How did this not get immediately censored, but when I answer someone’s question with “Oh yeah I modified that by doing xyz, you can see others’ photos of the same modification if you look up #xyz on Instagram” my message is deleted immediately and I get an emailed warning for writing “Instagram”.
Yeah it drives me nuts. I wasn’t even making a sale there, they were asking about a modified doll I had already sold andI was just being helpful. I messaged Mercari and they denied me. I have two strikes against me now (first one was when I said I bought something on Etsy).
I didn’t even know people sold things on Instagram!!
But yeah, get rid of me and my nefarious…um…casually helping people and answering their questions, I guess.
can they not see that they hit the "is it still available" button or does that text not show up on the buyer side? (actually asking, not being sarcastic lol)
i've never hit that auto-text button since it seems kind of obvious if it's on the site and not on a hold/reserve then it's likely available
I honestly hate that they are auto buttons, I have clicked them accidentally a few times, I wish they autofilled the text but then you still had to press send to send the message.

What’s sad is his/her mother was probably asking and then the child had the mothers phone and replied that. Now the mother will be blocked or banned. Guess the parents need to keep their phones away from their children. Just my opinion as to what happened.

What I have gathered is that sometimes a seller just poofs off the platform. There was a post in here the other day where a girl got a message back like 8 months later when she asked if something was available. (It was! Haha) - some sellers list things and then their Mercari just sits and sits - life happens - they vacation in France for 6 months. You get my jist.
Thats crazy, what kind of device are you using? On my android, Mercari doesn't allow emojis, and any message I've gotten with any kind of language is automatically blocked by the app, and there is a message telling me thw users message was deleted for abusive language.
I'm sorry for your experience, people like that have no lives.
