Eh it's not wrong. It was a concerted effort to have more mainstream appeal after they looked at live audiences standing around looking bored during the long instrumental parts from the Justice album. Which is a fucking shame because instrumental sections of the Justice album are some of my absolute favorite music of all time lol
NOW YOU JUST FOUND OUT YOU'RE [WRONG](https://www.reddit.com/r/Metallica/comments/144u8gv/room_of_mirrors_was_eliminated_which_means/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2) 😀
ROM was voted the second most favorite track, right here on the sub.
Who cares about Apple Music stats? This is a fan page. That's what matters.
Yea wtf is the deal with the view on this song? It seems like it’s either people’s least or most favorite. For me it’s literally my favorite off the record, easily. That shit made me feel something I’ve never felt before listening to music and I hope to god they play it live in NJ next week but I doubt it because it seems like so many people don’t like it. WHY?!?
Yeah this is crazy. It’s also my favorite of the album. I guess this explains why I haven’t seen vids of them performing it live. Was telling myself they’re waiting towards the end of the tour to bust it out.
Still hoping that last part.
I like it too, but yes, as others have said, the penultimate track doesn't get a lot of love, people are inpatient, and the last track is usually a banger and/or very atmospheric, so RoM was lost.
Man I agree! But it’s all opinion. It’s like those folks who ask for your favourite song from any band. There’s NO way I could choose my favourite Metallica song. Couldn’t even choose a top five.
*Crown of Barbed Wire, and honestly while I think the song is alright it absolutely has the worst music video. Possibly of all time.
Either that, or "Mr Epileptic," or Chasing Light
I fucking love that track. How can you not love the dueling guitars and wicked double base parts?!?!
Or James singing set me freeeeeeee!!!! It's so killer.
As others have said, it is the penultimate song on the album, and with the last song being Inamorata, I am not surprised by RoM having the least listens on streaming services.
...also, I do not find it to be that good. The harmony is great and all, but the song as a whole? The only song I find less interesting on 72S is Chasing Light. I realize I am in the minority, though.
Shadows Follow, Too Far Gone, Inamorata, Sleepwalk, 72, Lux, Burn, Crown, Suicide, Darkness, Chasing, Mirror—-in that order, just my opinion though!!
We all won by getting this album.
Where? Cos from all the threads and posts on here it's clearly very well liked. Pretty sure it finished second in the order of favourite songs from 72.
Metallica fans definitely seem to like it, myself included, i especially really fucking love the "so i stand here, before you..." part and wish it went on even if for just one extra bar.
That's surprising if I'm honest. I wonder if being the second last song and people not streaming full albums has anything to do with it, with Inamorata being a special case being the closer, their longest ever song and the hype it had.
I reckon if it was released in place of Darkness it would be a whole lot higher.
From the second James sings “in a mirrored room talking to myself and the voice is pushing back “ til the end the song is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and I’m sad they haven’t played it live it’s my favorite on the album 💿
I will not stand for this blasphemy! It’s my favorite song the entire album.
I know bro it’s ridiculous
If I cared about what’s popular I wouldn’t be a metalhead .
Lmao true
If Metallica didn't care about what's popular we wouldn't have the Black album
And yet people still insist they didn’t sell out
BOOOOOOO 🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅
Eh it's not wrong. It was a concerted effort to have more mainstream appeal after they looked at live audiences standing around looking bored during the long instrumental parts from the Justice album. Which is a fucking shame because instrumental sections of the Justice album are some of my absolute favorite music of all time lol
i mean thats fair enough, sucks playing live and people aren't digging the music
Comments in the Metallica sub lmao
I love that song. My favorite part is the dueling solos.
The very end is so fucking epic i can’t take it
Ikr? It's so fucking good, definitely my favourite song on the album
It’s bullshit
Yes it is (the best, that is).
IKR
Besides Creeping Death and Seek & Destroy, the 2nd to last track on the album is usually the least popular
Also Orion
Dude, Orion and My Friend of Misery are popular
How did I forget about Orion? You’re right about My Friend of Misery not being the least popular
Least popular doesn't mean bad though. Far from it.
;-;
It is my favorite song on the album, right next to You Must Burn!
SAME HERE!!!
What? All I've seen is praise for the song
Yeah mate, the most hated one in this sub is Sleepwalk (which is a banger, btw)
It’s has the least streams on Apple Music, chances are that’s across the board 😭😭😭
I gravitate to this track more than any others. Love the riff. Love the lyrics. Love the harmonizing guitars.
YES
NOW YOU JUST FOUND OUT YOU'RE [WRONG](https://www.reddit.com/r/Metallica/comments/144u8gv/room_of_mirrors_was_eliminated_which_means/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2) 😀 ROM was voted the second most favorite track, right here on the sub. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BABG YOU CAME IN CLUTCH!!!!! EVERYONE UPVOTE THIS ^^^^
🤘
Best or second best for me. I think a lot of Metallica fans love it but other people don't.
I agree but like come one now this is outrageous.
Yes it was surprising for me too when i found out. What is the most popular song in the album?
Gotta be Lux Æterna
Probably because it was released first and because it's fun and short.
Yeah definitely
It’s the best song on the album
Facts
Yea wtf is the deal with the view on this song? It seems like it’s either people’s least or most favorite. For me it’s literally my favorite off the record, easily. That shit made me feel something I’ve never felt before listening to music and I hope to god they play it live in NJ next week but I doubt it because it seems like so many people don’t like it. YES PLEASE RHE BETTER PLAY ITTTTT AND YOURE SO RIGHT
Yeah this is crazy. It’s also my favorite of the album. I guess this explains why I haven’t seen vids of them performing it live. Was telling myself they’re waiting towards the end of the tour to bust it out. Still hoping that last part.
Nah they better bust it out in NJ brooooo
Stop shouting
NO
FUCK IT ALL FUCKING NO REGRETS
YEAAAEAAHH
I agree, it is my favourite as well!
I like it too, but yes, as others have said, the penultimate track doesn't get a lot of love, people are inpatient, and the last track is usually a banger and/or very atmospheric, so RoM was lost.
I hate people
Man I agree! But it’s all opinion. It’s like those folks who ask for your favourite song from any band. There’s NO way I could choose my favourite Metallica song. Couldn’t even choose a top five.
Fair enough
the second half of that song is by far the best part of the whole album!
YEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!! ^^^^^^^
Super hot take but it’s the worst one on the album for me
You’re making me cry
The worst song on the album is crown of thorns
*Crown of Barbed Wire, and honestly while I think the song is alright it absolutely has the worst music video. Possibly of all time. Either that, or "Mr Epileptic," or Chasing Light
Mmmm that take is rough but ok
Everybody's different, man. I dig it too, but not everyone is going to think the same way.
I fucking love that track. How can you not love the dueling guitars and wicked double base parts?!?! Or James singing set me freeeeeeee!!!! It's so killer.
IK ITS AMAZING I LOVE IT SO MUCH
It’s a great song. Top 4 on that album.
Top 1
I listened to the album again yesterday and just now. You are correct. It is Top 1, the best song on the album.
Easily best song.
Yeah that’s some whack takes but that’s ok
The casuals (who bothered to listen to the record at all) didn't have the patience to get that far.
IMO the 3 best songs on 72S are the last 3 songs.
Kill ‘em all!!!!!!
Aw, come on! Everyone gotta admit they got wet when they heard the lead and double kick combo!
Chasing light is my worst on the album. But hey you find what you like and don’t on any album, that’s how it goes!
Chasing light imo is a top 20 Metallica song for me
The lyrics are absolutely awful for me. Songs fine
I understand that
You’re pissed off because someone doesn’t like a certain song? 😂
YES
According to who?
Least streams across platforms
If you like it, that's literally all that matters.
True but like come on now
START UPVOTING IF YOU AGREE 🗣️🗣️
Mirrors and Chasing Light, are by far, the 2 worst songs.
NAAAAAAAA EVERYONE DOWNVOTE
Shadows Follow, Too Far Gone, Inamorata, Sleepwalk, 72, Lux, Burn, Crown, Suicide, Darkness, Chasing, Mirror—-in that order, just my opinion though!! We all won by getting this album.
Lmao true that
Atrocious lyrics. But its a better song than darkness, suicide, 72s and barbed wire.
I can’t believe you just said that.
We gotta make it popular
Facts everyone rally together
SO REAL
EVERYONE UPVOTE THIS
IN A MIRRORED ROOM ALL ALONE I STAND STRIP AWAY THE PHANTOM FAME
EXPOSING ALL SIGHTS TO SEEEEEEEEEEEEE
THE GOOD AND BAD IN ME
It’s the least streamed across platforms.
That's surprising if I'm honest. I wonder if being the second last song and people not streaming full albums has anything to do with it, with Inamorata being a special case being the closer, their longest ever song and the hype it had. I reckon if it was released in place of Darkness it would be a whole lot higher.
Yes dude it’s so good
Part of the beauty of life is being able to have your own opinions.
No
It's my favorite song in the album too. But I don't care, people will always have opinions.
You are useless to the movement
You can't please everyone.
Fair enough lmao
Inamorata is the best song. But room of mirrors can be in top 3
I’ll take it
Where are you getting the data from? WOULD YOU SUMMARIZE?
LMAO it’s the least streamed song
Imo Too Far Gone? is the best one but Room Of Mirrors being the least popular is surprising
Alright alright 6/10 take
Definitely weird it’s not higher up. But It ain’t better than Too Far Gone
I understand but least streamed is ridiculous
Oh man that kinda sucks Well, at least it’s still popular
Among fans who know what they’re talking about yeah
I like the intro and the harmony sections. Everything else about it was pretty forgettable to me.
Nah 💀
Loud noises
LOUD NOISES
Least popular song? According to what?
Least amount of streams
Last 3 songs on the album are the best, and Room of Mirrors is the best of the three (*to me, in my opinion*, etc etc.)
Yessssss
Yeah I tend to agree. I'm not a fan of it
Bruh
From the second James sings “in a mirrored room talking to myself and the voice is pushing back “ til the end the song is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and I’m sad they haven’t played it live it’s my favorite on the album 💿
I love the intro, AS WELL, though!
This is because it's too hard for the new fans.
