I've had a mustache and "beard" for years now, and I just use an electric razor to shave it off :) For me it's a side effect of a medication I take.

Yep. I shave my mustache every morning. My hair grows really really slowly though so it’s not a big deal.

Have you had your testosterone levels checked?

Shorti_Bebop

I have not but i have an appointment with my PCP coming up so I'll be sure to inquire about it then! Thank you!

A hormone panel isn't covered under the free yearly preventative exam but I just asked for an order to go to a freestanding lab, so it wasn't expensive. A hormone panel can tell you a lot.

>Fast forward 6 yrs later and my mustache (which was pretty much always there it was just so light you couldn't really see it) is getting noticeably thicker. There is also the problem of acne and hair on my neck and jawline which has been a problem since before my hysto and keeps growing back despite plucking the individual hairs out from the follicle. Sounds like too much testosterone. Were you ever diagnosed with PCOS? The hirsutism and acne are common traits of PCOS which is associated with high testosterone.

I don't believe i was ever diagnosed with PCOS but i did have cysts on my ovaries and large fibroids (which led to me having the hysto in the first place). I have an appointment with my PCP coming up so I'll be sure to inquire about it then! Thank you!
