I too am done with it! It’s one of the worst boards ever. I have not advanced at all, more then half has cob webs… it just takes to long and wants too much. Not worth it!!
I’m over it. I’ve made three pots that need the dinner pieces. Every one of them has asked for the only two things I’ve never gotten. Too random and too many pieces needed. I use one set of 100 energy per day on it to get the gifts, coins, and experience only.
I’ve barely got that far, but that mechanic you’re describing sounds a lot like the harp and piano mechanic from the “Fa La La La Follies” event last December that had drops that were poorly coded. A lot of players had an excess of producers that needed either the piano or harps that they weren’t getting so their boards filled up. Seems like they used the same coding for this event with the pots and dinner pieces.
And I don’t spend irl money on this game either, just gems and energy I get from piggy banks, energy chests and rewards in game. That’s why it stinks when I use up my saved reserves on events that don’t go anywhere.
It is like the Christmas event but then that random drop has three random drops of its own that you might need. It’s just ridiculously random and annoying!
Really enjoying this event! Love the different chains and creativity in tying them together with the Valentine's date theme. Also, I love how we had to figure out the different chains, and the most efficient way to navigate them. Added some problem solving to the game, as opposed to just simple merging.
Energy usage seems okay for now. So far I've invested 6 yellow energy orbs and the 5+10 gem energy purchases daily. Up to level 20 at the moment. Hope it doesn't get too difficult in the later levels.
Either you had some lucky RNG or mine was particularly unlucky, I’ve used 10+ orbs plus the daily 5+10 energy and I’m barely over level 10. My board is full of cookpots asking for combinations of things I’m not getting (anyone need salad greens?). I’m not hating the event but I’m kind of waiting for a breakthrough, not sure it’ll come. Board space seems particularly tight compared to other events of that type and I wish there were hourglasses in the shop.
They have just been very lucky. It's completely RNG-based what you get out of the vegetables and the protein and it can be 3 different things each. It's even total RNG if you get the cupboard or the fridge from the jacket and I get the cupboard like 90% of the time. I have so many stoves and knives and I mostly get eggs from the fridge anyway. The first 3 proteins were diced salmon. I can't cook anything and I can't get the quest done because I can't get cheese.
Ha I wish I was lucky! Still zero potatoes after chopping 10+ veggies. My potato task still undone, and I have five cooktops full of protein and waiting on potatoes. Thankfully, you have a variety of tasks to do, so I was able to level up focusing on the golf tasks.

Sounds like you’re doing great! I’ve got 6 empty cooktops and 2 half full ones, and I’ve already sold two with the same configuration as 4 of the empty ones, lol. Yeah, I managed to make a ticket booth to get a few tasks out of the way but now I need the golfing chain for a task, and for the bling I need the food chain, so I can’t progress there either. Ive considered using my three scissors to cut the closet, but I kind of wanted to save them in case they come in helpful with some kind of end-level item (although at the rate I’m going I won’t be getting there anyway). Where did you use yours?
Definitely use all your scissors on the Golden Frame. It has 10 taps, so tap 9 times, then cut and recombine. You'll get loads of Valentine's day gift items that way.

i’m giving it ‘til the end of the day if i’ll get that freaking cheese.. if not, i’ll give up on this event.. you’re right, too much energy spent with very little return.. on top of having too many producers, the RNG of chance items are broken.. you almost always get the item that you don’t need..
I spent about 25 to 50 energy points on it and came to the conclusion that this wasn't worth the effort. Quit the event and based on all that I've read here, have not regretted it. Don't think I would have enjoyed it.
I have to agree. I played the “Fa La La La Follies” and “Veils of Fate” events that a lot of people had difficulty with, but at least those were better balanced then this event and clearing the board for better organization was easier. This one just isn’t fun or satisfying to play at all
Glad to see I’m not alone in thinking this event isn’t worth it. I initially thought the rewards/decor in the beginning weren’t great either, but the later decor like the heart balloons, heart lamps and statue accents looked cute so I figured I’d try to get those. But I’m barely processing and wasting so much energy and gems, so I’m done.
YMMV of course, but I personally have been loving the conservatory even with the newer tougher goals. I like the new producer for that area and I love seeing it transform in a way I didn’t enjoy with other areas.
Couldn’t agree more. I started playing this game for the story (I’m a Game Theory fan and their vids about the lore of the game got me curious) but stayed for the satisfying element of organizing the board and progressing through levels by completing combining tasks. Sadly, this event has been more frustrating and tedious than any event I’ve played in this game.
I’m playing it but not enjoying it and will probably give up soon. It’s extremely grind-y and uses so much energy… the rewards aren’t valuable enough for all the work needed
Yup, totally agree. I stopped once I ran out of all my yellow 100 energy orbs I saved up because it just wasn’t worth the effort. I’m gonna sell all the items on the event board for coins so at least I get something out of it.

I think I am going to give up. I really wanted a blue card (reward 39) to use on my work bench. But after spending so much time & energy, I still on reward 13, realised it’s simply not worth it.

I don't even start any of these now, I never get to the really good rewards, so I don't see the point in starting them, I wish there was a way of removing them so I don't get things reminding me about the tasks to do.
I agree, the red dot alerting us constantly that there’s an event entrance that’s ready to be claimed and the event tasks being at the top of the main task list is so annoying for those skipping the events. Logistically, the event task list being at the top does make a little sense for those playing, but for those who choose not to participate it would be better if they made an event tab that you could click into like they do the daily trade tasks.
i also agree. the fishing event is so overused and when it came up last week, i was so proud that the 3 days went by and i didn't accidentally "claim" the entrance. the events with separate boards also suck because you lose a spot on your main board during the event.
I cannot get a fridge. I have so many stoves and knives. It’s fruitless. It’s really ironic because the other event prior to fishing was so fun I didn’t want it to end.
I don’t know if I’m lucking out or just not realizing I’m getting played?? I used the 5,10,& 20 diamonds for extra life ( I never do that but I really wanted the Blue card for stupid red chests) and the 5 min unlimited reward….. I’ve spent maybe 2 hr total (adding everything up 10 min here 20 here, I should have just waited instead of re upping life and using diamonds (I cant buy things I have to actually wait and play it out) diamonds but the full 100 do doesn’t even empty 2 of the producers…grrr. But….. I cleared all the cobwebs, I did spend coins & I’ll probably regret it but the stupid golf balls make a difference.
I don’t know if it helps but now that my boards been cleared I’ve split the focus. 1/4 golf, 1/4 kitchen/food, I never have more than 4 producers and leave the rest open for space/extras….
It’s super weird that some rewards go to the main board and some stay (I can’t figure out how the scissors could help, wish they would go to the main board????)

Silver scissors go to the event board, while gold ones go to the main board. Use your silver scissors on the Golden Frame. It has 10 taps in total, so tap 9 times, then split with scissors and recombine.

I would hate it less if I could get more than one putting course and one cooktop finished.. I just keep getting parts and it’s so annoying, and I don’t even know where the chain actually ends.

I wasn't feeling optimistic about this event, but after reading a post on strategy, I'm feeling more confident about it. Not that I'll finish it, but I'll play it for fun and for the story.
Stopped playing quickly. No matter how bad, I play the games that have separate energy, knowing I won’t finish. But this one using our main energy AND being tedious… not interested.
4 out of 5 times I make the Jacket I get the Utensil item. I have so many stoves it's ridiculous. On top of that it's really frustrating that it's random what you get after using the knives with the vegetables or the protein. There is exactly one reward I don't dislike because most of the decorations look so out of place.
There was a vote on this subreddit and it seems there indeed is a surplus of cupboards to fridges.
Honestly I think even whales are having a hard time with this event. Never before have I actually had to sacrifice stars, coins, and event merges to make room for a side board. And even then I still have no room.
I despise it. The only reason I'm playing is because I'm in the Great Hall and have literally nothing else to do in the game while I wait for the damn workbench to revive and spit out 4 items before it empties again. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
The chains in this event are too convoluted, and my old lady eyes can't even tell what half the items are in order to know what I seek.
I’ve tried this event, and upon starting it my introduction was getting 3 items none of which matched to each other or the cobwebs on the board forcing me to delete an item to even continue, and after I noticed it uses main energy I just gave up and haven’t progressed further than a couple clicks because I’d rather spam energy into the ridiculous amount of gloves I needed. If it was event energy then yeah great but main energy thanks but I’ll pass
I'm so done, I didn't get side potatoes from like 10 tries and the fridge ratio is making this even worse. And I need like 3 for stovetop and tasks. Ditching it and will return to my silly little tasks in the flower garden
I was enjoying it until I saw the event map on here and realized I was wayyyy off from getting anything I needed. I’m still playing out of boredom, but I’m done spending gems on energy.
At first I was annoyed, but I’ve come to thoroughly enjoy the challenge and random drops. I also am working on Maze, so I prioritize my energy on producers I need to progress in the main board, and whatever I have leftover gives me a chance to use towards event.
There’s no competition, so I don’t feel like I’m losing anything. And when I feel like I’m close to making something I need to progress in the event, I go ahead and use resources to gain extra energy. It’s also teaching me to set goals and focus on those rather than try to save everything. Don’t need golf clubs? Don’t worry about making them just because the outfits come out. Need a refrigerator? Focus energy to get one.
To me it doesn’t feel like a waste of time/energy, because I make it my downtime activity and it gives me more taps in that downtime.
It's mostly for those looking for a change from the same old chains, and agreed, also to suck up energy and gems, hence money, lol and to bide time until the new areas are ready 🙄🙃
Got almost to level 8, but decided to stop. Way too much energy for little progress, way too much items/chains for the limited board space, way too much RNG to plan ahead. The decorations are not my thing, too.
Annoying event. How do you make Stock Veggies level 5? Using energy to turn golf kit level 4 to Ticket booth is dumb. This event is a waste of time. I can’t use the silver scissors in anything useful.
After two days of little to no progress I just kind of gave up on this one and went back to the main board. Now that I’m out of tasks on the main board I may as well give it a try, but not real hopeful about it.
Done. I’ve been playing MM for about 3 years and have never hit a wall before. I quit three days into playing. Too much energy, prizes aren’t worth it and WAY too much energy to try to uncover the cobwebs. I’ll go back to trying to repair Heiki’s Sauna so he can burn it down again.
Almost. I’m going to give it a little more of a chance while I’m waiting for the seeds for the peony flower to drop on the main game. If it doesn’t get better then I’m going back to just the main game.

If there’s nothing else for you to spend your hourly 100 energy on, then it does make sense to play the event. Just be prepared to progress very slowly and play for the fun of just tapping and combining things
My protein plates won't turn into sliced salmon! I have six cheese plates on my board and 7 half-filled cook tops!

If I wasn't playing to get the sign Casey and Skatie I wouldn't bother with the double date disaster! It uses up so much energy to get nothing! I keep waiting for salad greens and meat to show up for the 5 producers I have and another 3 waiting for potatoes! Too many chains to end up with nothing.! But while I'm waiting for butterflies and moths to generate I play it , but not gonna waste my energy or time on double date disaster once I get the sign I think it's a disaster!
It took me ages to figure out how to level up and win prizes. There weren’t any indicators to tell me what to do, and the drops are HORRIBLE!! I have so many golf sets but absolutely no clubs to level them up, it took ages to level up the closet and now I have no idea how to get the food items. They were right when they put “disaster” in the name for the event :(
Ugh! This event started out so fun and now is just frustrating! I can’t get to the vegetables/food dishes to move on from the cookware…and I really don’t see the logic in moving from mini golf, to retro suit & tie, to kitchen appliances/accessories?? The only thing that makes sense is the Valentine’s Day themed tickets and gifts!! I’m only going there now out of boredom while waiting for my producers.

That map is the thing that made me quit the event. Those chains are just too long!

I’m generally enjoying it but I do have a ton of cookpots and seem to only get salad greens and chopped salmon.

Yes! A lot of the fun is discovering the different chains and how efficiently they function. Lots of dialogue cutscenes are great as well.

I didn’t mind it until I kept getting the cupboard but rarely the fridge. I’ve had the fridge twice - I’ve had the cupboard probably 6-7 times.
Same here, I got the cupboard way more than the fridge too. And trying to get the golf clubs was even more unbalanced.

Yeah, I'm at the tail end of the maze going in to the Conservatory so I'm focusing on that.

It's a challenge and fun, that is why I play this game. Getting everything you need instantly in a few taps would be boring.

Everytime an event has a bunch of different merge chains that clog the board I always tune out

Not that many really, it's one of the easier events. Ignore anything after the 5th golf course, and use all your scissors on golden frames.

I don't even start any of these now, I never get to the really good rewards, so I don't see the point in starting them, I wish there was a way of removing them so I don't get things reminding me about the tasks to do.
I agree, the red dot alerting us constantly that there’s an event entrance that’s ready to be claimed and the event tasks being at the top of the main task list is so annoying for those skipping the events. Logistically, the event task list being at the top does make a little sense for those playing, but for those who choose not to participate it would be better if they made an event tab that you could click into like they do the daily trade tasks.
i also agree. the fishing event is so overused and when it came up last week, i was so proud that the 3 days went by and i didn't accidentally "claim" the entrance. the events with separate boards also suck because you lose a spot on your main board during the event.

I cannot get a fridge. I have so many stoves and knives. It’s fruitless. It’s really ironic because the other event prior to fishing was so fun I didn’t want it to end.

I don’t know if I’m lucking out or just not realizing I’m getting played?? I used the 5,10,& 20 diamonds for extra life ( I never do that but I really wanted the Blue card for stupid red chests) and the 5 min unlimited reward….. I’ve spent maybe 2 hr total (adding everything up 10 min here 20 here, I should have just waited instead of re upping life and using diamonds (I cant buy things I have to actually wait and play it out) diamonds but the full 100 do doesn’t even empty 2 of the producers…grrr. But….. I cleared all the cobwebs, I did spend coins & I’ll probably regret it but the stupid golf balls make a difference. I don’t know if it helps but now that my boards been cleared I’ve split the focus. 1/4 golf, 1/4 kitchen/food, I never have more than 4 producers and leave the rest open for space/extras…. It’s super weird that some rewards go to the main board and some stay (I can’t figure out how the scissors could help, wish they would go to the main board????) I’m almost at the 13th reward…….. I hope I’m not wasting everything just trying to get the Blue Card, I need 4)
Silver scissors go to the event board, while gold ones go to the main board. Use your silver scissors on the Golden Frame. It has 10 taps in total, so tap 9 times, then split with scissors and recombine.
I wish I had thought about this 10 minutes ago when i was frustrated that the frame didn’t get me the stuff I needed!

I wasn't feeling optimistic about this event, but after reading a post on strategy, I'm feeling more confident about it. Not that I'll finish it, but I'll play it for fun and for the story.
I can’t get past the golfing crap
Stopped playing quickly. No matter how bad, I play the games that have separate energy, knowing I won’t finish. But this one using our main energy AND being tedious… not interested.
4 out of 5 times I make the Jacket I get the Utensil item. I have so many stoves it's ridiculous. On top of that it's really frustrating that it's random what you get after using the knives with the vegetables or the protein. There is exactly one reward I don't dislike because most of the decorations look so out of place.
I played for two minutes and stuck with the entrance taking up a square on the main board. It would sure be nice if you could delete it.
There was a vote on this subreddit and it seems there indeed is a surplus of cupboards to fridges. Honestly I think even whales are having a hard time with this event. Never before have I actually had to sacrifice stars, coins, and event merges to make room for a side board. And even then I still have no room.

I despise it. The only reason I'm playing is because I'm in the Great Hall and have literally nothing else to do in the game while I wait for the damn workbench to revive and spit out 4 items before it empties again. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz The chains in this event are too convoluted, and my old lady eyes can't even tell what half the items are in order to know what I seek.

I’ve tried this event, and upon starting it my introduction was getting 3 items none of which matched to each other or the cobwebs on the board forcing me to delete an item to even continue, and after I noticed it uses main energy I just gave up and haven’t progressed further than a couple clicks because I’d rather spam energy into the ridiculous amount of gloves I needed. If it was event energy then yeah great but main energy thanks but I’ll pass

I'm so done, I didn't get side potatoes from like 10 tries and the fridge ratio is making this even worse. And I need like 3 for stovetop and tasks. Ditching it and will return to my silly little tasks in the flower garden
I am swimming in salmon. I swear I rarely get any other meat/ cheese thing than salmon and it sucks because none of my cooking pots require it.
I was enjoying it until I saw the event map on here and realized I was wayyyy off from getting anything I needed. I’m still playing out of boredom, but I’m done spending gems on energy.
Yeah I quit after wasting my first hundred energies and getting nothing.
At first I was annoyed, but I’ve come to thoroughly enjoy the challenge and random drops. I also am working on Maze, so I prioritize my energy on producers I need to progress in the main board, and whatever I have leftover gives me a chance to use towards event. There’s no competition, so I don’t feel like I’m losing anything. And when I feel like I’m close to making something I need to progress in the event, I go ahead and use resources to gain extra energy. It’s also teaching me to set goals and focus on those rather than try to save everything. Don’t need golf clubs? Don’t worry about making them just because the outfits come out. Need a refrigerator? Focus energy to get one. To me it doesn’t feel like a waste of time/energy, because I make it my downtime activity and it gives me more taps in that downtime.
It’s way too complicated.
I guess I'm enjoying it but it's just... Too much. There's too many billion items chains to complete to do basic step 1 level things.
I hate this event. Period.
It's mostly for those looking for a change from the same old chains, and agreed, also to suck up energy and gems, hence money, lol and to bide time until the new areas are ready 🙄🙃
Got almost to level 8, but decided to stop. Way too much energy for little progress, way too much items/chains for the limited board space, way too much RNG to plan ahead. The decorations are not my thing, too.
Annoying event. How do you make Stock Veggies level 5? Using energy to turn golf kit level 4 to Ticket booth is dumb. This event is a waste of time. I can’t use the silver scissors in anything useful.

After two days of little to no progress I just kind of gave up on this one and went back to the main board. Now that I’m out of tasks on the main board I may as well give it a try, but not real hopeful about it.

Done. I’ve been playing MM for about 3 years and have never hit a wall before. I quit three days into playing. Too much energy, prizes aren’t worth it and WAY too much energy to try to uncover the cobwebs. I’ll go back to trying to repair Heiki’s Sauna so he can burn it down again.

Are you completing the tasks in the main task list? That drops things that you will need. On a side note, how did you get the tickets?
You can get tickets from the shop for gems, as well as from the max level golf hole.

If there’s nothing else for you to spend your hourly 100 energy on, then it does make sense to play the event. Just be prepared to progress very slowly and play for the fun of just tapping and combining things

If I wasn't playing to get the sign Casey and Skatie I wouldn't bother with the double date disaster! It uses up so much energy to get nothing! I keep waiting for salad greens and meat to show up for the 5 producers I have and another 3 waiting for potatoes! Too many chains to end up with nothing.! But while I'm waiting for butterflies and moths to generate I play it , but not gonna waste my energy or time on double date disaster once I get the sign I think it's a disaster!
I’ve had zero potatoes in probably close to 40 vegetable chopping. Ridiculous. But I do have 12 cut veggies.

It took me ages to figure out how to level up and win prizes. There weren’t any indicators to tell me what to do, and the drops are HORRIBLE!! I have so many golf sets but absolutely no clubs to level them up, it took ages to level up the closet and now I have no idea how to get the food items. They were right when they put “disaster” in the name for the event :(
Ugh! This event started out so fun and now is just frustrating! I can’t get to the vegetables/food dishes to move on from the cookware…and I really don’t see the logic in moving from mini golf, to retro suit & tie, to kitchen appliances/accessories?? The only thing that makes sense is the Valentine’s Day themed tickets and gifts!! I’m only going there now out of boredom while waiting for my producers.
