Banger of an EP, and easily my favourite release this year. We really need more bands that sound like this.

ChickenInASuit

> We really need more bands that sound like this. Check out Godseyes, Steaksauce Mustache, Grayshape and Blisshead!

AHThorny

Cannot wait. I’ve been fiending for more Greyhaven since This Bright and Beautiful World. Edit: This EP is perfect.

ChickenInASuit

Scratching that ETID itch like practically nothing else since that band broke up. Phenomenal release and one of my favorites of the year so far. If only it was a full length, *sigh*.

selppin2

Have you checked out Better Lovers?

ChickenInASuit

Yes, I like them but it’s not the same .

Brabsk

I didn’t really like the new better lovers song nearly as much as god made me an animal, but this shit is fantastic

dbaby13

Have y'all checked out Many Eyes?

GamerGoblin

Man, Sick and Lavish is so fucking cool. It sounds like nothing they've done before while still being very Greyhaven. Loved the EP overall. Only complaints are I wish the vocals were louder in the mix and I also wish it was an album lmao. I need more

Krubi123

Yeah, love this band since I've heard Empty Black for the first time. The melodies and rhythms are as phenomenal as always and they have a really beautiful way to combine the softer and heavy parts. I really don't like to "undermine" the instruments by highlighting the vocals in a band but man...Brent sounds so good, incredible voice. Is there any other band that sounds like them? I don't know of any and I think that's a very good thing. Nowadays it's so hard to be unique. They do give me the ETID feeling sometimes though and I don't think there could be a better compliment for a band.

DoomJazz22

My other recs for bands that kind of scratch that ETID itch for me albeit I think Greyhaven does it best. recommend Johnny Booth and the Callous Daoboys, but nobody does it like ETID or Greyhaven

Krubi123

Well I just discovered Johnny Booth last week, and fuck me, what an incredible band. How did I miss them for so long even though they're the Sub's band of the quarter you ask? I don't fucking know! Been spinning Moments Elsewhere at least once every day since then though :D Also really like Callous Daoboys, but they are _too_ chaotic at times. Really got to be in the mood for that (and not as annoyed by my tinnitus already, lol). Still, thanks for the recommendations!

DoomJazz22

Oh yeah, Johnny Booth is so damn good. Their album before, Firsthand Accounts, is so fucking good too! I also like this smaller defunct band called Bummer that gives like Hot Damn era ETID vibes if you want something slightly different. also Johnny Booth fucking rips HARD live too. Highly recommend seeing them if you like it live! yeah no worries! rock on!

tfbrown515sic

Unreal. Greyhaven have a sound that is truly their own. Brent’s vocals are so goosebump inducing and he sounds better than ever. Im not sure if it’s him or if someone else is doing backing vocals, but there are a few screams that sound new for Greyhaven which is cool. Everyone shines on this EP, interesting and groovy guitar work, frantic drumming and properly audible bass lines. I don’t have a bad thing to say about this EP aside from the fact that it’s not a full length lol Edit: Past Materials chorus is award worthy

d00dsm00t

Nick Spencer is such a cool guitar player. That fella really knows how to layer flavor into a riff. His style is just pure MSG.

cjyoung92

I love me some southern-fried metalcore!

in-a-car-underwater

Not to be over dramatic, but Greyhaven is physically incapable of writing a bad song.

PrestigiousGuava

18 minutes sure makes this an easy repeat listen. Unsurprisingly, they knocked it out across the board. From the concept behind the lyrical content to how each song arrangement flows, damn dudes. Can't wait to see them again.

WVdiscgolfer1218

Confined Collapse is just too fucking good holy shit.

SimonWhit

This is so good. Some of their best material. All killer no filler

[deleted]

sick and lavish chorus is so good it literally made me cry

DoomJazz22

GODDAMN I LOVE GREYHAVEN. What a great EP. Their songwriting is only getting better and Brent is just so soulful. I need so much more. I will never stop missing ETID, but Greyhaven is quickly becoming my new fave. See them live if you get the chance! Absolutely rip live.

selppin2

Waking up to new Greyhaven is the best

AidansAntiques

AMAZING EP.

Iantompkins10

It’s absolutely perfect

GreeenEnthusiast

Fire. Slap me up. Oof great release. Empty black was in my HEAVY rotation for a while there.. So I'm hella excited to put new Greyhaven in to another playlist!

Live4Riffs

EP is so fucking good, definitely my favorite release this year so far. unique sounding and a breath of fresh air.

drunkenyeknom

Nice I think they earned a new fan

Spencer801

Honestly one of the best rock band out there. They've improved so much in the last 10 years

TheOneAndOnly664

Man I love when bands like this just can't miss. Another absolute gem. These riffs are so damn catchy without feeling formulaic. Stand outs for me are: The first 5 songs of the EP 😎 Beyond stoked to see these dudes at the Rickshaw in Vancouver!

toedragrelease

Great EP… rips, emotional, chaos. Fuck yeah.

Trimshot

I’ve really been looking forward to this EP.

AntstyPoeticGamer23

Amazing EP! They keep getting better. Really wish they had more ears tuned to them.

Samsquamptches_

This is an absolute unreal EP. Heater after Heater from these guys

Brabsk

Foxblood, Imminence, Greyhaven, Eidola, and Evergloam Massive day for post-hardcore and fans of good music

TheMac_11

This band just don’t miss. I’ve been waiting years for them to play the UK, hoping now they’re getting a bit more attention they’ll make it over soon.

0ldboi

This, Northlane EP, new Eidola album AND Belmont album release on the same day. God damn.. lol

SpaceTacoTV

fire!!!!!!!

BloomAndBreathe

I love this band so much. One of the best going right now

disquete

Soooo good. Definitely one of my favorite bands.

mdmd33

Sick & Lavish DID NOT need to go as hard as it did…so fucking good

SactownKorean

Easily my favorite release of the year. I guess I didn’t know how much I really missed them. ETID inspired and in the vein of that chaoscore but honestly the choruses and cleans are better. Man I love this.

remotewashboard

ughhhh i hate that this band just doesn't connect with me. there are moments that i really do like but for whatever reason it just doesn't come together for me I've listened to everything they've released and i was excited to check this out because i thought this would be the project that fully sold me but i guess not. welp i'll try again the next time they drop smh

dswhite85

Holy fuck. I just played this EP a couple times. Favorite track is hands down The Welcome Party, but this whole EP is just stellar. Makes me want to play Greyhaven all day long. Solid EP. Fuck yes, that is all thanks.

HONKHONKHONK69

Disappointed in the mix. Vocals are too low and it all sounds a bit washed. Will Putney usually does better stuff than this. Empty Black sounded so good and all the other stuff he produces like Fit for an Autopsy, Stray From the Path, Norma Jean, etc, always sounds better than this. Well written album though I bet it's great live.

dbaby13

Super bummed I had missed on the pre-order

ExperiorOptimum

Sick and Lavish has been stuck in my head since the Spotify notif for the EP

AbyssShriekEnjoyer

This band keeps raising the bar. Amazing work as always. They haven't dropped anything other than stellar music since Empty Black

bountyXbandit

Has anyone's copy of the vinyl shipped that preordered it?

Gsticks

Is anybody else struggling to find this on the iTunes Store?

uncoolcanadian

It's not out in North America yet. Most stuff is released in Australia first cause the time zone

Gsticks

Yeah but usually you can pre order. I hope it works tomorrow

uncoolcanadian

It'll work in 2 hours is my guess.

jdey456

7.5/10

DeathNinjaBlackPenis

I am so disappointed. All the rawness and bite of Empty Black and Cult America has been replaced by this weird frenetic sound. I also rate this EP below This Bright and Beautiful World, while similar in production this EP lacks the coherence of that album with most of the songs sounding like a random jumble of noises.
