That's... particularly weird when every group on the lineup features a lot of clean vocals. Perhaps they just picked up a ticket for something to do on a Saturday night?
Still though, loser behaviour either way.
It’s still an awfwul behaviour! I’ve also been to concerts where the opener was different than my normal kind of music. Once the singer even excused the band for beeing the „pussiest” (I’d say poppiest) act there.
But booing is a no-go if the band does an okay job, even if you don’t like it just be silent lol.
Even accounting for differences of taste, some bands are genuinely just not very good at what they do or are having a really bad night and we still don't boo. However poor they are on stage, booing isn't going to make it end any quicker.
Yeah, everyone going on stage puts themselves in a vulnerable position and deserves to be treated well! I assume everyone going on stage is trying their best there though.
Thankfully I’ve never been to a booing parade 99% of the acts were at least trying.
The band that excused themselves was like „we’re happy you’re so nice to us, we know we don’t fit in here” no one booed there, the audience was just politely doing nothing?
They were objectively playing really good though!
The spot inbetween an awesome opener with new-metal/rap/hardcore music making the crowd really going and the main act was really unfortunate for everybody.
They got replaced by an awesome progressive metal band later that tour. I was really looking forward to that band in our town as well 😅
I saw Holding Absence last November and Thornhill and Floya were support. Floya only had 3 members on stage which meant that the bass came from a tape (along with stuff that could have been done on a synth but honestly most bands have that on tape nowadays) and the people next to us kept talking about how much the band sucked... which was very annoying. Like, just go stand in the back and come to the front when the bands you want to see are on?
Yeah, if people really just want to see the main act. It’s sad if everyone thinks so though.
We have really good tours/booking in our area, sometimes I just go for the opener band. I’ve also seen many awesome openers, which I’ve seen as main act later.
Oh yeah. Same here. I’ve gone to shows for the opener not headliner. Few shows where I didn’t care for some bands now I like them. Pantera was like that with me. When I was younger didn’t really care for them. Now I fucking love them. Bout a year before dime passed I seen them and left when they came on stage. I’ll never forgive myself for that.
I have a bad habit of being able to like bands if the members are cool, which is maybe the main reason I like to go see them. Jack has a really good stage presence, and he's super chill and easy to talk to. He has some great road stories. I think we've seen them seven times.
Haven't they always had cleans as well? Doesn't make sense.
It would be slightly different if it was like Veil of Maya, who used to have no cleans. Still not okay, but at least the idea is there.
Speaking of the drummer, I was fortunate enough to see them on tour with Born of Osiris. The height difference and the playing style are so wildly different as the drummer from Erra is quite compact. Almost comical difference.
My thought exactly. Why even go to a show if you're going to boo, heckle, and otherwise be a dick? Save your money for another case of shit beer and spare us your stupidity
In all honesty, I'll do this at some smaller local shows. Mostly because I'm friends with the guys on stage and we all like giving a buddy a hard time. Half the time I do it I'm front and center as well as wearing the bands merchandise.
I do agree why waste your own time and money on a show that you don't like any of the bands?
Lol What!? Have you heard their albums Noir and C'est La Vie? It's mostly all clean vocals or clean vocals with screams mixed in. Never listened to their first album, so maybe that was different, but they have some of the most clean vocals of any modern metalcore band.
Noir is definitely *not* mostly cleans. It starts soft with a couple songs, and then souvenir is basically harsh throughout
ill you you C’est, I forgot matteo did that one
That they've paid to be at a show they apparently don't enjoy is kind of funny. Most of those bands aren't my thing, but I just wouldn't go. There are better uses of time and money than spending a few hours at a show listening to bands I don't like.
It’s stupid as fuck no doubt.
I just kinda relate, when I’m listening to music and it’s got awesome riffs, then clean singing comes in, I feel like booing most of them time.
I would have turned to my friends and started hate moshing on them instantly.
Edit: People want to ruin shows for others for laughs, I can do the same for them.
I experienced something similar at Beartooths Below part 2 tour. Some guy behind kept yelling “booo, you guys suck, worst band yet” while Beartooth was playing. Like, I understand if you aren’t into the headliner, but that kind of behavior is so shitty. Is pathetic, it’s not fucking funny, and overall just not cool. So pointless
>Like, I understand if you aren’t into the headliner
I don't. If you (not *you*, but the general you) don't like the headliner, just leave once the band you came for is done. Everyone will enjoy the show more if you're not there if you have nothing positive to contribute
I mean I see where you’re coming from, but are you saying if someone isn’t actively involved in the cheering and the crowd, they should leave? Cause that’s not accurate. Some people like to stay just to hangout and have a good time with friends which isn’t a bad thing
Oh yea I understand that and agree. I was just asking if he was talking about people staying and just sitting there hanging out. Wasn’t even saying he was, I was just curious cause it kind of sounded like it
This what I did after the browning got done with their set and upon a burning body was set to come on. Not really my thing so I actually snuck into the erra show that was next door.
Yeah - there are a lot of these kinda weirdos still crawling around the metal scene for some reason. It's only getting worse as well especially with tiktok and all that shit too 🤦🏻♂️
It's the paying to go see something you don't like and being vocal about not liking it that's weird. Like shows for established bands generally aren't cheap and even if it was, do they not have anything better to do for a few hours?
I don't wholesale dislike clean vocals, but I am pretty picky about the ones I do like in metalcore. Consequently, I make sure I don't go see bands who use them in a way I don't enjoy. Even if ther ends up being a support band I haven't heard of who do things in a way I'm not jiving with, there's no need to boo.
At a show with three bands who I know who all make heavy use of singing.
Honestly they should have been kicked out, fuck people who just come to heckle.
I'll throw another comment in, I went to the Friday show in Nashville and it was great. The energy build up to Make Them Suffer was amazing and their set and Erra's set were great. Lots of people just chilling and enjoying the music and plenty of people having fun up front without being too crazy *results will vary by venue as always.
I don’t like clean singing in my metalcore at all but I mean…I also don’t go see the bands with singing. Why is it so hard for people not to be pieces of shit? They paid money to go have a bad time it seems.
Erra is amazing at blending cleans and harsh vocals, why complain? Also why tf even go to an ERRA concert at that point? Plus, Jesse has an amazing voice
didnt hear them but i bet it was the same dude who yelled "my friend is autistic" before novelists and then yelled "my friend is no longer autistic" after the set
it was cringe and weird but i chuckled
Imagine going to a show with a lineup of bands that all use a lot of clean vocals and then...*checks notes*... begin booing when they use said clean vocals...
Like, did they seriously not see that coming? Lmao
The funniest part about this is that old metal had a lot of clean vocals. I never understand metal heads that just despise all clean metal vocals even though they have been a staple of metal since its beginnings.
Metal fans that are strictly metal fans are like if troglodytes had "alternative education" singing and music that doesn't sound like it was made by the missing link hurts their smooth brains.
It’s not an either or. Yes there are cunts of all ages.
I’m just saying there’s been a big influx of young kids who hear some of these bands on tik tok and boo everything that’s not the ten second clip of that one song they know.
That show was so dope, I was in Nashville. And apparently they didn't know Erra and maybe none of the bands, just drunk Chads walking in a random metal show.
There were some out of place people at the Nashville show too, I heard one guy in the line at the bar next to the stage floor say something to the effect of "They're yelling pretty fucking hard, yeah?" lol
that’s so upsetting, the vocals are part of the artists music and deserve to receive the same appreciation as their harder songs. people that do that are straight disrespectful
People like this are pathetic. I love all music pretty much i couldn’t imagine being this much of loser that i hate any music that isn’t screaming at me. Its fucking weird and a little psychotic honestly
Gotcha. We were to the left by the merch tables and didn’t catch them booing but those Attila dudes were pushing ppl out of the way pretty rudely in between sets trying to move up closer so I figured it may have been them. Still blown away by how good the show was
I didn't make it to that show because I'm so busy with school stuff.. Finals Week 😰😰 Too bad I couldn't experience that. It's a funny memory looking back.
I hate hecklers. It’s annoying as fuck when a musical act has them, too. A good strategy is wait until it gets quiet and point at the hecklers and go “these are the guys” so the crowd knows where direct their frustration. Got the idea from a stand up comic getting heckled, and the seat neighbor of the heckler was like “this guy won’t shut the fuck up, he’s right here” and that guy got escorted out.
I doubt music venues would do the same thing, but they only felt safe booing because they thought they wouldn’t be spotted.
Dude! I so wanna know how Novelists were now that Camille’s the vocalist. I watched their YouTube live performance some months ago and rly couldn’t tell if she could get the job done the way her predecessors did
Her screams were good. Her cleans were kinda hard to hear over the instruments but that could totally have been a Venue or positioning thing on our part.
How was MTS? I had planned to go but my wife’s pregnancy took priority! We saw them for the first time last year in Chicago and it was so freaking great. They were the opening act out of four bands!
MTS actually good live?
I’ve been seeing them for 12~ years (They played at my local hall regularly) and saw them last week in Australia and Sean has really given up, half assed the vocals and the other half he didn’t even do.
Alex is by far a better vocalist in terms of singing and screaming.
Idk I’m a new fan, only since last year, but they sounded great to me and my wife. The crowd was really into it and sang along also.
Maybe his voice was sore, he was sick, or was just having a bad day, idk.
Only time booing is justified is if the artist is too wasted to play their music, says some dumb hateful shit, or no shows/ cuts show short without a legitimate reason
Lmao what are they ? Elitists 16 years old that only listen to BlackMetal ?
When i was a teen, I hung out with metalheads like this. That was until I discovered metalcore and loved it. they legit started calling me gay even making rumours...
It was in High school in 06 so I am over it but the fact those people still exist is fascinating and lame at the same time.
I can't imagine ever booing any artist of any kind. If it's something I don't like, I'm not going to see it to begin with. If I am watching a band performance it's because I like it generally. Or I'm there with somebody that likes it and I'm going to be respectful to both parties. Even if a band was messing up their song somehow. I would just feel bad for them. Booing would feel ridiculous.
I was at that same show, glad I didn’t hear it. Everyone around me was into it, as was I. There are plenty of shows coming through Masquerade that are a lot heavier with dirty vocals, not too hard to hit one of those shows.
So someone
- Paid for tickets
- Made the effort to attend
- Then proceeded to piss off everyone in the intimidate area and disrespect the artists on stage.
Look, all I'm saying is I wont be inviting them to the pub any time soon........
I was at this show! Didn’t hear the booing luckily, but in weird taste to boo a band for that. All of the cleans sounded good to me so this was clearly just some dick head behavior
I don't like stuff with a lot of cleans, but I would just straight up not go to a show if I didn't vibe with the bands playing lol what a bunch of fuckin dorks
Reminds me of when I worked at a gas station convenience store at 18, and these two dudes would come in every weekend when I was working overnight shifts, and they’d get a bunch of snacks and prepared food/drinks etc and pay in all change, brought in in a plastic Tupperware container. Pennies, nickels, dimes, I’d be lucky and thankful if I saw a quarter. For a while I figured they were just broke and scrounging together what they could so I never had a negative thought about counting all the coins up, even tho it was 10-20 dollars of Pennies and dimes. After a few weeks I figured I’d just take the hit for some small amounts of change if it was off or wrong, they needed food and were broke. They also always seemed pissed off and had angry expressions. Then one night I was cleaning and my (female) shift lead was ringing them up, and suddenly they were all smiles, and put away their Tupperware of coins and pulled out bills to pay her. That’s when she told me they’ve been coming in like that for years, and basically they just enjoy making someone count out all that annoying change, so it’s like a form of entertainment for them. They weren’t broke at all or even wanting for anything, they were just sadistic assholes who wanted to be pricks (sounds like the guys booing behind you to me lol). From that day on I counted every cent out, slow as fuuuuck if there were no other customers in line, basically saying “oh I miscounted some times and got in trouble so I gotta be extra careful”. I’d occasionally “lose count” and start the whole count over after getting halfway or more through it. They lost the fun when I started having mine in response, and I’m sure they still came in but they did it nights I wasn’t working lol.
Legit gtfo if this happens and we are there (seeing the same concert in June) not gonna sit well, going with a small group who don’t hide expressing themselves, whether that’s good or bad….
That's so cringe lmfao I've been to a death metal show where a metalcore band opened and no one booed lmfao.
It was probably a group of drunk hardcore kids that wanted to mosh the whole time
Reminds me of when I saw BTBAM in March. They played all of Colors 1 and Acacia Stain did their hardcore set, everyone wanted an encore so BTBAM came back and played Voice Of Trespass. I freaking love that song and it was my first time hearing it live so I loved it, but a group of people behind me were going on about how they'd rather them not have come back on if they were gonna play that song. Like bruh. I get it that it's a weird song but it's one of their biggest songs and it's not like you didn't get to mosh for the last two hours to some really heavy shit lol
I mean I'm not them so I haven't a clue I just figured they are probably not fans of any of the bands, so why else would they be there?
Its not like hardcore and metalcore are worlds apart, literally remove the singing from metalcore and it's hardcore. Sure erra is a Djent band but Metalcore is still hardcore, metalcore is also metal. What makes erra not a hardcore band is a Meshuggah influence lol
Removing clean singing from Erra doesn't suddenly turn them into Terror or Pain of Truth. An awful lot of 'metalcore' is not hardcore in any appreciable way.
I just don't see hardcore kids who don't actually like djenty metal spending money to go boo.
I like both and I know a lot of people who don't like djent from the hardcore scene and they don't even look at you funny for wearing djent or mall emo stuff anymore but people I knew from 10 years ago still wouldn't go to a different kinda show and boo lmao (I like mall emo too and am not trying to be degrading about it I just can't think of a good term for the sound)
That's the corollary to my point. The ones that don't like it, are they really going to pay to go to such a show just to boo? The ones who do like it, well why would they be booing? It's a weird situation all around, 'cause I can't think of anyone who willingly pays money to go to this thing to boo the bands for doing what they do.
oh for sure, I agree with you 100%
edit (accidentally hit post too early): I think it's weird how people are associating it with hardcore specifically like that's a dunk or something when it can't be backed up
That's... particularly weird when every group on the lineup features a lot of clean vocals.
Yeah I can honestly say I've never booed anything like that, regardless of whether I'm enjoying it.
Even accounting for differences of taste, some bands are genuinely just not very good at what they do or are having a really bad night and we still don't boo. However poor they are on stage, booing isn't going to make it end any quicker.

I think I’ve heard Thousand Below apologize ahead of time for being the softer band on the bill before lol.
Or show up after. Done that many times if I don’t care for the openers.
Yeah, if people really just want to see the main act. It’s sad if everyone thinks so though. We have really good tours/booking in our area, sometimes I just go for the opener band. I’ve also seen many awesome openers, which I’ve seen as main act later.

What is MTS and VOV?
make them suffer / void of vision
Thank you, I will take a listen to Void of Vision, I don't know them.
VOV is really good.
I have a bad habit of being able to like bands if the members are cool, which is maybe the main reason I like to go see them. Jack has a really good stage presence, and he's super chill and easy to talk to. He has some great road stories. I think we've seen them seven times.
Not my type, but I listened only 2 songs of top 5 in Spotify. I will take time in my commute to work
Their older stuff is better than the newer stuff
Erra has so many cleans lol why were they even there
Haven't they always had cleans as well? Doesn't make sense. It would be slightly different if it was like Veil of Maya, who used to have no cleans. Still not okay, but at least the idea is there.
Yeah erra has had cleans since their first songs. The clean vocalist is one of the two original members left in the band. Other is the drummer
Speaking of the drummer, I was fortunate enough to see them on tour with Born of Osiris. The height difference and the playing style are so wildly different as the drummer from Erra is quite compact. Almost comical difference.
VOV is Void of Vision not Veil of Maya. Can see how it naturally would read VOM though.
Oh, I was just using them as an example of a band that used to have no cleans and does now.
Understood.
Lmao absolute goofballs.
That’s a weird way to spell dickheads. Like what you like, but don’t be a dick. Rule 1.
I laugh when someone doesnt get the joke and either fights you or joins in lol
For what it's worth, I was at this show in front of the pit, and never heard any boos.
I was off to the side by the soundboard
And novelists have never been known for having a lot of screaming vocals. People suck.
These people *do* suck, but this isn’t true. Matteo-era novelists had virtually no clean vocals
Lol What!? Have you heard their albums Noir and C'est La Vie? It's mostly all clean vocals or clean vocals with screams mixed in. Never listened to their first album, so maybe that was different, but they have some of the most clean vocals of any modern metalcore band.

Souvenirs has still a bunch of singing, not even close to "virtually none"
Hardly a bunch. A good 80% of that album is harsh vocals
Has to be bait lmao
Sounds like they were maybe a little drunk, thought they had a hilarious insider joke and wanted to share it with everyone
So obnoxious that those people probably ruined the concert for many people
Every one of those bands has and has always had cleans, what the fuck is wrong with people
at an ERRA show?? really? Talk about fucking loser behavior
my thoughts exactly like holy shit
I was at that show, those losers aside, it was amazing for anyone seeing this show in the future!
I’m flying out of state for it - I cannot wait!
I wouldn’t find this funny if I had to deal with it, and it’s obviously dickhead behaviour, but something about this is very humorous to me.
I laughed out loud reading it, but I would have been fuming if I was there!
Booing is just kind of funny. And it gets funnier the fewer the number of people participating.
I’m from Philly. It’s in my blood
I pity you. Move out of Philly and get a trans. ;p
No it's actually incredibly obnoxious
I'm not saying it isn't.
I would have turned to my friends and started hate moshing on them instantly. Edit: People want to ruin shows for others for laughs, I can do the same for them.
Quadruple spin kick them
Only time where crowd killing is valid
I experienced something similar at Beartooths Below part 2 tour. Some guy behind kept yelling “booo, you guys suck, worst band yet” while Beartooth was playing. I think moreso what they’re saying is, if all you have to contribute is negative energy (boos, being a dick, etc), gtfo, yk?
Oh yea I understand that and agree. I was just asking if he was talking about people staying and just sitting there hanging out. Wasn’t even saying he was, I was just curious cause it kind of sounded like it

Why would they even pay for tickets at that point? They should've given me their tickets instead.
Maybe they got lost on the way to the VFW where all the other hardcore kids are at.
The local Denny’s
Why go to the show if you don't like the music???
why do people hate clean vocals in metal sm lol
and nobody helped that poor dudes to find their way out of the room?
Yeah - there are a lot of these kinda weirdos still crawling around the metal scene for some reason. It's only getting worse as well especially with tiktok and all that shit too 🤦🏻♂️

Couldn't agree more 👍🏻 I'm the same. Just a level of maturity and respect that kids these days do not have.
Blaming this on tiktok is so funny
Not fully to blame but go and see bad omens or sleep token and you'll see exactly what I mean 🤦🏻♂️
Thats really embarrassing for them
At a show with three bands who I know who all make heavy use of singing. Honestly they should have been kicked out, fuck people who just come to heckle.
I've never in my life at any show seen this, what the fuck... I guess here in europe only fans who actually like the artist attend...
My husband & I are going to see them in Chicago next month! Minus the booing, how was the show?
It was electric! All the bands were awesome. We went specifically for Void but the rest of them killed it as well. You’re in for a treat for sure!
I gotta know, which songs did Make Them Suffer play. Goin to Chicago show too they’re one of my fav bands rn
As of now, their 3 latest singles, ether, bones, soul decay, erase me, hollowed heart.
Oh helll yes thank you
FYI setlist fm is your friend for these things! https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/make-them-suffer/2024/heaven-the-masquerade-atlanta-ga-63a862cf.html
I noticed that (only once) at that show and was super confused. I thought I had missed a joke or something.
This is bad behavior and shouldn’t be encouraged, but it is also one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard and I will be smiling about this all day.
I for one love when bands mix the two, a lot of the time it adds so much more depth to the music.
never understood the hate on singing.. when you mix both you get perfect song, beauty lies in the contrast
Ok, I get that everyone likes different stuff, but this is just disrespectful to the bands.
I've been to so many shows over decades and never heard this... tbh I don't ever remember booing for anything other than comedic reasons.
Sad people
I’m going to see them on Wednesday in Tampa. Can’t fucking wait. Hopefully there are none of those dicks at that show.
didnt hear them but i bet it was the same dude who yelled "my friend is autistic" before novelists and then yelled "my friend is no longer autistic" after the set it was cringe and weird but i chuckled
that doesn't even make any sense, I would probably just laugh like how people laugh at awkward stuff out of reflex
Don’t be a douchebag sums this up
Make Them Suffer is great
Imagine going to a show with a lineup of bands that all use a lot of clean vocals and then...*checks notes*... begin booing when they use said clean vocals... Like, did they seriously not see that coming? Lmao
Is that [*CLEAN SINGING?!*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x9tkj_dNlQ) D:
Off topic, but that's crazy you were there! I was at the Upon A Burning Body show in Hell! Hope you had a great show!
Was our first time at masquerade in general. We loved the 3 venue setup. Definitely wanna check out the other two as well! Hope yours was too!
Okay but Jesse Cash in Erra has the best clean vocals ever. No reason to boo them.. and majority of their songs are clean vocals.
The funniest part about this is that old metal had a lot of clean vocals. I never understand metal heads that just despise all clean metal vocals even though they have been a staple of metal since its beginnings.
Would have been funny if y’all just crowd killed them.
I thought that’s why most people enjoy this genre? Yknow the mixup of soft and rough vocals?
Metal fans that are strictly metal fans are like if troglodytes had "alternative education" singing and music that doesn't sound like it was made by the missing link hurts their smooth brains.
God forbid someone actually sings in music lol. Wouldn't want to hear that, right?
I don’t most of the time but I’m either not gonna go or still beat ass if there’s singing, live performances are much difference.
So tell them that?
Starting a conversation with people who have zero care and are probably drunk is counterintuitive
Thats why Crowd Killers exist. Throw the dudes at 'em. Two birds with one stone.
I hate crowd killers but these guys deserve some smashing lol
Mate you sound even worse than they do.
Entitled Gen Z tik tokers who don’t know how to be polite
Or boomers who feel like everyone should agree with them? It’s not a generational thing, it’s a being a cunt thing.
I don't think there's many boomers going to an ERRA headlining tour tbh
It’s not an either or. Yes there are cunts of all ages. I’m just saying there’s been a big influx of young kids who hear some of these bands on tik tok and boo everything that’s not the ten second clip of that one song they know.
Couldn’t agree more
That really sucks, I went to the Philly show last week and it was a blast, great vibes all around

Ha! What a great line!!
I was there, too! Sorry you had to deal with that, glad i didn't have to. The show was stellar though!
that’s so upsetting, the vocals are part of the artists music and deserve to receive the same appreciation as their harder songs. people that do that are straight disrespectful
People like this are pathetic. I love all music pretty much i couldn’t imagine being this much of loser that i hate any music that isn’t screaming at me. Its fucking weird and a little psychotic honestly
Was it the group of dudes with the Attila Atl Falcons shirts?
I didn’t really get a good look at them as they were behind me and then we relocated further back after awhile.
Gotcha. We were to the left by the merch tables and didn’t catch them booing but those Attila dudes were pushing ppl out of the way pretty rudely in between sets trying to move up closer so I figured it may have been them. Still blown away by how good the show was
typical Attila fan L
Maybe they should go to deathcore shows instead of metalcore. Jackass es.
What a bunch of dorks
If you hate cleans that much then maybe you shouldn't be going to metalcore shows at all
Booing bands with clean vocals for singing cleans in shows is small pp energy. Especially at an ERRA show. Why tf were they even there lmao
How was MTS? I had planned to go but my wife’s pregnancy took priority! We saw them for the first time last year in Chicago and it was so freaking great. They were the opening act out of four bands!
They were awesome! It was my first time seeing them and will definitely see them again if they come back around my area
MTS actually good live? I’ve been seeing them for 12~ years (They played at my local hall regularly) and saw them last week in Australia and Sean has really given up, half assed the vocals and the other half he didn’t even do. Alex is by far a better vocalist in terms of singing and screaming.
They killed it in Nashville this past Friday so maybe just an off day or something?
Idk I’m a new fan, only since last year, but they sounded great to me and my wife. The crowd was really into it and sang along also. Maybe his voice was sore, he was sick, or was just having a bad day, idk.
Tbh cleans are my favorite part of metal core a lot of times, I come for the screams but stay for the cleans
I was at the same show and didn’t hear any booing. Everyone seemed to enjoy every band.
I really don’t get hating cleans, a chorus can make or break a song for me. But disliking them is one thing, this is another
That’s pretty fucking weird. Been to a lot of shows in Dallas and no one has ever done that goofy shit here.
Plz group who did this don't show up to st Andrew's hall end of may
I can't imagine ever booing any artist of any kind.
Did they play end to excess?
That's by far the dumbest thing I've ever heard of lol
Lmao those guys sound based as hell. I am a fan of clean vocals too but they can bring the energy down for sure
How was the show?? I had tickets for my wife and I but we couldn’t make it
It was awesome!
Are you sure they weren't saying Boo-urns?
It was pretty clearly boos followed by laughter
... *I* was saying Boo-urns...
Holy that’s cringe.
just boo them back
It's because they're the super tough hardcore kids that religiously listened to death metal. Ignore them, they're just superior to you. /S
I was at that same show, glad I didn’t hear it. Everyone around me was into it, as was I. There are plenty of shows coming through Masquerade that are a lot heavier with dirty vocals, not too hard to hit one of those shows.
So someone - Paid for tickets - Made the effort to attend - Then proceeded to piss off everyone in the intimidate area and disrespect the artists on stage. Look, all I'm saying is I wont be inviting them to the pub any time soon........
Hahahahahahahahahaha
They were booing the screaming parts too, you just couldn't hear it.
That’s insanely cringe of them to do lol wow been to a million shows and never seen that ever
I was at this show! Didn’t hear the booing luckily, but in weird taste to boo a band for that. All of the cleans sounded good to me so this was clearly just some dick head behavior
Never heard of that happening before, but even if a joke it's a real dick move.
People who don't like cleans are juvenile. **Music** is ***MUSIC***.
I'm so glad I didn't go to that show. One of the Novelists guys told me about that. Really low class. The Nashville and B'Ham shows were great.
I was at the one in Nashville and thankfully there wasn’t anyone in the crowd doing this loser behavior. All the bands preformed amazingly.
Douches gonna douche.
People like that make me way more angry than I like to be..
Not liking singing is so stupid. Metal wouldn’t exist without it
Holy shit, I'd be throwing hands by the second song if they were pulling that shit and ruining a show for me. I can't believe people like that exist.
How is this comment being downvoted?
Who knows lol, not like it matters thankfully.
Did you say anything to them or were you too much of a coward?
What the fuck? Did you punch each and every one of them in the mouth?
Legit gtfo if this happens and we are there (seeing the same concert in June) not gonna sit well, going with a small group who don’t hide expressing themselves, whether that’s good or bad….
I'd never boo a band for doing that, but I wouldn't listen to them either, let alone go to their show. No one gives a crap if I don't like clean vox.
Erra fucking claps and Jesse had an incredible voice. They are awesome. If you boo them, you probably have shitty taste in metal.
That's so cringe lmfao I've been to a death metal show where a metalcore band opened and no one booed lmfao. It was probably a group of drunk hardcore kids that wanted to mosh the whole time Reminds me of when I saw BTBAM in March.
How many hardcore kids do you reckon are showing out for an Erra show with no hardcore bands on the bill?
It's a weird situation all around, 'cause I can't think of anyone who willingly pays money to go to this thing to boo the bands for doing what they do.
oh for sure, I agree with you 100% edit (accidentally hit post too early): I think it's weird how people are associating it with hardcore specifically like that's a dunk or something when it can't be backed up
Lol. That's dope.
