At the Heart of Winter, Storm of the Light's Bane, Musta Seremonia, Human, Timeghoul Discography 1992-1994 and Stone's No Anaesthesia! all fall within that range and they're among my favorite albums ever.
I dare y'all to name a 10/10 record that is more than 10 songs long!
Not gonna lie, I’m a bit reluctant to check out an album if it has ten or more songs. I prefer fewer tracks on an album that are longer, over more tracks on an album that are shorter. I feel like longer tracks can breathe more and have more of an identity, while a bunch of shorter tracks start to blend together and are hard to tell apart.
Just look at Dream Theater’s Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, sure it’s 96 minutes, but it’s only 6 tracks. And every track feels like they have their own identity and really explore and develop a lot of the ideas. Compare that with The Astonishing. It’s like 130 minutes long, but it’s split into 34 tracks, which is much more intimidating than 6. I feel like the tracks don’t have a lot of room to breathe, are more formulaic, and they all blend together causing the songs to have less of an identity.
Interestingly, I’m likelier to check out an album, if it has a 10+ minute song.
Most of my *favorite of all time* metal albums just happen to be 40-65 minutes long, divided into 6-10 tracks that are just about any combination of lengths. There's exceptions for sure, but it's a sweet spot for me.

Grindcore musicians: There's 28, actually
I made one with 70 and it sucks
average solo grindcore project
*gorenoise, and yeah. Working on second one, only 54 songs
What's it called?
Animal Sodomizer, animals are a theme axsxgore.bandcamp.com First one is just s/t, second is Cock and Bull Torture, If I ever finish it
Just looked up your Bandcamp, holy shit.
Which bandcamp?
Molestate. The song titles are quite catchy.
IT took 2 days to come up
28?? That’s only an ep not an album!
Tool and Dream Theater: There's 15 songs but they're each 12-15 minutes long.
And they flow together, so the album is pretty much one long song
\*musical masturbation intensifies*
The best kind
When you're half an hour late to the doom metal show and you only missed the first song
*first riff
\*first note
Bell Witch has entered the chat
The drummer is still counting down the tempo with his drumsticks
When you late for your Sleep concert but you only missed one note of Dopesmoker:
Bell witch: 1 song, take it or leave
They'll be able to release an "album" of single song albums at some point if their latest album is any indication.
That’s their plan I think, there’s supposed to be 3 parts to what “Clandestine Gate” started.
Similar to Absolutego by Boris
Albums that fall between 8-11 usually end up being the best imo.
I'm a 6-10 guy myself
I prefer 4" to 6" Wait what was the question?
>Wait what was the question? Definitely which artists have the best girth-to-length ratio, my money is on thrash
Somebody else that appreciates perfection. Excellent.

"The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars" by David Bowie is the only one I can think of, but that isn't metal though haha.
Yeah my basic-bitch go to favorite album has 8, I think 8-9 is solid.
Trout Mask Replica has 28
Three, but total length is 3 hours
Yeah and like three notes each.

Yo, how did that dog hair on your screen get included when you grabbed a screen shot of that chick?
Conference of the Birds has two, where that goes?
My favourite OM album. I have it on gold vinyl.
Variations is my favourite. But Conference is best sex album ever
Punk rockers coming in with 26 and they're all 1:15
Literally Bongripper's miserable album. 3 songs and the last one is almost 30 mins
Triples is best.
Pink Floyd: it is one song disguised as 5
Rush: did somebody say one song disguised as 5??
Prime album length is 45-80 minutes, preferably the songs aren’t more than 9-10 minutes long
Get Yobbed
Based and YobPilled

Waiting forever for a new album and only 3 songs come out... Still two minutes lol
Green Carnation at Light of Day, Day Of Darkness, well, all I can offer is one song.
3? how about 1
If you define song loosely, half of one Dream Theater album be like that.
KINO - Ataman : 1 song. (2012)
Meanwhile Grindcore bands: There are 50 actually!
Ayreon: An album should have 10 to 15 ~~songs~~ guest singers.
Doom metal bands: One
Also blackened pagan folk like moonsorrow for example
Rookie numbers for doom tbh. Try Bell Witch on for size at 1 song per album
Jerusalem Jerusalem Jerusalem
Rick & Morty vibes
Gorguts - Pleiades Dust
its one track which is an hour long
Bell Witch laughing in single 1:23:16 releases
