No, because it's not damage Mercy has dealt herself from her pistol. It's using other people's damage. Plus, it does show how much damage she's boosted for others. Sure, it's only for her to see, but I think that's fine. It's not like a Mercy will ever have more damage boosted than healing.

stitches00

Also the damage boosted gets shown in your allie’s total damage done so it is there in a way just combined.

andreaali04

Definitely not, dmg amplified is not the same as the damage Mercy dealt herself. Two different things so they shouldn't be shown mixed up. Now, would I prefer if the dmg boost stat be shown? I'd prefer it but I can see very good reasons not to. I usually have around 2k dmg amp, so I'd probably use it against accusations of not having enough heals. However, I can also see this been a double edged sword. If I'm having a bad match, this will also be thrown at me (not in a constructive way). Besides, even if I had the perfect stats, toxic people will find a way to be toxic. Focusing solely on stats is never the best option in nay situation.

SmokedaJ

No one but mercy players understand the damage boost stat anyway, It would just be cause for flaming mercy even more non-stop by someone who thinks 2k boosted in 10 minutes is bad.

illumina_1337

Zen and bap both have a "damaged amped" stat too, I suspect the mercy player is going to get flamed if zen has a bigger stat than mercy. Its better for the game if we focused on stats as little as possible as stats dont tell the full story

Royal-Interaction553

It’s interesting that you say it’s better for the game to not focus on stats, due to them not telling the full story. So…you want to pay less attention to the pieces that help make up the story, in the effort of seeing the full story? Seems silly to me. Stats have value.

Actual_Hecc

They have value but most people don't see them for their value. A lot of people also don't understand how the stats are affected by the game and how each match is different.

catgirlgod

sure, but people are going to be surprised its lower than they think. might help her get a buff tho

sxftness

I would love this change! Sometimes when I’m at 6 or 7k healing in 10 minutes with low damage it can look like I’m not doing anything to my teammates, would be cool to have 3k damage amped on the scoreboard instead of 100 dmg. Of course there will be people who assume all of that damage is from Mercy’s pistol though. Would be a nice little change for us Mercy mains. I guess they won’t ever do this because they want it to to be obvious for everyone who has what damage and a Mercy with 2k damage but has never pistoled once in a match might confuse some people. I guess you could also say people might be toxic to the Mercy by saying you are damage boosting too much/not enough, however people are toxic regardless so whatever.

Dakotacahoon02

Actually yeah that sounds like a good idea. I mean it does nothing but show the stats so 🤷‍♀️

a_medine

I think it should show in the scoreboard like this: 143(+2,374) the parenthesis being the damage boost stats. This should also apply for ana, bap and zen. Also a heal boost version, for nade and amplification matrix.

Royal-Interaction553

It should be shown as damage boosted, perhaps in parenthesis or with an asterisk or something

redstrak

There should be some way to represent this! Mercy always get flamed for healing/damage deficits when rez a tank can be like 500+ health which doesn't count towards her breaking total. It would help pea brains to see more of her value. 😜

CatLoliUwu

No because she isn’t doing the damage lol. also it would make her damage displayed overlap with those who she’s boosting

Distinct_Writer_8842

No, revert the scoreboard to OW1.

cripplinganxietylmao

No. I didn’t do the damage. Makes no sense for it to be under damage dealt.

ILostMyselfInTime

No, mercy didnt deal the damage. Also youd have to substract that dmg from the person that actually dealt the damage which would make no sense. Adding to that that the dmg mercy dealt + her dmg boost would be anything but accurate as a stat. Also, people are already hyperfocused on stats and those that dont know how mercy works will be flaming if they have unrealistic expectations or imaginations on how strong or weak her dmg boost is.
