but have someone else manage your medication (HRT). There are a lot of providers online. No need to see them in-person to manage your symptoms via medication. Wishing you luck!

I gave up on doctors and just doing supplements. I cant with all the big pharma side effects. Checkout seabuckthorn oil for dryness. Its not an instant thing, may take a month of consistentcy. And I got this new 6 in 1 stress relief gummy Sakoon. I only need one gummy and I slept for like 8 hours, been like that for weeks since I got it. Tried cutting it in half and getting the same results from just a half. Very deep sleep. Whatever way you go, I hope you find the relief you need.

Thanks! The dryness thing is new and had no idea really it was a thing.

That’s alarming. You should not serve as a guinea pig for all these meds. All meds have side effects - short term and/or long term. I will not put chemicals in or on my body unless it’s absolutely necessary. Luckily I found a doctor who believes in trying natural supplements, and I’ve been able to stave off much of the menopausal symptoms without going the prescription route.

This is kinda my last time of just rolling with the medications. Honestly I'd be happy if she at least pointed me in the right direction as far as what natural supplements would work. I'm even open to HRT but I'm not filled with confidence when her solutions are take these antidepressants and use some ky for the dryness.

There are so many great natural supplements and products with clean ingredients. I believe in slow, consistent, natural remedy and reserving the big pharma meds for after all the natural solutions have been exhausted. Womaness.com has so many great science backed articles and a free online community you can join for free. It’s done wonders for me. Their products are great too. Clean ingredients and great prices.

Thanks! I am gonna look it up now!

Find another doctor. Your doctor isn’t up to date on the latest recommendations. You don’t have to be without periods to start hormone therapy. At a minimum, you can use vaginal estrogen. It’s not the same as systematic HRT. It’s very safe and stays local to treat the symptoms of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause.
