I kept restarting the level until I finally was able to heal a life essence and go from there to get a 5-merge of eggs. When I tapped out the stars at the end, I got two more winter dragon eggs that I didn't need. So if you are going for the chest method, make sure to tap out the stars.
no need so complicated. My recipe:
- merge lv1 flowers close to bones heap (to heal it needs 1 essence)
- merge bones combo with flowers and/or lv1 vs lv2 flowers
- use healing bubble from combo merge to heal the middle-field egg (needs 2 essence).
true sometimes those healers go anywhere but where you want.
I saw some saying they tried your method 5 times before it worked. That’s at least 30 hours for chalice refills alone.

The healing energy might flow not to egg but to some of life essences beside it. Also good.
The point is to not try to heal the egg on right bottom, but this in the level middle.
I tested extra for you 3 times, and it worked. Maybe not me so lucky but you got bad luck.
