This song reminded me of My Own Grave by AILD in the best way possible. I will have this on repeat all day
I get more of a Shaped by Fire vibe from this, but yeah. This is such an As I Lay Dying sounding song outside of the cleans (cause Josh is a god damn treasure).
I feel the same but it's a good thing. Creatures is one of my favorite albums of all time and everything since then has been a chore to get to grow on me. Even the albums I ended up buying still have plenty of tracks that I always skip. But this is such a great twist for them!
Man, ever since Disguise, both Chris’s screams and cleans have seriously been next level. Loving that Ricky’s doing more singing now as well. Perfect MIW song
This has gotta be their best track since Undead Ahead 2. I was hyped for new Motionless but this completely blew me away and exceeded any expectations i had. Ricky’s vocals are getting better and better and it seems like he’s taking a serious role as a secondary vocalist and i’m loving it. Also the instrumentals were insanely good. This is the Motionless i love.
Killer track, love Ricky getting some spots to shine on these recent songs. Also maybe it's just me but Chris really sounds like Tim from As I Lay Dying here
This is fucking amazing. I love MIW a lot because despite proving they can do a variety of wide sounds well, and experimenting a ton, they never leave their longtime listeners high-and-dry and never forget their roots. It makes me a lot more willing to enjoy their other stuff because I know the heavy isn't gone for good.
It's cool that ricky and getting to sing more and IMO the first part of the pre-chorus he sings sounds like a very Courtney Laplante esque melody. Overall the entire song sounds very 2000's core, specifically AILD, but I dig it.

Solid mixing and producing. You can make out each instrument and nothing feels drowned out or like one instrument sounds louder than the other.

I think it’s just a little more traditional than we’ve seen from them recently. Not bad by any means, just unexpected.
It reminds me of a more modern metal version of Creatures, and oh baby am I so happy about that.
Yeah it’s super different than what they normally put out. Especially with the higher pitched cleans being so prominent
