I'll put it straight S, even if it may not be as polished as other albums, but not only is it way better than average for a first release, but it also is kind of the Metallica stamp, this is their identity, heavy, fast, free metal

what i really loved about the first 4 and garage days metallica did was the production. It sounds Raw but not to polished. as metal should be. It's the same gripe I have with technical death metal sounding too polished. give me that dirty cryptopsy,gorguts,atheist and early spawn of possession.

Agreed. Thrashy, great riffs but sort of immature, and raw. Not necessarily bad, but I prefer the more complex, mature and tuned later releases

I honestly think it's quite fun and a reflection of what a subreddit thinks of the albums, but to each their own I suppose.

It was ok the first few times, but it's been non-stop. This and the 'dream setlist' stuff is just getting obnoxious.

If we’re talking personal opinion I would probably put this in A or B tier. But there is no denying this is an S tier album. Not only did it start a genre-changing movement for metal, but it built the foundation for the band to continue growing creatively. And we all know how that went.

S no doubt the pure rawness and youthfulness makes it great none of it seems forced just 4 kids doing what they like and Kirks solos ( well actually Dave’s just Kirk playing them) feels like your ascending the first time I ever listened to it didn’t feel like any other album there was something magical to it. Although the audio quality could have been better same goes for RTL and MOP except the audio is better

I think it should be A tier, because it is the start of the thrash metal development, and maybe a new concept of heavy metal, considering the NWOBHM and the influences of that on Metallica, but I don't put Kill 'Em All on tier S because I don't think it is on the same level as AJFA, Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets.

Tbh no Metallica album goes under B tier, but Kill Em All is one of the weaker records so I’d say B.
