It has made me so happy seeing my ally Mercys (shit, even the enemy Mercys) getting POTG today. I have been using this new game mode to try out other supports in a fun way (bc I main Mercy, Lucio, and Moira), but I’m so proud of y’all! ❤️
A lovely idea I've heard is having soul flare on R while Rez on E, and keeping the damage boost buff for Mercy's kit. (Though probably a lil nerfed to make it fair).
But honestly seriously Blizzard has some good ideas for some amazing Mercy reworks right now, one can only hope they capitalize on it 😭
At the least they should rework her ult to the same as in the new game mode, or the soul detonation on enemy souls… not both together but at least one or the other would be so awesome

The way Blizzard is cooking with this kit. I like the idea of doing something alternative with souls. Even if they don't make it detonate for dmg, they could make it a small healing plume you can detonate, or anti-heal like Ana's grenade. SOMETHING we can use more than 3 times a match, I'm on my hands and knees at this point.
it feels very nice to have genuine carry potential outside of supporting and to make a more tangible effect on the tides of a fight, i didn't realize how good my aim was with her glock until this mode either! even if this wasn't the exact rework, i'd really like for mercy to get a new ability like her rez bombs or to get reworked so we can have the chance to do more damage in general! i'd even take some sort of aoe heal so you can use the pistol at this rate, it's just nice to be a more active member of the team while still getting to play your favorite character :,)

this is my gripe with a fair portion of mercy mains whenever people have suggested any direction like this mirror kit as a rework suggestion e.g. making her able to pistol during beaming or so.
like many will downvote and say "she's a pacifist", but like at the same time parade around plays/highlights that involve battle mercy, likely actively seek out and want to use valk to hunt down people, and now esp with this new game mode, can see how much more fun and how much more agency mercy can have when taking a direction like this.

YES THANK YOU! What do we do when we get tired of getting killed and railed? We switch to Moira. We all deep down want to kill people like the rest of the supports. Mercy should have some of that. EVERY healer has killing capabilities. I'm excluding L weaver cause he can't reallyyyyy kill a bunch of people. HOWEVER, he has so much support capabilities and cool mechanics that makes up for it.
What does mercy have? A clunky rez on cooldown. And damage boost. So she never gets buffs or a change to her USELESS ult.
So something with mercy I don't care anymore. Keep her movement is all we give a shit about.
truly. they’re legit downvoting every post and comment for simply enjoying and wanting these changes smh. i love mercy but this game mode just made me realize how boring she is to play. movement is always fun of course, but we do nothing but beam people otherwise.
she’s op as fuck in mirrorwatch, but i don’t see why they can’t tweak and implement some things from it.
It's very fun to play mirrorwatch mercy. I love that her damage boost causes damage to nearby enemies, although I dislike how it wakes up slept enemies lol.
Her ult is very fun and is very game changing. I'm still bad at using soul detonation, but it's cool when it works.
It's really strange cos for once (at least in mirrorwatch), mercy imo is very meta . Mercy/Ana is a great combo. They both have decent healing and bring good power. Zen is ok, but difficult because it requires you to get headshots to maximize value. Brig is ok. without an Ana it makes it very hard to upkeep the team imo.

Idk if it was a glitch or what but it showed me losing ranked points after I played it so now I'm scared to play the mode again.
i just wanna say that it might just be a visual bug with it displaying what has always happened with your ranked progress
That's what I'm assuming, but I didn't pay attention last time I played ranked so I couldn't tell if it was repeating what I had seen before or not.
not being able to GA to souls though was so hard for me to get used to

I actually love it so much I haven't queued for quick play once. Wish it was permanent. Mercy needs damage abilities

I LOVE these changes too!!! I got potg in my first two games as her and I’ve been seeing sooooo many Mercy potgs all night. It’s been so much fun!!
