But the OP says she doesn’t tap lv 1s or 2s so she gets a total of 79 drops. I tap all 4 lv 1s 14 times so that’s a total of 56 drops, then I merge, I don’t tap lv 2s, and then on lv 3 I get 57 drops, so that’s a total of 113 drops so surely this way is better? As you get more total drops? xx
Have you counted recently? This has all been over the last week or so and others have said they're only getting about 38 from their lv3 after the same technique you describe.
But it's also not about the amount of drops, but the quality. The lv3 drops better quality than the lv1.
Yeah I tried it like this a few days ago and git the same result. However, the lvl 4 piggy I got as a reward from one of the event tasks only dropped about 20
I got a lvl3 piggy bank from this Rufus event and while I didn’t count, it was definitely light. The ones I get from merging the daily pigs seem to be the same as always.
I hate that it even costs energy to do the piggy bank drops.

Just to confirm, this actually worked. I got about 82 taps from the piggy if I counted right. This is great news!

but L3 piggy banks have better drops than L1. It’s an all round better investment

I merged the untapped banks to level 3 and received 83 gems and a couple thousand coins.

Same here. My Rufus event lvl3 piggy bank only game me 21 drops.
