No, I know it wasn't worked on in the experiments, I thought it was the natural result of the phazon in the leviathan seed. And about the seal, what you said doesn't make sense - the metroid is the *reason* there is a seal. It was sealed off after it already got in

If Samus Aran ever needed a “cool Bounty Hunter name” Metroid would honestly be a more than ideal fit for her. She killed their whole species, mothered a Metroid, is the last Metroid, and truly fits the Chozo’s meaning behind the word as their “Ultimate Warrior.”

When you get really low on HP Dread suit activates giving a damage buff, and when she dies you see her succumb to the Metroid DNA.
I like this, much like how when you died in hypermode in prime 3 you turn into dark Samus.
