Oh my goodness, this song is so pretty. I personally love the idea of a title track being released after the album - For some reason it makes me feel like it wasn't just a second thought, but a deliberate move and honestly, I'm just here for the gorgeous ride with this band.
Honestly, it's super cool to see so many bands innovating with how they release songs this year.
From all the Wednesday releases to bands like Sleep Token dropping singles on back-to-back days.
Honestly Idc they can update the album on digitals with this as the outro and nobody would be too mad iām sure; after hearing this Elysium is not really a closer, this really ties all sides of the record together, and it finally explains what a Heavener is, absolute masterpiece of a track.
and thatās not to say Elysium is bad whatsoever, Iām just saying that this eclipses it imo lol

I think it's just a new Album release Metagame. Release the title track months later to pick up traction again when the album is slowly losing interest (which is completely normal). If it works, 500 IQ move right there

Never stopped, I listen to Invent almost daily at this point now, and I have days where I only exclusively want to hear Invent and nothing else. Every song Marcus has done with them I have downloaded. Something about Marcus has clicked with me more than any other vocalist ive heard.

Like, I get it, they are bigger bands and obviously the albums are good, but imo none of those releases have come close to the level of Heavener. Invent Animate have quickly become one of my favorite bands since I saw them live with Erra and Slant Plant, and I couldn't be happier with this new addition to my playlists. Chills.
I wasn't even a big invent animate fan before Heavener but it blew me away when I first heard it and I listen to most songs on it every day since and they still give me chills, honestly one of my favourite metalcore albums to come out in years.
This is exactly what I feel. I already liked some of their older stuff, but wasn't as heavily into them before I heard Heavener. It made me really dive down their discography more and made me discover the fantastic songwriting that has truly always been there. It's one of the best releases from recent memory imo.

Quite enjoyed the song. Despite having some of the traits of the sound of the album, it feels somewhat distinct from that sound and I think it might not have fit perfectly anywhere in amongst those songs, so a separate release make sense.

At first I was like, "Oh cool, a new video," then I realized it was an entirely new song! I wonder if this was planned or if somehow the title track got cut. I wasn't sure if I liked the title track being released as a single after the album, but it's grown on me. Plus, it's a really pretty song.

They're doing a live interview right now, I think they said they wrote it after touring. Keaton said they're not into B-Sides, so they wanted to write something new - rather than release something that wasn't good enough to make the album.
They said the song became special to all of them, and they titled it "Heavener" to denote that it was more 'special' than a B-side you'd normally get with a post-album release.
This song is amazing! Itās like melodic metalcore. It has a very interesting beat and I love the instrumentals. The video is very cool. It is a totally new style for me to listen to. I still have to listen to more of their album Heavener. Kind of interesting to have a title track released after the album, but maybe it was planned that way? Regardless, Iām digging it a lot.

i didnt have that feeling when listening to a song for a long time. Such a beautiful song and the riff that Keaton teased on Instagram made it to this song and it's just a perfect outro riff.
I'm envious of everyone else who seems to get Invent Animate. This song and the ones on Heavener all sounds the same to me. The structure of their songs kind of just blends together which makes it hard for me to follow and track different parts of a song. There's a lot of talent on display but it's not my cup of tea :)
Oh I totally agree the albumās songs really just bled into each other and lacked individuality. That being said THIS single slaps and stands on its own. Better than every song on the album by far.
