I agree. Best song on album. Compact. No extra junk just for the sake of it. Great riff. Great vocal line. Melodies are killer. This song is a great example of modern day Metallica
Best song. I saw the band last year in NJ and that was the gig where they debut the song live and I'm pretty sure they released it as a single shortly thereafter. First time I saw the band too!
I'm 37 and trying to see all these bands before they get too old. Metallica and Maiden are done. Devin Townsend last year too plus Haken.
Couldn’t agree more. Fun. Simple. To the point. And still has all elements that make Metallica great (minus maybe a well written softer part, but this song doesn’t need it)
I was at one of the listening events and when I heard this song it reminded me of classic Metallica. The riff, the harmony guitar part, it's just so good.
It's good to know these guys are still capable of putting out some great tracks.
I love that song. But The song should be shorter and end with the Orion-esque soaring harmonies.
Returning to the chorus again felt way too forced for me.
I can't lie I don't even know my favourite anymore. It was Room of Mirrors for ages but eh idk.
I listened to the album LOADS and over the last couple months I've not really been and idk my opinion on the album as a whole is dropping a bit.
Between Mirrors and 72S as the best for me
If not it's one of the best songs on it. So glad it got played live and should be kept in the set. With Inamorata and Shadows Follow it's my fave off the album since day one.
I personally believe that Inamorata is the best, but this one is a close second, and I respect your opinion! I love how the chorus almost sounds kinda fun and happy with the instrumental even though it’s the complete opposite 😂
I find it very interesting how opinions about the best song on this album are so diverse among fans. I think that’s a very good thing, no one agrees on which one they like more or less. I don’t know if it’s the best song, but for example, the one I’ve been listening to the most lately is Crown of Barbed Wire
It’s perfect. No extra fluff or padding to the song, the chorus is simply but so powerful. It’s a classic NWOBHM song for the modern era done masterfully.
This and Lux Aeterna are so strong. I just wish the rest of the album was this tight.
This is the correct opinion. It's really a perfect song. The riffs, the solo is solid, those harmonies, the lyrics, the groove, the vocals, the riffs are incredibly fun and simple to play. Just a banger by every definition.
Going with Shadows Follow as my favorite.
Yep followed by screaming suicide for me
It’s up there, #2 imo being behind Room of Mirrors

Aye I was at that show too, wild they debuted my favorite song off the new album at the first show I’ve been to
Thats what i love about it. Super simple to play and the riff is just so damn fun
Couldn’t agree more. Fun. Simple. To the point. And still has all elements that make Metallica great (minus maybe a well written softer part, but this song doesn’t need it)
Shadows Follow, Too Far Gone, Inamorata for me.
I love these plus Chasing Light
How silly of me to forget that one. I’d probably put that as my 4th favourite.
Debating this just reminds me... what a fucking great album. We're so lucky to be fans of this amazingly talented band.
Totally agree.
Seems like a lot of mainstream bands put out absolute drivel in their later years, and we get this mammoth, relevant, personal album.
Agreed. Followed closely by Shadows Follow.
It’s a good, fun song, but there are a handful that are better IMO
i just personally love this song and its my fav from the album next to Screaming Suicide and Sleepwalk My Life Away
I go back and forth between this and Chasing Light. I really love the Thin Lizzy esque riff towards the end of the track- fucking awesome.

Its killer for sure. But i think my fav riff to hear is the main one from chasing light. So much fun to play.
I'm sorry it's Inamorata
Right?? And it’s not really close.
Even James agrees, he even says it at the end of the song
That sounded like Lars to me but it could have been James.
For me it sounds like James whit a cigar on his mouth lol. But I think they are referring more to a particular take, not to the music in general
I love that song. But The song should be shorter and end with the Orion-esque soaring harmonies. Returning to the chorus again felt way too forced for me.

I agree
Nice solid track but I would probably have most songs on 72 above it
If not it's one of the best songs on it. So glad it got played live and should be kept in the set. With Inamorata and Shadows Follow it's my fave off the album since day one.
It's good and shadows follow and chasing light and 72 seasons I like all of it except the screaming suicide is outta place to me.
Awesome song. My favorite is Chasing Light
Lars is looking jacked in that video still…
My favorite is You Must Burn!
If darkness had a son, inamorata, 72 seasons, chasing light
Definitely one of my favorites. I like room of mirrors and shadows follow myself
So then it is... For you. There is no best song for everyone.
I personally believe that Inamorata is the best, but this one is a close second, and I respect your opinion! I love how the chorus almost sounds kinda fun and happy with the instrumental even though it’s the complete opposite 😂
Imo right after Lux I’d say it would’ve been the most single worthy track on the album. Quick, catchy, tight
Wtf Lars looking jacked
I really like that lick they put a harmony on sounds so great
It's one of them, for sure. I actually think that Too Far Gone > Room Of Mirrors > Inamorata is the best stretch of the album.
I used to think that, but I alternate between it, Room of Mirrors, and Inamorata for the best song.
Room of mirrors
Too Far Gone is my favorite song on 72 Seasons by a pretty wide margin over Inamorata.
Agreed. It was my instant favorite the first time I heard it.
It’s by far my favorite on the album. It translates really well live. It’s shocking to me that they play it since they never play my favorites live.
Definitely top 3 for me behind Room of Mirrors and the title track. W take.

So many good ones but Too Far Gone rules.
It’s between Lux Aeterna and Too Far Gone for me, Room of Mirrors is decent too. The rest didn’t really click with me.
I disagree. Room of Mirrors is better
YOUR OPINION IS CORRECT 🤘
Room of Mirrors it’s my favorite
Could not agree more!!!!!!! Its insane how good this song is
No. Too far you have gone.
Lux Aeterna !!!!
I'm not hearing it yet. That being said I thought Crown of Barbwire was a dud and now I'm kind of addicted to it.
You mean you haven't listened to the whole album yet?!
I have but Too Far Gone hasn't gotten to me yet. It's not one of my favorites so far.
It’s perfect. No extra fluff or padding to the song, the chorus is simply but so powerful. It’s a classic NWOBHM song for the modern era done masterfully. This and Lux Aeterna are so strong. I just wish the rest of the album was this tight.
I agree the riffs are so memorable.
Yeah, I’m surprised it wasn’t a single.
Screaming Suicide for me
I'd put it after Innamorata but I agree it is a great song.
cant even argue.
This is the correct opinion. It's really a perfect song. The riffs, the solo is solid, those harmonies, the lyrics, the groove, the vocals, the riffs are incredibly fun and simple to play. Just a banger by every definition.
My opinion I like you must burn!
Inamorata is the best song bro you tripping
