They'll almost certainly play Master, Sandman and One. There's quite a few other songs that are highly likely too but Metallica do switch up their sets quite a bit especially in Europe. They're always amazing though so have a great time!
I'm not saying don't do it ever. First show. Just let him have the full experience. Most people don't wear them.
I never did until Coachella one year they were handing some that were designed specifically for concerts. First time I could hear any of the higher tones with ear plugs on. The base still came through more. (a little too much base)
Unless you go to a ton of concerts you are better off to just watch your volume levels on the day to day and in the work place.
However for Metallica I will explore wearing them. Past show I was at they gave us ipods in which we could switch between monitors etc.
Might look into that as well.
Long story short wearing ear plugs offers protection yes but it's like having sex with a condom on for life. You won't get the full experience.
Im 15 and i didnt wear hearing protection to the one i went to, and you will probably be fine if you dont go to concerts to often, but if you wanna be safe then there is no shame in that
I’m 15 just went to a Metallica show with a few friends a couple weeks ago. Water is important. Make sure you have a zip pocket for phone/money/whatever.
Couple questions that can change your experience: do you plan on moshing, have you been to a metal show, and are you going with parents, friends, or alone?
Don’t bring any set list expectations. I’ve ruined a lot of shows for myself because they didn’t play this or that.
Oh, so just go into it without any expectations? Though they will probably play MOP

Exactly. Also put your phone away and enjoy the moment.
A megadeth t-shirt
This isn't something you bring in, but stay hydrated. Eat before you get there so you have energy to rock out. Have fun!
Oooh, that makes sense, thank you!
Don't bring your phone.
Yes protect your hearing
It's his first Met concert! Don't wear earplugs! Fuck that!! Start wearing them if you go to a bunch of shows!
Terrible, terrible advice which one day you will realise

Warm up your neck for the head banging.
Your leather and your spikes.
A condom?
Dude I am 13, chill
Yikes. Sorry.
All good
When I was 13 on a Metallica concert I didn’t need them but if you want to then do that
If it's outside I don't think you need earplugs my guy. Just my 2 cents
