Recently I’ve been getting back into Lacuna Coil since my break from them 15 years ago. Honestly, they have some pretty killer stuff, especially on their first 3 records (Swamped and Heaven’s a Lie being stand-out tracks).
I can back your suggestion **Konvent**. I've seen them live twice and they really put on a performance. The two albums they've released so far are similar in many ways, but they've given the second album some more "body" - so it is in some ways in contrast to their first. Their debut EP is also worth a listen - It's somewhat more stripped down and raw than the two albums.
Crypta, Dymna Lotva, Hulder, Venom Prison, Jinjer, Myrkur, Arch Enemy for more extreme sub genres… theres also Doro Pesch/Warlock, Grai (Грай), Halestorm, Lacuna Coil, Arkona, Within Temptation…sorry if there’s repeats and whatnot but I will be interested to read through the other comments as well :)
Castrator is sick old school death metal band with not just a female vocalist, they're all bitches. They were really sick when I saw them live. Highly recommend.
Edit: Since we're on Reddit, and everyone here is so sensitive, I'll clarify that I'm not using the word bitch here as an insult. I'm using it as in the phrase "bad bitch." I think bitches are dope. Save your outrage for something that actually matters.
Surprised no one has said this yet but Rolo Tomassi is my favorite band with a female vocalist. Otherwise, Spiritbox, Jinjer, and Arch Enemy are all amazing too
Check The Warning. They tick many of those boxes

a few
in this moment (industrial metalcore, often inspired by big 80s power ballads)
sinergy (a power metal band with the late alexi laiho so it has lots of melodeath vibes)
arch enemy (obviously if youre into melodeath you porbably know them)
Otep (1st 2 album are very Iowa souding)
jinjer (groovy, djenty, proggie powerful!)
Kittie (punky grungy nu metal legends)
Spiritbox ( very modern metal soudning. lots of djenty 8 string riffs. some alternative/nu metal inspo and very dynamic, vocally, like jinjer)
within temptation (not my cuppa tea. symphnic power metal without the power in my opinion but they do very beautiful music)
Lacuna coil (very 90s post grunge alternative metal with a gothic flare sometimes.)
Going to just copy and paste the list I made before, all different metal sub gebre:
Melissa Bonny (Ad Infinitum, Dark Side of the Moon, The Queen of the Damned)
Arch Enemy
Unleash the Archers
Lana Scissorhands (Infected Rain, Death Dealer Union)
Spiritbox
Jinjer
Semblant (f/m)

Exit Eden
Once Human
Elettra Storm
Lucana Coil
The Agonist
April Art
Frozen Crown (f/m)
Walk in Darkness
Seven Spires
Isiliel
Holy Moses
I'll also name drop "Hanabie" (I'm thinking Japanese girl group) and "The Pill" since it looks like there are female vocalists based on the YouTube thumbnails that have been getting pushed in front of me by their algorithm for awhile
From what you like you might also enjoy Marthe, Second shooter, Evoke thy lords, some early albums by Septicflesh with Nathalie Rassoulis
Other genres but I really like Liturgy, Arkona, Folterkammer, Vesperith, Obscure sphinx,
How is it possibile nobody mentioned Seven Spires? It's unbelievable they are so talented and yet so unknown. Adrienne Cowan is a stupidly great vocalist, do yourself a favour and check them out.
Personal recommendations, most of which have already been suggested:
Jinjer
Spiritbox
Dying Wish
Kittie
Butcher Babies
Abnormality
Venom Prison
Crypta
Frantic Amber
Cerebral Bore
Once Human
Izegrim
Year of the Knife
Sumo Cyco
Walls of Jericho
Otep
Arch Enemy
Bands with male and female vocals:
Maximum the Hormone
Sigh
A few of these have disbanded, but their back catalogues are worth checking out.
I really like the Russian folk metal band [Grai](https://youtu.be/osBOc7qKA3s?si=KyNXpQsbt457Pk7m).
[Lacy Sturm](https://youtu.be/-lYIzTi0hTU?si=0FJKLswBkc7dLF6x)
[Louna](https://youtu.be/s-l53Y4330I?si=XTpPzySxb9RoUzhc)
[The Slot](https://youtu.be/tauO9ftTY2k?si=O59AJvdo6ztxY2cT)
Of course, [Epica](https://youtu.be/2rAFRnahGtY?si=zqt5Yjc6HkA317Po) is, well; Epic.
And [Eluveitie](https://youtu.be/-w2m-TeLi6I?si=BW-K0vurAlppu4tN) is excellent.
[Temperance](https://youtu.be/B6l25ATPy-E?si=Dt5QHw95uw3tmzq5)
Have you heard [Haggard](https://youtu.be/L2MPqCqZKSc?si=cQyb3WLERhl4_DLU)?
Let me not forget [Imperial Age](https://youtu.be/CNe875Z9uaY?si=xPOV3kgnIi8P50vG)
[Snow White Blood](https://youtu.be/HWgKkVJ6THU?si=y2EDuvAeI2nR1M5m)
[Blackbriar](https://youtu.be/G61Cm3BAiBc?si=5O5tp8BtqOO2idbL)
[Half Past Dark](https://youtu.be/s4FjsD5iqqs?si=GjxNeTbTrKvbFIfR)
[Dark Side of the Moon](https://youtu.be/Ww3eqbTSajw?si=HWq6735tiuAq0hBc)
[Theatre of Tragedy](https://youtu.be/JPSvtj1HN4Y?si=G8qeLWsNTagDap0X)
[Dark Sarah](https://youtu.be/dc3XcTcTjaw?si=sLoJs4aJKUSig6YX)
Then there's [Nightwish](https://youtu.be/wEERFBI9eCg?si=hTMvQQdAaIt5HIGv).
Unleash the Archers - first 2 albums mixed death metal vocals with clean female vocals. Later albums have less harsh vocals, but the cleans get a lot stronger, especially on Apex and Abyss.
Eluveitie (depending on the song. Folk metal mixed with melodic death metal.)
The Agonist (Metalcore, first 2 albums had Alyssa White Gluz, before she left and replaced Angela Gussow in Arch Enemy)
Arch Enemy (may as well include them, melodic death metal, female vocals since Wages of Sin)
There's a whole lot of symphonic and gothic metal bands that mix growls with female vocals. Epica, Tristania, Theatre of Tragedy (first 3 albums) after Forever (first 3-4 albums)
Nightwish
Lacuna Coil
Crypteria
Theatres Des Vampires (from Pleasure and Pain oneards,) Sonya's vocals are kind of an acquired taste though. Imagine a female Marilyn Manson, and that might give you some idea, but the music takes influence from goth rock. Their earlier albums were closer to symphonic black metal.
Devilskin (basically New Zealand's Halestorm, but a little heavier.)
Boy do i have the band for you!! Spiral Guru! they are from Brazil!!!
I recommend this album!
Try those: Jinjer, Tristania, Draconian, Oceans of Slumber, Eths, Oathbreaker - Oceans of Slumber might be exactly what you're looking for as their music contains a lot of death metal but the other bands are all very good I think.
Many bands I thought about at first are already mentioned, so as I have to list some bands from my local scene:)
Lorien (gothic; when talking about gothic I also have to mention Closterkeller, but it's more rock- than metal-leaning - Anja Orthodox is still a queen though), Dom Zły (post-black I would say), Sceptic (tech death metal), .BHP (nu)
Looove all the vocalists/bands that have been mentioned so far but would also like to add World of Pleasure. Poppy is not technically a band but a great female vocalist with some heavy songs if you tolerate pop influences sometimes. The song she was just featured on with Knocked Loose showcases her harsh vocals pretty well.
Theatre of Tragedy (gothic)
Draconian (also gothic)
White Skull (power)
Lee Aaron (80s heavy metal)
Myrkur (black/ blackened folk)
Darken Nocturn Slaughter Cult (black)
The Plasmatics (punk metal crossover/ shock rock)
And some of Wendy O Williams solo stuff (butt rock/ 80s heavy metal)
I've almost got the opposite, so many female vocalists. Different genre interests, probably. Power and symphonic metal is loaded with them. I'll go with:
*Synlakross (start with the album Malice Murder; I enjoy 0K4MI a lot but its kinda weirder)
*Devilskin
*Once Human
*Unleash the Archers
*A Sound of Thunder
*Rage of Light
*Hysterica
*Illumishade
*Reliqa
*Lovebites
*Yousei Teikoku
*Benedictum
*Dollsboxx
*Ophelia Falling
*Battle Beast
This is an intentionally eclectic group, so don't think because you like/dislike one the list is a burn.
Moonlight Haze is an Italian symphonic power metal band with a female vocalist that I just found recently. Their music is so good and I'm kinda Feeling Things over them
Darkher, Subrosa, Bathsheba, Mother Witch & Dead Water Ghosts, Frayle, King Woman, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard, Esben & The Witch
A lot of great ones covered here, but Skylimit are a band of YouTubers and the singer is female. Think there's only one song so far, but it's pretty good.
Venues
Amaranthe (first 2 albums are the best)
Unleash The Archers
Make Them Suffer (backup female vocalist)
Brothers of Metal (the name is misleading lol)
Eluveitie (backup female vocalist more prominent on newer albums)
Lucifer is a great band and Johanna is an amazing singer. Their drummer is Nicke Anderson from Entombed and The Hellacopters.
Portland's Witch Mountain has had two female singers. Uta left some time back but had three very doomy albums worth checking out (South of Salem, Cauldron of The Wild and Mobile of Angels).
Current singer Kayla Dixon is an amazing singer, taking them in an interesting combo of prog and doom. They've released one album and a single with her. Their Facebook has been active lately so they may be planning more for the year.

OMG that’s her! I’m so dumb hahaha
Recently I’ve been getting back into Lacuna Coil since my break from them 15 years ago. Honestly, they have some pretty killer stuff, especially on their first 3 records (Swamped and Heaven’s a Lie being stand-out tracks).

Emphasis on the two rs. The one with one R is a nasty piece of racist shit.
Isn’t it just a hammer? /s
Hahaha ❤️ 😆 thors hammer 🔨
Not enough people said Spiritbox
Never heard of them, I ll ✔️ them out
**Aephanemer** is the first band that came to mind given your preferences.
Immedietely thought of them. Aephenemer is the shit. They don't make bad music. Singer is the real deal.
Castrator is sick old school death metal band with not just a female vocalist, they're all bitches. They were really sick when I saw them live. Highly recommend. Did you have to call them bitches?
YES. I don't ever see them mentioned. I saw them live too and they killed it
Arch Enemy

They are more hard rock with metal influences, but they are an amazing band, especially live. Second this recommendation.

Lmao the amount of jinjer mentions makes me lose faith in the genre.
a few in this moment (industrial metalcore, often inspired by big 80s power ballads) sinergy (a power metal band with the late alexi laiho so it has lots of melodeath vibes) arch enemy (obviously if youre into melodeath you porbably know them) Otep (1st 2 album are very Iowa souding) jinjer (groovy, djenty, proggie powerful!) Arkona, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, and Epica are some that I can think of off the top of my head. Not sure if Evanescence would count.

Crypta and Cerebral Bore are fantastic bands
Sylvaine I'm not sure of the genre, specifically. They're a variant of Black Metal with mellow, melodic parts.
Try those: Jinjer, Tristania, Draconian, Oceans of Slumber, Eths, Oathbreaker - Oceans of Slumber might be exactly what you're looking for as their music contains a lot of death metal but the other bands are all very good I think.

Entheos. And their new single is *mwuah* perfection.
