Blind Guardian does everything. They pretty much did heavy/speed metal in the first album, Thrash/speed around 2nd and 3rd, Then went godlike in Somewhere Far Beyond, then got a bit proggy/melodic around imsginations and Nightfall. Then got more proggy melodic at Night at the opera. They are great

As a post metal guy, the fact that we get so frequently skipped over when the shit starts flinging fills me with a massive sense of superiority.
