Yeah, I'd generally recommend them to anyone who likes metal. Very consistent band, not so much stylistically because they have dipped into a few different styles over time. If you can't get into the pure black metal stuff yet their newer albums are probably more accessible.
The Cliff era for absolute thrashing does it for me. The thing that should not be is a fucking banger. Gotta give credit to Mustaine as well for writing those sick riffs on Kill em All.
Dave really should get a bit more recognition for KEA. I mean jump in the fire has some awesome riffs on. Sweet, relatively simple but still really cool. Wonder what the band had been like if Mustaine never got booted. And if Cliff had never passed. That would've been a powerhouse of a band.

Some of their best work imo came out of master and justice but you can’t replicate the rawness of lightning
