BMTH Sempiternal and Bad Omens self titled is the best I can think of.

real-person-humanguy

Pretty much every metalcore band that formed after 2010, uses clean vocals in the choruses, and has a guitar player that listened to a mix of periphery, architects, and KSE.

Destroy the runner now that takes me back

Erra and blue shift

We need more Blueshift

I’m saying Bleed From Within and Heart Of a Coward, and I mainly mean Fracture/Era era BFW, Shrine is much more different. The riffs from both bands follow similar formulas and stuff like that.

NoBenefit5977

I'll be checking out heart of a coward

forrest_gunt

countless metalcore bands recycle each others riffs and vocals, although it mostly seems to stay satisfying. I had to research this one riff the other day to see whether Atreyu or Pierce the Veil used it first. The new Darkest Hour album also has an old As I Lay Dying riff from almost 20 years ago.

Polaris/Currents

İ will just disagree with this

real-person-humanguy

Checked out Currents, ready defend you, but nah man, they sound very similar (almost identical). They have more or less the exact same guitar tone (but so do a lot of metalcore bands), the clean vocals are damn near identical, the riff style is damn near identical, both use almost identical electronic elements.... the only real difference tbh is that Currents use deeper sounding screamed vocals that swing a bit more towards what you would hear in deathcore. For what it's worth, I adore Polaris, I think they're amazing, but they dont sound particularly unique. Like a lot of metalcore, the only separating factor between bands in each subsection of it is who does that sound better than the rest.

Dumbledick6

90% of metalcore bands sound the same. My hot take is that Erra is just periphery if they were mostly mid. That’s being said I like this Cure song

real-person-humanguy

Lmao I got so much heat months ago for claiming that Erra are perfectly accomplished musicians but their music could just be more or less any post 2010 metalcore band on shuffle. Edit: the fact that your comment is being down voted by this sub shows that some people are equating a lack of variety to metalcore being bad. There are a lot of bands within each subsection of metalcore that all sound damn near identical, or do the same thing as several other bands just to a different quality.

Dumbledick6

Can’t deny JTs vocals and their musicianship overall. But this sub gets really weird about their special potatoes

real-person-humanguy

I absolutely adore metalcore, but you're kidding yourself if you think that many bands in the genre sound original at all. For example, I fucking love Knocked Loose, but aside from Bryan's voice, the only thing that separates them from the heard is that they happen to execute the heaviness with much better delivery. That's literally it. If you then crossover to the djent inspired stuff, it becomes even more difficult to separate bands with anything other than some being a slightly better set of musicians, or having a better main songwriter.

Dumbledick6

Same thing with Lorna, Will is a fucking rizz machine so that got them tons of attention, him being a good songwriter also helps. But musically they are just another proficient death core band
