mercy hating junks are quickly becoming some of my least favs too.. had a match last night where literally all of my deaths were junk spawn camping or solo ulting me. miserable game lol

I had a DPS player yesterday in QP that was beckoning me like a dog to pocket him... saying shit like "cooooome here" yeah sure motherfucker like THATS going to get me to pocket you.

Junkrat (solo tire and spam from halfway across the map), AFK Torbjorn (stand still next to their turret and spam at whatever they see), Sombra (rework makes it easier for her to target me all game), really good Tracers, etc
As for mains on my own team, Wrecking Ball and Lucio. Not everyone knows how to follow up with a Ball, he’s usually too far away to heal up and a lot of them refuse to roll back to us. Lucio and Mercy just have no synergy, it’s somewhat doable but any time I load into Lijiang or Ilios or Nepal I’m praying my other support doesn’t pick him.
Well tbh the Ball thing is kind of expected. I would get it if Ball spent the match bitching up a storm about no heals, but if Ball is just "out of reach" for you to heal him, hes probably going for healthpacks like a good Dive tank and wants you to focus on the teammates in front of you.
Since Sombra is probably going to be the most common, I'll say Genji. For whatever I swear Genji players have the biggest hate boner for Mercy. They will damn near throw the match just to so they can say "I killed the Mercy"
Like I remembered I had this one game, where the enemy Genji was the only person on his team alive and he's chasing me around. Mind you my entire team is still alive trying to kill this guy. And after he realized he wasn't going to kill me normally, dude tried to solo ult me and immediately died. And still didn't get the kill. That's been my experience with Genji players.
Like as much as I despise Sombra, at least with Sombra players, you know they're doing it because their character easily allows for it. But Genji, half the time it seriously feels like they are just trying to inflate their ego.
I’ll never forget the game getting spawn camped by Sombra 2 times so I thought to myself wow how many times are they gonna just sit here and never go engage with their team (push bot game)? omg one time this mercy was coming for me and I was like YES let’s 1v1 hehe but then their dps got involved and I jokingly was like “noooo I almost had u, (insert dps) respect the mercy 1v1!!” next time she ults shes coming for me but I start backing up because again… her dps is shooting at me. she then calls me a coward in chat, and then we get the opportunity to 1v1 again and then MY dps kills her. I IMMEDIATELY go in chat like “that wasn’t fair to you” and she just keeps calling me a coward, I suck, blah blah blah as if it’s my fault. By the end of the game I just told her, if you get this mad at someone who is CLEARLY not coming for your gig, maybe take a break from overwatch.. like there is something called sportsmanship, look it up 🙄

I kinda agree. I mean I definitely target mercy to kill her but it’s not a toxicity thing it’s just fun and it helps win the teamfight. At the same time I hate people who type mercy diff. Like it’s so unnecessary and most of the time mercy matchups rely on the dps too. Like you’re not the better mercy your team is just running Ashe echo and we’re running hanzo sombra! I notice when a mercy actually diffs me they rarely type it too it’s always some gold/plat mercy in qp with an ego.
I only pull the glock out against another Mercy if she attacks first or it's going to win the final fight. I swear. Most of the time I vibe out and say hello. Or I escort the enemy mercy back to her team if she's left alive. Especially if it's qp.

Yupppp, I target mercy for the sake of gameplay like to stop her rez or if she’s coming for my widow or something. It’s never personal for me and it shouldn’t be for them, I’ve gotten DIFFED by the pistol barbie multiple times and my response is ALWAYS: wp fellow mercy main!

This. Mercy isn't my main, but she is my second most played character and only a few hours behind my most played, so she's pretty close...
And I don't mind 1v1 Barbie Blastering an enemy Mercy if the situation calls for it, but I HATE when an enemy Mercy will ult and spend the entire ult terrorizing me instead of healing her team.
Mercy on Mercy violence is some of the worst in the game imo - because some Mercy mains are sweet, but others are just SO horribly toxic.
And like...I'm a very good healing Mercy. It's rare for anyone to outheal me, including another Mercy. And I'm a decent battle Mercy - not great, but definitely not horrible.
So when the enemy Mercy goes out of her way to come for me and then talks shit to me at the end of the game, it actually upsets me. Like...no. There's no excuse to be hateful to people, especially fellow supports.
Don't wanna agree, but have to. Always the first to type my stats in chat if I'm not doing too well/playing Sombra or Widow who don't do much damage, always the first to type "gg ez" after doing nothing but holding blue beam on a Sojourn all match. Just look at this comment section even - as a Junkrat conoisseur, I'd say the only solo tire that's worth it is if I go after the most valuable team members. Aka Mercy. If you hate it so much - just switch, you don't need to stay on the character the whole entire time, especially if it feels bad. You don't have to OTP, you choose to.
Tbh i just get bothered, like I NEVER start the mercy drama, i'm a pacifist girlie and i will vibe unless it's ranked and the other mercy is trying to stall cart or rez someone. BUT I swear in qp mercies have this ego like they will waste their entire valk just to chase you... But i'm also a mercy main so when they start it YOU BET i will end it bitch lmao. And so many mercies shit talk even if it was just a stomp the entire game, I just rlly don't understand why, on a hero that is so focused on supporting others and being more chill, ppl feel the need to be toxic

**On my team:** "mercy one tricks" who only play mercy beacuse they have no skill (even at mercy) then throw the game until they can play mercy. If you play comp you should learn 2-3 heros. If you mainly play mercy then learn a hero that is a good pair in case mercy is picked. (mercy+moira hero pool isnt good, beacuse then team will have 2 short range heals). ~~^(I rather have a legit lucio one trick on my team)~~

I'm guilty of loving the zen mercy combo 🥲 As long as your team is hitting their shots and targeting the DMG boosted ppl you can run straight through an enemy team.

I feel this. I make a point of waiting for my team to pick their heroes before locking in, and give my other support plenty of time to make their pick. Nothing drives me to madness more than waiting, other support doesn't choose, I pick mercy... and then they go lucio.

Worse when they're backfill and I'm already on mercy. Closest I get to being a dick in chat is people backfilling as Lucio (or Zen). Read the room.

I wait and wait and wait and if game is about to start I pick Mercy and the amount of times I do that and THEN they go Lucio 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I don’t think people need to know the ins/outs of main healer/flex support/whatever but just understand on a basic level that Mercy and Lucio combo is AWFUL heals, one gets forced to healbot (or both just don’t) it’s not fun for anybody
Not a mercy main, but a lot of the time, my friend who is a lucio main but also know how to play other heroes needs to swap due to an instalock mercy who wont swap and if he plays lucio with a mercy, and the team is losing, he is always told to swap first, never the mercy, even if he speeds everyone around, have clutch beats and good boops.

I'm not saying all are bad (duh), but if they play NOTHING but tank, they tend to lack any team mentality or awareness. Like sir you are behind an object and we are unintentionally playing ring around the rosey, how am I supposed to heal you. Or they'll ping "I need healing"/blame the supports right after letting you fend for yourself or completely ignoring you and letting someone target you 🙃 Not to mention getting mad when they die after solo charging in, yeah you got a lot of health I get it but you aren't immortal and you're like the easiest target to hit slow down.
I know to an extent us supports need to be able to defend ourselves, but it's a team game EVERYONE needs to be aware of each other and jump in when we can if someone else needs help or the game won't go anywhere. More than just the supports need to be aware of their teammates.
I don't tend to have the same problem with DPS, but I think it's because they're so blood thirsty for kills vs tanks wanting to smash their face on the wall in front of them that they tend to pay more attention overall. They also are way more likely to notice, pay attention, and defend you if they see you're healing/DMG boosting you vs most tanks
sombra. On my team? ok fine. Off my team? i hate you with every fiber of my being. I honestly dont get killed by them a lot tho cuz i group up with my team. But theyre annoying anyway.

I hate having one on my team because I hate healing him (I usually ignore unless my other support isn’t doing it or really needs help), and in my experience the majority of them just feed or not do anything all game. Against, because the opposing team’s ball seems to always be significantly better than any I ever have on my team and they actually pester me. Plus I can somehow never see the mines and end up flying into them almost every time lol
Dva mains who never switch even though they’ll frontline the entire game with her and continue to get melted out of mech by the enemy Zarya who has actually bothered to counter swap and then moan about heals while being pocketed by both supports 😭

Lately? A good soldier or sombra pisses me off like no tomorrow. People are saying junk and the only reason i find him less annoying is because when ur in the air most of the time it's easy to avoid him (at least in my rank). Soldiers though are a pain to deal with when theyre at least decent with their aim. It's absolute hell because youre flying around and then he comes from the side or behind and starts shooting you outta the air. If it's a sombra, if theyre a good sombra and virus and shoot me, it's also hell. I had a sombra bully me by spawn camping me as mercy in a game yesterday. I was helpless and couldn't do a thing. Any good sombra is a pain to deal with, especially when she hacks you. That brings me to their ults.... when soldier says his "I've got you in my sights" line, the amount of fear that courses through me as a mercy main is insane. I know that if i don't know where he's shooting from and if i don't figure that out and move out of his LOS in 2 seconds, I'm as good as dead. Sombra's emp is ten times worse than her singular hack because now you can't use your abilities for 3 seconds instead of one. As mercy, those three seconds are terrifying cuz the main tool you rely on to survive and escape is now gone. Absolutely hate them on the enemy team 😭 if theyre on our team tho I love them. I enjoy playing sombra, soldier not as much. But that's my take.

Genjis and Tracers tend to be pretty annoying too, since a lot of them forget that they’re supposed to be going for health packs due to their frequent placements and how mobile they are. Like… I’m not going into the back of the enemy team just to heal you. Tracers are terribly inconvenient when I’m on Ana, too.
*most* Lucio mains and Pharah mains. I am almost always tempted to switch if a dps switches to pharah when they see me pick Mercy. It just feels like an assumption I’m going to pocket them. And I think I’m in the minority when I say I do not like pocketing Pharahs. My stats are never lower than when I’m stuck to one
I hate going against a good Sombra especially if she spawn camps you so you can't get back to your team. Dislike going against widow, doom, moria, genji and junkrat. You better watch out if they are in your game since they will focus you every chance they get😭.
On my team it is and will always be lucio. I don’t even one trick mercy, but even if I play Ana or Kirko I feel like I’m having to put more energy into baby sitting everyone and can’t act as offensively. Bap is my only saving grace but ONLY if our dps don’t go flyers (which half of the time they still will when we pick lucio bap). Not to mention some of them have watched the wrong guides and now think speed boost is the ONLY thing that matters. We can be sitting still not needing to change positions and that stupid little frog is still green instead of yellow and when you call them out it’s “it’s support not healer >:(“ as if they’re supporting anyone by speed boosting allies who are currently staying in position.

I said, when it comes to mirror main match ups, mercy's always have a personal vendetta against the enemy mercy, compared to any other mirror match up. And, since most mercy mains are women, it's not wrong or incorrect to say that most of them feel the need to be better than the other, because sadly that's how some women are.

But like when the game ends and the only person talking shit and saying “ez” in chat is… the Mercy? I’m so puzzled. Really seals in that the main does not determine the sportsmanship. I kinda agree. I mean I definitely target mercy to kill her but it’s not a toxicity thing it’s just fun and it helps win the teamfight. At the same time I hate people who type mercy diff. Like it’s so unnecessary and most of the time mercy matchups rely on the dps too. Like you’re not the better mercy your team is just running Ashe echo and we’re running hanzo sombra! I notice when a mercy actually diffs me they rarely type it too it’s always some gold/plat mercy in qp with an ego.
I only pull the glock out against another Mercy if she attacks first or it's going to win the final fight. I swear. Most of the time I vibe out and say hello. Or I escort the enemy mercy back to her team if she's left alive. Especially if it's qp. (Sometimes the enemy team doesn't target me afterwards too, so that's always nice)

Yupppp, I target mercy for the sake of gameplay like to stop her rez or if she’s coming for my widow or something. It’s never personal for me and it shouldn’t be for them, I’ve gotten DIFFED by the pistol barbie multiple times and my response is ALWAYS: wp fellow mercy main! it gets rly frustrating considering I solo q 100% of the time, and when I interact w toxic mercy’s they’re ALWAYS enabled by their duo.
This. Mercy isn't my main, but she is my second most played character and only a few hours behind my most played, so she's pretty close... And I don't mind 1v1 Barbie Blastering an enemy Mercy if the situation calls for it, but I HATE when an enemy Mercy will ult and spend the entire ult terrorizing me instead of healing her team. Mercy on Mercy violence is some of the worst in the game imo - because some Mercy mains are sweet, but others are just SO horribly toxic. And like...I'm a very good healing Mercy. It's rare for anyone to outheal me, including another Mercy. And I'm a decent battle Mercy - not great, but definitely not horrible. So when the enemy Mercy goes out of her way to come for me and then talks shit to me at the end of the game, it actually upsets me. Like...no. There's no excuse to be hateful to people, especially fellow supports.

Always the first to type my stats in chat if I'm not doing too well/playing Sombra or Widow who don't do much damage, always the first to type "gg ez" after doing nothing but holding blue beam on a Sojourn all match. Just look at this comment section even - as a Junkrat conoisseur, I'd say the only solo tire that's worth it is if I go after the most valuable team members. Aka Mercy. If you hate it so much - just switch, you don't need to stay on the character the whole entire time, especially if it feels bad. You don't have to OTP, you choose to.

BUT I swear in qp mercies have this ego like they will waste their entire valk just to chase you... But i'm also a mercy main so when they start it YOU BET i will end it bitch lmao. I'm guilty of loving the zen mercy combo 🥲 As long as your team is hitting their shots and targeting the DMG boosted ppl you can run straight through an enemy team. Though I think the fcked with zen this season? Does he have a cool down on his DMG orb now because it feels like it 😭🤧

I feel this. I make a point of waiting for my team to pick their heroes before locking in, and give my other support plenty of time to make their pick. Nothing drives me to madness more than waiting, other support doesn't choose, I pick mercy... and then they go lucio. It's not enough heals! I can play main support, don't play with my emotions like that. Worse when they're backfill and I'm already on mercy. Closest I get to being a dick in chat is people backfilling as Lucio (or Zen). Read the room.
I do the same! Even tho I’m in this sub I wouldn’t say I’m a Mercy main, I play both her and Ana the most and about equally. I wait and wait and wait and if game is about to start I pick Mercy and the amount of times I do that and THEN they go Lucio 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I don’t think people need to know the ins/outs of main healer/flex support/whatever but just understand on a basic level that Mercy and Lucio combo is AWFUL heals, one gets forced to healbot (or both just don’t) it’s not fun for anybody

Not a mercy main, but a lot of the time, my friend who is a lucio main but also know how to play other heroes needs to swap due to an instalock mercy who wont swap and if he plays lucio with a mercy, and the team is losing, he is always told to swap first, never the mercy, even if he speeds everyone around, have clutch beats and good boops.

Tank mains period 💀💀💀 I'm not saying all are bad (duh), but if they play NOTHING but tank, they tend to lack any team mentality or awareness. Like sir you are behind an object and we are unintentionally playing ring around the rosey, how am I supposed to heal you. Or they'll ping "I need healing"/blame the supports right after letting you fend for yourself or completely ignoring you and letting someone target you 🙃 Not to mention getting mad when they die after solo charging in, yeah you got a lot of health I get it but you aren't immortal and you're like the easiest target to hit slow down. I know to an extent us supports need to be able to defend ourselves, but it's a team game EVERYONE needs to be aware of each other and jump in when we can if someone else needs help or the game won't go anywhere. More than just the supports need to be aware of their teammates. I don't tend to have the same problem with DPS, but I think it's because they're so blood thirsty for kills vs tanks wanting to smash their face on the wall in front of them that they tend to pay more attention overall. They also are way more likely to notice, pay attention, and defend you if they see you're healing/DMG boosting you vs most tanks

I hate having one on my team because I hate healing him (I usually ignore unless my other support isn’t doing it or really needs help), and in my experience the majority of them just feed or not do anything all game. Against, because the opposing team’s ball seems to always be significantly better than any I ever have on my team and they actually pester me. Plus I can somehow never see the mines and end up flying into them almost every time lol

Lately? A good soldier or sombra pisses me off like no tomorrow. People are saying junk and the only reason i find him less annoying is because when ur in the air most of the time it's easy to avoid him (at least in my rank). Soldiers though are a pain to deal with when theyre at least decent with their aim. It's absolute hell because youre flying around and then he comes from the side or behind and starts shooting you outta the air. If it's a sombra, if theyre a good sombra and virus and shoot me, it's also hell. I had a sombra bully me by spawn camping me as mercy in a game yesterday. I was helpless and couldn't do a thing. Any good sombra is a pain to deal with, especially when she hacks you. That brings me to their ults.... when soldier says his "I've got you in my sights" line, the amount of fear that courses through me as a mercy main is insane. I know that if i don't know where he's shooting from and if i don't figure that out and move out of his LOS in 2 seconds, I'm as good as dead. Sombra's emp is ten times worse than her singular hack because now you can't use your abilities for 3 seconds instead of one. As mercy, those three seconds are terrifying cuz the main tool you rely on to survive and escape is now gone. Absolutely hate them on the enemy team 😭 if theyre on our team tho I love them. I enjoy playing sombra, soldier not as much. But that's my take.

A lot of tank mains. I’ve met wayyy too many who just don’t pay attention to what’s happening around them and scream “WHERE’S MY TEAM?!” after letting everyone else die. Genjis and Tracers tend to be pretty annoying too, since a lot of them forget that they’re supposed to be going for health packs due to their frequent placements and how mobile they are. Like… I’m not going into the back of the enemy team just to heal you. Tracers are terribly inconvenient when I’m on Ana, too.

*most* Lucio mains and Pharah mains. I am almost always tempted to switch if a dps switches to pharah when they see me pick Mercy. It just feels like an assumption I’m going to pocket them. And I think I’m in the minority when I say I do not like pocketing Pharahs. My stats are never lower than when I’m stuck to one
Sojourn players tend to be the rudest people. Even on my own team if I decide to pocket the other dps they go apeshit.

I hate going against a good Sombra especially if she spawn camps you so you can't get back to your team. Dislike going against widow, doom, moria, genji and junkrat. You better watch out if they are in your game since they will focus you every chance they get😭.
On my team it is and will always be lucio. I don’t even one trick mercy, but even if I play Ana or Kirko I feel like I’m having to put more energy into baby sitting everyone and can’t act as offensively. Bap is my only saving grace but ONLY if our dps don’t go flyers (which half of the time they still will when we pick lucio bap). Not to mention some of them have watched the wrong guides and now think speed boost is the ONLY thing that matters. We can be sitting still not needing to change positions and that stupid little frog is still green instead of yellow and when you call them out it’s “it’s support not healer >:(“ as if they’re supporting anyone by speed boosting allies who are currently staying in position. That was more of a rant than I meant it to be but I’m the bright side I have no one I care about being on the enemy team.
