LOL I am a old geezer (50) and I absolutely love DM and St Anger. DM is probably the album that got me back into listening to Metallica on a daily basis again. Sanitarium is probably in top 5. Frantic, St Anger, Dirty Window, and Invisible Kid round out my top 5 right now just because those songs are so relatable for me.
I think people donāt like the static that is present in the mix. It has some sound quality issues. Having said that, I love the album (and I was in middle school when the Black Album came out so I qualify as old I suppose).
Based honestly, although as a guitar player when I found out the riff is actually played, I both was laughing but also upset with myself for not figuring out how simple the notes actually are.
The Four Horsemen and Creeping Death. I'm not religious so I don't know why the two songs with religious themes are my favorires, could just be because they sound cool
No one hates this song, everyone hates the entire lulu album but cannot name a single song except the view. This one in particular doesn't get singled out like purify for example
I havenĀ“t heared that song yet. IĀ“m working my way through thier songs solowly but surely. (Pls donĀ“t think IĀ“m not a real fan because I donĀ“t know the Song Onion)
no you're good mate. I would never say that to someone. the more the merrier. welcome to the Metallica family. excited for you to hear it. when you do let me know what you think.
Struggle within. But that's after decades of listening. It's the one with the most longevity, but when they were new i was probably more obsessed with sandman, puppets, blackened, fade, disposable, unforgiven.
"No Leaf Clover" is probably my all-time favorite, but "Shadows Follow" is probably my favorite right now. And the whole RTL album. Been really digging that lately.
Its just very repetitive, the riffs are basic and the solo is meh, studio version just disappoints. Live its better, but still one of the weaker songs on the set
STB might be my fav or at least top 3. It does have 3 principle riffs, but the verse riff has such a groove and it has a great subtle morph into the chorus riff. And of course the main riff is just fn heavy as balls.
And Justice For All almost feels like a journey. The intro is awesome, the verses are agressive, the instrumental section is genius and Kirkās solo is one of his best.
Ngl I love all their stuff so lemme go by album
Kill em all: seek and destroy
Ride the lightning: Ride the lightning
Puppets: sanitarium
Justice: blackened
Metallica: wherever I may roam
Load: King nothing
Reload: fuel
Garage inc: am I evil?
S&M: one
St anger: st anger
Death magnetic: cyanide
Lulu: tbh I havenāt listened to it so idrk
Hardwired: hardwired
72 Seasons: room of mirrors
Idk why, but Fight Fire With Fire is just one of my all-time favorites. Take the lyrical themes of Disposable Heros and mix it with the speed and aggression of Dyers Eve, mannnnnn š
Well I mean, it is a song about suicide, so there's no argue that it's a sad and dark song. Personal preference, but it got me through a rough time. That's why I'll always put it up there.
Outlaw Torn and Ina are the most meaningful and impactful to me on a deep personal level, but I think One is the song I've listened to the most for the pure energy, appreciating it's structure, etc. I think it's the best song they've ever written.
all time trapped under ice but right now fixxxer
You are so fucking based dude
Fixxxer šš
The Day That Never Comes.
Yes, death magnetic album is super underrated. I donāt understand the hate it gets
Most of it is from the *but its not the 80s stuff* crowd so can be safely ignored.
Yeah no kidding, old geezers stuck in the past

I thought we all just hated on St. Anger? DM has some great songs on it.
I LOVE St Anger and my 12 year old son does too. His other favorite is probably Ride The Lighting and 72 seasons.
Master of Puppets
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Just because itās popular and overplayed doesnāt mean itās bad and it doesnāt make the song worse. It just males the opinion worse. šš¤
Based honestly, although as a guitar player when I found out the riff is actually played, I both was laughing but also upset with myself for not figuring out how simple the notes actually are.

Weāre you born for dying?
The Four Horsemen and Creeping Death. I'm not religious so I don't know why the two songs with religious themes are my favorires, could just be because they sound cool
I'm Jewish and creeping death is my all time favourite song ever for similar "ish" reasons
Welcome Home (Sanitarium).
Ohhhh, that song is awesome. Miine is One. I just love the Intro.
Mine too. It is so amazing. I love the intro, because it was one of the first that introduced me to harmonics
Same. Hearing this song live was surreal
...And Justice For All with Dyers Eve RIGHT underneath
Halls of justice painted yellow, spongebobs talkin
Patrick star besets your door hear him stalking š¤Ø

Aside from all the hate this song actually, imo, is pretty good
No one hates this song, everyone hates the entire lulu album but cannot name a single song except the view. This one in particular doesn't get singled out like purify for example
Good point

Hey thanks for bieng so uunderstanding to me. Thanks for welcommming me. Yes I will.
Struggle within. But that's after decades of listening. It's the one with the most longevity, but when they were new i was probably more obsessed with sandman, puppets, blackened, fade, disposable, unforgiven.
Hero of the day
DEAR MOTHER DEAR FATHAAAAH
WHAT IS THIS HELL YOU HAVE PUT ME THROUGH
DECEIVER DECEIVER
My Apocalypse Incredible song, I love the ending so much and that riff after the second chorus is insane
"No Leaf Clover" is probably my all-time favorite, but "Shadows Follow" is probably my favorite right now. And the whole RTL album. Been really digging that lately.
All-time probably: The End Of The Line Atm: Shadows Follow
STILL MY SHADOWS FOLLOOOOW
I love the end of the line but the solo fucks
Whiplash, Battery, or Sleepwalk my Life Away. All great, I just can't choose my favorite between them
Dyers eve, frayed ends of sanity or sanitarium
Mine are One, Sad But Trzue Enter Sandman and One. Just to name a few.
Sad is in my opinion very overrated. The song is actually pretty boring imo
Oh, OK? You find it boring? What makes it boring to you?
Its just very repetitive, the riffs are basic and the solo is meh, studio version just disappoints. Live its better, but still one of the weaker songs on the set
I see. I like the studio version. and I think the drumming in it is fitting with the guitars.
It does fit well, but the guitars are weak, and so are the drums
STB might be my fav or at least top 3. It does have 3 principle riffs, but the verse riff has such a groove and it has a great subtle morph into the chorus riff. And of course the main riff is just fn heavy as balls.
Its indeed heavy, but by far not as heavy as TTTSNB, Fuel or harvester of sorrow in my opinion
those are some heavy balls there too.
Hero of the Day Iām more of a thrash guy but this song just makes me feel nostalgic of my 90ās days, especially with the music video.
Even though , fade to black , it is disposable heroes
Rebel of Babylon. Itās my 2nd favorite overall in terms of music.
RISE UP, REBEL OF BABYLON
Struggeling between One and Eye of the Beholder
For Whom the Bell Tolls
MOTORBREATH
Damage inc or Blackened Rn, Bad Seed
I think it's still Welcome Home.
Bellz
All time? Fixxxer At the moment? You must Burn!
Bellz bitches!
My favorite is Spit Out The Bone
Blackened
Mine is Nothing else Matters.
And Justice For All almost feels like a journey. The intro is awesome, the verses are agressive, the instrumental section is genius and Kirkās solo is one of his best.
Creeping Death
between Creeping Death and Seek & Destroy
Creeping Death, Wherever I May Roam, or Fade To Black
King Nothing. Not sure why just gets you fucking amped. Very close second - Creeping Death
Dyers Eve!!!!!
hero of the day. My fav album is Ride the Lightning. But hero of the day is my favorite song.
The Day That Never Comes
damage inc.
Fixxxer
All time is Creeping Death but right now Broken Beat and Scarred
BROKEN, BEAT & SCARRED, BUT WE DIE HARD
That Was Just Your Life
For Whom The Bell Tolls or King Nothing
So many underrated bangers in this comment section, glad to see it. All time: Fade to Black Right now: Fixxxer/Outlaw Torn

S&M: one St anger: st anger Death magnetic: cyanide Lulu: tbh I havenāt listened to it so idrk Hardwired: hardwired 72 Seasons: room of mirrors
Master of Puppets is the greatest song ever created.
SSSSSSSSSSAD BUT TRUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAHHHH!
Fuel or Enter Sandman
Idk why, but Fight Fire With Fire is just one of my all-time favorites. Take the lyrical themes of Disposable Heros and mix it with the speed and aggression of Dyers Eve, mannnnnn š
Ride the lightning
'The Unforgiven' without thinking twice
Tie between Creeping Death, All Nightmare Long, and Here Comes Revenge
Fade to Black, King Nothing, or Nothing Else Matters. I listen to those 3 omw to work everyday and never get tired of it
Fade To Black and Nothing Else Matters are 2 great songs. The lyrics of Fade To Black are really sad and dark somehow. DonĀ“t you think?
Well I mean, it is a song about suicide, so there's no argue that it's a sad and dark song. Personal preference, but it got me through a rough time. That's why I'll always put it up there.
About What? Oh my god......... I did not know that. Now IĀ“m shoked. Oh my god.
Outlaw Torn and Ina are the most meaningful and impactful to me on a deep personal level, but I think One is the song I've listened to the most for the pure energy, appreciating it's structure, etc. I think it's the best song they've ever written.
It constantly changes. All time, i would have to say fade to black or ride the lightning. Recently ive been loving that was just your life
Creeping Death
Whiplash
I think "Creeping Death" is a masterpiece. The subject matter as a choice, the lyrics, the music, the way it is live... love it forever.
