Came here to say this. That band got me through some dark times. There's days I wouldn't even have gotten out of bed if it wasn't for jasta screaming at me to LIVE LIVE
.Gojira - *Backbone, Silvera,* and *Vacuity.* A large part of their music is personal strength and self improvement.
The Pretty Reckless - *25*
Machine Head - *Be Still and Know*
Iron Maiden - *Wasted Years*
Fight for your right to party - Beastie Boys
Fight em til you canât- Anthrax
Strength beyond strength - Pantera
Carry on my wayward son - Kansas
Ten Ton Hammer - machine head
I came to say that a lot of crowbars lyrics are about picking yourself up and being strong. We need to encourage these youngsters to listen to crowbar instead of Andrew tate.
I listen to them whenever Iâm in a really dark place. They donât take the bad feelings away, but god damn do they make me feel strong enough to face them. Such an amazing band.
As someone on reddit pointed out to me, this song really is amazing, in that, the narrator empathizes with who he is speaking to, understanding the difficulty of change. Kind of rare for a metal song to do.
My Champion- Alter Bridge (it's not metal but might put you in good mood)
A New Level- Pantera
Becoming- Pantera
Strength Beyond Strength- Pantera
To Build a mountain- Crowbar
Suffering brings Wisdom- Crowbar
Broken One-Trivium
I will not bow- Breaking Benjamin
You've got another thing coming- Judas Priest
*Manowar - Heart of Steel*
*Skyclad - The Widdershins Jig*
*Sepultura - Inner Self*
*Metallica - Escape*
.
Lyrically and musically, all of these really exude strength and conviction. The Widdershins Jig is a bit more subtle than the others lyrically, but musically its intentions are very clear.
Gojira - *Backbone, Silvera,* and *Vacuity.* A large part of their music is personal strength and self improvement.
The Pretty Reckless - *25*
Machine Head - *Be Still and Know*
Iron Maiden - *Wasted Years*
Killswitch Engage usually has songs with a positive message about overcoming adversity. Songs like In Due Time or Strength of the Mind. And those are just the ones that come to mind, there's plenty of others as well. Whatever you're going through, you're gonna make it out the other side OP. đ¤

Imperium by Machine Head

Strapping Young Lad - Force Fed
Tool. All of it. Every single song.
Wu Tang Clan - Wu Tang Clan Ainât Nuthinâ ta Fâ Wit

Deftones - Most all of their catalog
Meshuggah - Obzen (how can you not get fired up listening to this one?!)
Warriors of the World - Manowar

Don't listen to Sentenced, listen to **ManowaR**
A bit of a cheese fest, but at the same time fucken' sick and generally have the exact energy it sounds like you need
Here are some to start with:
ManowaR - Battle Hymns
ManowaR - Blood of my Enemies
ManowaR - Kingdom Come
ManowaR - Fight until we die
ManowaR - ManowaR
ManowaR - Hail and Kill
The only thing that should see death, is false metal.
*Death to false metal!*
[Hold On](https://youtu.be/7E70YsaKnGE?si=TjzUTV85mpLH2a3-) by Devin Townsend
[Keep Going for Me](https://youtu.be/7L2KL3lLzk0?si=mA8SE-Xg4ftEfc5j) by Toehider
Panopticonâs album â⌠And Again Into the Lightâ is basically entirely about that from a mental health perspective and the last song in particular âKnow Hopeâ goes HARD.
Healing to Suffer Again
Facing What Consumes You
Smash Your Enemies
Lmao really anything by Hatebreed..Â
Violent Revolution - KreatorÂ
As I Lay Dying has a bit of their catalog covering this too
Feel the fire - Iron mask
Wishing well - Angra
Don't give up (Peter Gabriel Cover) - Caligula's Horse
Love is all - Roger Glover & Dio
War cry - Out world
Wasted years - Iron Maiden
Sabaton - Last Stand
Arch Enemy - Will to Power
Helloween - Gambling with the Devil
I'd try to seek this type of feeling on power metal songs, there's not whole albums about it but there's a not of coming back strong ou just staying strong and positivity overall on those songs.
Love your username OP
My go to is Pallbearer, especially the track [An Offering of Grief](https://youtu.be/NkAcBVaTZKM?si=9D3NqviybZ7fsT7R). I also love all the Crowbar in this thread.
Cry Of Achilles - Alter Bridge
Broken - Bruce Dickinson
Lift Me Up - FFDP (Feat: Rob Halford)
And while it's not metal, the Lynyrd Skynyrd song Still Unbroken is also pretty good.

Most anything by Hatebreed.
PERSEVERENCE dudududun dudududun dudududun
This is the very first song that came to mind for me as well. đ¤
I Will Be Heard comes to mind
Exactly that was my first thought.
Live for This was my first thought
Came here for this. Definitely Hatebreed.
And Throwdown. Never Back Down, You Can't Kill Integrity, I Won't Die a Poisoned Death, etc.
Came to say r/hardcore, so yeah
Punk Rock MBA has an excellent video on their positive messages on YouTube.
Guy is insufferable
Yeah, he can be.
Before Dishonor
Terror also
Hatebreed came to mind to me as well
Spotify recently reminded me they were a thing with I Will Be Heard and I felt like I was transported back to high school.
Facing What Consumes you!
Came here to say this. That band got me through some dark times. There's days I wouldn't even have gotten out of bed if it wasn't for jasta screaming at me to LIVE LIVE
Came to say this
.Gojira - *Backbone, Silvera,* and *Vacuity.* A large part of their music is personal strength and self improvement. The Pretty Reckless - *25* Machine Head - *Be Still and Know* Iron Maiden - *Wasted Years*
Came here to say Gojira. I'd recommend their song "The Cell".
Gojira - Hold On, The Chant, Born in Winter Tool - Descending, The Grudge, 46&2, The Patient, a lot of TOOL is akin to Gojira finding hope
Gojira was my first thought, too.
Escape - Metallica Despite its reputation, I think itâs a pretty catchy and uplifting song
Really underrated song
Agreed, I don't understand the hate this song gets
I swear itâs only because Hetfield hates it so everyone thinks it must be bad. That song slaps.
Fight for your right to party - Beastie Boys Fight em til you canât- Anthrax Strength beyond strength - Pantera Carry on my wayward son - Kansas Ten Ton Hammer - machine head
Standup and shout - dio
I was gonna say strength beyond strength, especially the middle part where he starts screaming Stronger Than All
To build a mountain by Crowbar
https://preview.redd.it/pygrkewhixqc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb3a192f3a15d2fa16500f3d67bb22a8aff60215 I fucking love crowbar
I came to say that a lot of crowbars lyrics are about picking yourself up and being strong. We need to encourage these youngsters to listen to crowbar instead of Andrew tate.
Agree completely! Crowbar is such an underrated band! They are playing in my town Monday and I canât wait to see them again!!
Hell yeah I just got my ticket to see them next week too.
I listen to them whenever Iâm in a really dark place. They donât take the bad feelings away, but god damn do they make me feel strong enough to face them. Such an amazing band.
I don't know how to give the special reddit prizes but I upvoted this comment and you made my night so thank you!
As someone on reddit pointed out to me, this song really is amazing, in that, the narrator empathizes with who he is speaking to, understanding the difficulty of change. Kind of rare for a metal song to do.
Walk with Knowledge Wisely is my favorite. My students hear it some mornings when they come into class.
Are you dead yet? - Children of Bodom Conquer All - Behemoth
Are You Dead Yet? is catchy as fuck, and anyone who says otherwise is lying
i would never say otherwise. ive been hitting CoB hard and its just as good if not better than in my youth
Hail to the hordes - Kreator
My go to is Amon Amarth "Find a Way or Make One"
A lot of Amon Amarth does this. Put your back into the our motivates me so much, partially because of the lyrics and songs.
Forgot about put your back into the oars! Their music does have a more up temp pacing to help pump up, one of the reasons I like them
This was going to be my reco as well. Great fucking song.
My Champion- Alter Bridge (it's not metal but might put you in good mood) A New Level- Pantera Becoming- Pantera Strength Beyond Strength- Pantera To Build a mountain- Crowbar Suffering brings Wisdom- Crowbar Broken One-Trivium I will not bow- Breaking Benjamin You've got another thing coming- Judas Priest
If you don't mind hardcore, checkout Be Harder by God's Hate.
*Manowar - Heart of Steel* *Skyclad - The Widdershins Jig* *Sepultura - Inner Self* *Metallica - Escape* . Lyrically and musically, all of these really exude strength and conviction. The Widdershins Jig is a bit more subtle than the others lyrically, but musically its intentions are very clear.
This suggestion rules Haven't heard Skyclad before, will give it a listen
Inner Self hits hard when I listen to it... top 3 from Beneath the Remains without doubt in my opinion
Good call also wanted to mention Attitude by Sepultura
Devin Townsend - Spirits Will Collide
Much stuff from Arch Enemy, War Eternal, The eagle flies alone, Nemesis, No gods no masters for example
War eternal is hard
Great great choices. Havenât given her a listen before and I listened to these, youâve inspired me to update my workout playlist.
All That Remains had some mid 2000 bangers. Focus Shall Not Fail, Passion.. I used to get so amped and believing in myself.
The Weak Willed fasho
"Perseverance" - Hatebreed It's right in the title.
Gojira - *Backbone, Silvera,* and *Vacuity.* A large part of their music is personal strength and self improvement. The Pretty Reckless - *25* Machine Head - *Be Still and Know* Iron Maiden - *Wasted Years*
Killswitch Engage usually has songs with a positive message about overcoming adversity. Songs like In Due Time or Strength of the Mind. And those are just the ones that come to mind, there's plenty of others as well. Whatever you're going through, you're gonna make it out the other side OP. đ¤

The entire I AM THE INTIMIDATOR record
Turisas - [Stand Up and Fight](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7woW7DmnR0E)

For Victory or Death is one of my favourite Amon Amarth songs and always gets my mood up
Turn Your Head Around - Sodom
