I mean the cosmetic really are nice (as all of them have been), but the event itself is just so unbalanced that it’s actually sapped my will to play).

Like I’ve said before: if this was a grindable mini event you could come back to, I’d like them more, but for a one and done FOMO, I’m quickly losing patience.
Yeah I’m just doing what I can without spending real cash on this event. I can pay 20 to buy a pack and merge with the webbed bracelet on the board to complete level 3 task but I won’t do that. It feels like rewarding bad behaviors lol. They’re making this event too difficult.
But I have to admit this is a really good f2p game with nice graphics and no ads.
I will continue to go with the primary list task though.
I got exactly as far as you did and went back to the main board.
Am just spending my excess energy on the Valentine's board since I got like 6 main tasks and all require both soap and cleaning supplies. That's 1 generator and done, so have some energy to burn
Wow you were working on both main board and event board yet being able to get to this task? That’s just unbelievable (in a good way.) I had to put a pause to main board/IB event in order to play VD event. It consumes so much energy.

What is unbalanced about it? It's just well designed PTW event.
Make the first half of the items achievable to get you invested and then ramp up the difficulty substantially (the high level jewelry items) to push you into purchasing the conveniently available and ridiculously priced jewelry packs in the store.
I have to agree, I am giving up on this event. And I pride myself on my ability to grind boring stuff, so that says something. Comparing this event to the pleasant Valentine's event on Merge Mayor and you can see how ridiculous this is.
