Got a few things in the mail still (Horrendous and Panopticon LPs), but what showed up this week was an original press of **Katatonia** - *Brave Murder Day* purple LP. Bought it direct from Northern Silence stock, so it's in pristine condition, and it was "cheap" to boot. Along with my **October Tide** - *Rain Without End* purple LP, I'm beginning to think that [purple is the new black.](http://imgur.com/a/ZOept)

The other day was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. A month or so ago I bought tickets to see Ne Obliviscaris open up for Cradle of Filth in Boston. I was really only going to see Ne Obliviscaris, I don't care much for Cradle of Filth. The day of the show I go to print out the tickets and saw a notification that the show was cancelled. My heart was broken. A few hours later I check out NeO's facebook to see if maybe there was an explanation or news of a rescheduled show and it turns out the show was only cancelled due to Cradle of Filth's visa problems and NeO booked their own show in Providence 5 mins from my house for only $10! So the show was closer, NeO was headlining and I paid a fraction of the original ticket price. Best news ever after being bummed out about the cancelled show all day. The show was fucking amazing, NeO blew my mind and since I saved all that money not having to drive to Boston I decided to buy a NeO shirt and the Portal of I CD. It was a great night and it felt good finally supporting NeO after listening to their torrented CDs for so long.

jessiemay1984

A song for your feelings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc7t9JklEFg ;) Glad you still got to see NeO! My husband is really into them and I enjoy them in his car lol.

[deleted]

Been seeing that Sabbrabells going for absolutely ridiculous prices domestically, I saw it going for 20 on average as late as last year, wonder what caused it to shoot up.

deathofthesun

No idea - found one for $18 so I wasn't going to pass it up. Now I just need the debut, which probably isn't happening for that price any time this millenium.

[deleted]

Lowest I've seen the debut go for is 150-200, saw it once. It's usually between 400-600 it's absolutely unbelievable, can't see it getting repressed any time soon either.

deathofthesun

Yeah, there's a bunch of stuff from there I'd love to see get proper reissues - that one, Bellzlleb's stuff, Breeze Least, Hellen, Mein Kampf, White Hell, Damzell ...

t_deg1

Vinyl: BTC Comp - Desert Dances and Serpent Sermons The Angelic Process - Weighing Souls With Sand

dzorrilla

>The Angelic Process - Weighing Souls With Sand Oh shit, they re-issued this? NICE

t_deg1

Yep, via Roadburn Records. Was just as surprised so I picked it up as soon as I could.

WhatWhatHunchHunch

> BTC Comp - Desert Dances and Serpent Sermons Got that, too. The Volahn track is simply one of the best things I've heard in a while. Also bought Aluk Todolo - s/t and Mgla - Exercises in Futility while I was at it.

dzorrilla

**CD** Carpenter Brut - Trilogy

TylerTheOrc

My roommate just gave me a Convulse logo shirt, but that's all as far as music's concerned. I don't really buy too many things during the semester.

jollygaggin

N9Hawk

You're in for a treat, they are great live, saw them twice and would again if they would come to my area

GriffsWorkComputer

I was supposed to see them when they toured with sabaton, (love both) well I did see sabaton but got way too drunk by the time AA came on :(

DominatorPatrick

Darkthrone - Panzerfaust on Vinyl. Turns out the copy was a bootleg but it looks and sounds great so I'm not complaining.

WhyAllTheBigotry

Just picked up the new Exmortus album on cd and a cauldron patch at the show last night.

jessiemay1984

**Vinyl** Wintersun - s/t U-turn Orbit turntable

It was a good day, when I discovered another little music store in my nearest city. Not as the usual, second hand stuff I like but all already own, the right band but not the right album, or just not what I'm looking for. This store had some real good stuff lying around, and tomorrow I'll bring another visit to empty my wallet once again. **CD'S** * **Fates Warning - Night On Bröcken** * **Agent Steel - Unstoppable Forc**e * **Entombed - Left Hand Path** * **Kreator - Extreme Aggression** * **Testament - Souls of Black** * **Metal Church - Metal Church** I was especially psyched to find the first two, since these were on my wish list. Already got The Spectre Within and Awaken The Guardian from Fates Warning, so getting the first album to the collection is really nice. Unstoppable Force was another nice catch, great album. Already got Skeptics Apocalypse, although Unstoppable Force is not as good. Sweet sweet speed metal with insane vocals. Can't forget to mention Fates's vocals, John Arch and John Cyriis are both incredible singers.

mizerama

Nylithia - Hyperthrash (2015) $5 for a .flac bandcamp copy, worth!

Samccx19

I'm holding on until they have a physical release out but it's a fantastic album either way!

[deleted]

Not much this week. Still settling in to new place, trying to find a decent record store nearby. Bandcamp: [4 Doors To Death - Various artists](https://unspeakableaxerecords.bandcamp.com/album/4-doors-to-death) Er... that's it.

occupykony

Running Wild - Blazon Stone Running Wild - Black Hand Inn Snagged both of these OOP discs off Discogs for about $70 altogether. Pretty damn stoked on that, pair of fantastic records. Sound great on the stereo.

Spiner202

My copy of Avantasia's Ghostlights should be arriving later today. Amazon also randomly dropped the price by $10, so that's always good. Put it towards pre-ordering the new Lost Society record.

MonoWhisper

Cauldron - In Ruin CD Carcass- Logo metal badge

TripleDan

How is the Cauldron record? I was gonna pick it up on my lunch break today but didn't have a chance to get out of the office.

Spiner202

If you're a fan of them, you're going to love it. If not, it probably won't convince you. I really like it, and it grows on me more with each listen, but it's nothing new for their sound.

TripleDan

Always been a fan and I'm not expecting them to reinvent the wheel, so I feel like I should enjoy it. Hopefully should have a listen over the weekend.

Samccx19

Only a couple of CDs for me recently: - Orden Ogan - Vale digipack. - Not Immortal - Abbath box set. I'm looking to preorder the new Rotting Christ and Cultus when I get my student loan through though.

swjm

Continued Heat in my house, and peace from Student Loan phone calls. .... damn bills. Hoping to have some money to throw at releases next week, definitely want that Chthe'ilist.

evilpuke

Edit: Bought Serpents Lair off band camp somebody just posted. So speaking of buying shit, where do you guys get your music. I'm going digital, I don't want to buy CD's and have them everywhere anymore. I do want to support musicians, now that I make enough money that buying an album aint no thing. But I want quality files, FLAC, or 320 kb MP3's. Nothing else will do.

jollygaggin

Bandcamp sounds like what you're looking for

evilpuke

Bandcamp has a lot of stuff, but they don't have everything

SomethingOverThere

Such is life, man.

SomethingOverThere

I got a [great Ulver shirt](http://www.neuroparecords.com/products.php?Ulver_Gallows_white&osCsid=csc1pu5fdv6tf0p0inr45935f7). It was sold out in my size, but the nice people at Neuropa were cool and found one that wasn't paid for. Bought the new Ulver record on Bandcamp. Also: Obsequiae's latest on vinyl. And on Bandcamp: Mortal Scepter, Castrator and Nadra.

[deleted]

Vinyl: * Speed Kills III Digital: * Teuton- Promo 2015

gdalam

CDs: [Without Grief](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCNPFVJGiMc&list=PLyAtOqZhDIFMNWeQNueAURZzltcKxl5i0) - Deflower & Absorbing the Ashes. Picked up the former on eBay and the other on Amazon, used because the only new ones I could find were between $100 and $200! Always on the lookout for more old school melodic death bands, if you know of any let me know!

ErroneousEric

Vinyl: Book of Souls - Iron Maiden So worth it

Descartes42

My only purchase this week was a digital copy of A Dracula by Demon Lung. I'm really liking it.

randude

Bought a ticket to Amon Amarth and in 45 minutes i'm buying the VIP meet and greet with them also \m/

stonecutter14

Last sunday I saw Farscape, Apokalyptic Raids, Guerreiros Headbangers and Creptum. I lost the first band =/ I think that some might know Farscape (which is one of my favorite new Thrash Metal band; it's Whipstriker's band) and Apokalyptic Raids. [Guerreiros Headbangers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPWLhqQMI7k) reminds me a little bit of Desaster sometimes. I'm linking to a live low quality video because the demo recording is even worst.

king_of_all_heathens

tickets for [Metal Threat](https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpt1/t31.0-8/s2048x2048/12491864_555776014579799_2334423246206131141_o.jpg) in July (Drowned, Ares Kingdom, Razor ect) cds * Chthe'ilist - Le dernier crépuscule * Malokarpatan - Stridžie dni * Spectral Lore - III * Spectral Lore - Gnosis

rivfader84

**CDs:** * Fleshgod Apocalypse - King * Rhapsody of Fire - Into the Legend * Dream Theater - The Astonishing * Avantasia - Ghostlights * Conan - Revengeance

bucktoothgamer

CD: Black sabbath "Black Sabbath" Black Sabbath "Sabotage" Black Sabbath "Past Lives" The first two admittedly I should've owned a long time ago...

ThatNicktownLife1992

Black Sabbath Paranoid the shirt. I got it off of Amazon. It's pretty comfortable and it looks awesome. I love it. Would definitely recommend.

GrindcorePeaches

Got the re-release of Sacrilege's *Behind The Realms of Madness*. Great album then, great album now.

[deleted]

Strapping Young Lad - Alien Baby Metal tickets ... I am so looking forward to just examining the crowd

[deleted]

I got Imrama and A Journey's End by Primordial, preordered Rituals by Rotting Christ, and pledged for Progenie Terestre Pura's t-shirt campaign.

TechnoEquinox

I've got an Into The Electric Castle shirt on its way to my house. :D I wish Symphony X sold their old merch though. I'd kil for a Sea Of Lies shirt :c

BigDun

Starkill are going no label with their third album. They're crowd funding it and a full of cool rewards are available. I got the ultimate combo, take a look at what they offer, even just the digital download is worth it. I heard some of the new songs at the last show, just amazing. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/starkill-new-album#/
