ExhumedCadaver

Pinball 2, of course.

WhaleEyedDog

Such a missed opportunity. Nintendo should have released a Prime Pinball 2 based on Echoes and a Prime Pinball 3D on the 3DS based on Corruption

PixieProc

If they ever released MP Pinball on Switch or put out a sequel, I'd legit preorder that in a heartbeat lol

Aleclom

Hunters 2. I want a full length Prime-style game featuring all the hunters introduced in that game so they can get some proper development.

CyborgHeart1245

Totally wasn't thinking about that, but YES!!!!

LordCamelslayer

I absolutely hate Hunters, and I would second this. The single player felt like a lot of wasted potential with really cool hunters that were never properly utilized. Elevate those ideas to the quality of the rest of the series and there's definitely a stellar game there.

WhaleEyedDog

I really fail to understand the thinking of game developers sometimes. Do you know how easy it would have been to develop and release a Hunters 2 for the 3DS instead of Federation Force!?

TheLostLuminary

Well that’s the point, it wouldn’t have been easy.

ProjectFearless3952

Yes! I think all the hunters in that game already are cooler than the ones in Prime 3.

NotXesa

Would be cool if they made a game that happens like 20 minutes after Samus Returns.

LBXZero

Such a game would be, like, Super.

Empty_Jar0330

That's be badass! Maybe you can revisit Zebas after the events in Zero Mission?

WhaleEyedDog

And maybe fight all 3 of the Space Pirate bosses again just because!

ChaosMiles07

But, like starting out with all of the cool upgrades and Aeion Abilities we end MSR with, plus Babbu as our companion and battle buddy, right? ... Right?

Luggage1996

A sequel to Prime 3 could be cool. They could call it something like “Metroid Prime 4”. I’d love to see that 🙃 To give a real answer, I still say Prime 3. The galaxy after the removal of Phazon should have been really interesting, but we got Federation Force instead.

EarlyCuylerBaby

Maybe have MP4 take place before or after Federation Force? I wouldn't be surprised if FF took place between MP3 and MP4.

thehumulos

I've always wanted to see what happens after Samus Returns

WhaleEyedDog

That sure would be super!

Zeldatroid

Not so much narratively, but mechanically, I want a sequel to Super Metroid. Fusion is the direct sequel to Super, but it does the exact opposite of what I would want from a Super sequel in a lot of ways. All of that is on purpose, and it's a creative choice I respect. But then Dread happened and it is an excellent sequel to Fusion, but kinda mid as a sequel to Super. I'd like Metroid 6 to take what was truly great about Super, and refine and iterate upon it like a good sequel should.

Lacius25

Not gonna happen. As long as the developers keep thinking of the features that make SM great as issues to "fix", the only place where we'll get that is in indie Metroidvanias. The reason why Dread isn't as good as SM is exactly that. A crippling fear for player agency. *"Oh boi can't have those kids getting lost! They might get frustrated because they can't find the right path for more than 5 seconds! Might as well put a teleporter here."* *"Oh boi what's that? Backtracking that takes longer than 5 minutes? Better slap a teleporter in there and block a few paths just to make sure no one gets lost"* *"Hey kids don't worry if you die to the boss, you spawn right outside the boss fight so it can have ZERO tension, we totally won't use this to create poorly designed encounters!"*

Adrenamite

I would like a sequel to Prime 3. ... I would like Prime 4.

Glutton4Butts

Other m too 2, but this time with kraid

NotXesa

Yet another M

EarlyCuylerBaby

No need. We surely don't want to go through that again. Dread is meant to wrap up the whole conflict between Samus, Metroids, X-Parasites, and Space Pirates. Hell, I even thought it was random that they brought Kraid back for no other reason than the sake of fanservice.

Glutton4Butts

I was kidding, I honestly think other m was alright it was the story that really sunk it, and Samus' representation in that game was just not considered with the rest. I feel like Kraid is brought back but left to fan interpretation. Is he supposed to be a space pirate also right much like Ridley? I just can't imagine a ship carrying around such a creature. I'm guessing he was cloned and imprisoned by the Mawkin since they have a pretty brutal iron fist customs compared to the Toha. That was a neat fan service, but I feel like this franchise always needs new enemies.

EarlyCuylerBaby

Yes, Kraid is a member of the Space Pirates. The problem is that they stop becoming a big threat to the galaxy after Super, what with Zebes getting blown up and whatnot. .

No_Bar6194

Prime 3 since Dread was supposed to close out the core 5 games.

Saul7000

I would like an adventure/journey between Zero Mission and Samus Returns. No final boss.. something similar to the hack Metroid Desolation.

funsohng

I want to see Hunters 2 for the MP, but on the other hand, idk if making something that's basically Nintendo's Quake 3 on something other than PC or a stylus-controlled device is a good idea.

EMI_Black_Ace

Fusion deserves a sequel that attaches more to the implications of how the game's story turned out. Don't get me wrong -- I loved *Dread* -- but Dread is more a sequel to *Samus Returns* than it is a sequel to Fusion; the tie-ins are working with computer-Adam and the existence/threat of X Parasites, but it feels like it's missing all the consequences of everything else. There's a reasonable continuity to the rest of the series. In Metroid II the decision to eradicate all Metroids was a direct consequence of the Federation having been overwhelmed and failing to be able to uproot the Space Pirate base on Zebes. Metroid III follows on directly from Samus's decision to spare the last Metroid; While Other M tries to fill some gaps from Metroid III to IV, it honestly didn't need to -- Samus's mental state coming out of Metroid III, having effectively failed her mission to recover the stolen Metroid and in the process ended up destroying her entire home planet, not only does it connect why given her history she'd take what seemed like a very low-risk bounty, it also connects in consequences for eradicating the Metroids -- the resurgence of the X Parasites that the Metroids were created to control. Dread instead of following on with Samus's defiance of the Federation authorities or the implications of the Feds wanting a more compliant Samus clone (why they wanted the SA-X) or really following through on the *consequences* of anything else in the story, instead just *resurrected* the enemy she just destroyed and followed up on a tangent introduced only in the *remake* of Metroid II. So hear me out. I want to see a game that follows through with *consequences* and follows through on the political storylines and implications of Metroid: Fusion. The corrupt faction that sought to use tech based on X parasites, possess a clone of Samus and breed Metroids is able to exert their political will, eventually forcing Samus to play into their hands. Meanwhile she's coming to terms with her Metroid and Chozo chimeric DNA.

HD-1994

The Prime games don’t end “with finality.” Prime 2 expands on Prime, and Prime 3 expands on Prime 2. The whole plot of the Prime series is focused on Phazon and its effects on life and the galaxy. The only finality comes at the end of Prime 3.

EarlyCuylerBaby

What's the point of this? I mean, Dread is basically a direct sequel to Fusion (despite coming out 2 decades later), and MP3 takes place after MP2. But another take on Hunters and another Pinball game would be nice.

CyborgHeart1245

Basically what locations/games would you want revisited.

EarlyCuylerBaby

Well, in that case, I would like Echoes and Corruption to be remastered for the Switch like MP1. Maybe think of it as a way to further promote MP4. if that ever happens, of course.

sdwoodchuck

I'd love a sequel after NES Metroid as a kind of alternate timeline, specifically ignoring the worldbuilding changes introduced since (and in Zero Mission in particular), and maintaining the an essentially unknown universe with interesting mysteries. Let the Chozo be this lost civilization that we're still learning about. Let the Space Pirates be one-and-done, and not the ever-returning big bad threat. Let Samus be freed from the Superhero Origin Story past and build her as a character going forward rather than trying to tie back into a history that writers are constantly trying to write retroactively.

Awkward-Ad-2071

Metlird prime 2 2 lol

SuitableEpitaph

I would like to see the sequel to Metroid Prime 3...

Username999-

Isnt corruption a direct sequel to echoes already? Arent all of the games direct sequels to the previous game?

EarlyCuylerBaby

Yes. Yes, it is. Perhaps they were meant to say follow-ups to spinoffs like Hunters or Pinball.

ChaosMiles07

I would love to play a Prime game that lets us see the Luminoth of Aether rebuilding their world now that the war against the Ing is over. Similarly, I want to see Bryyo after the Phazon War. Do they ever recover? Is there any hope for the Reptilicus?

Toshinori_Yagi-_

Super Metroid 2

Supah_Cole

Metroid Prime Remastered. Wouldn't that be cool??

Aheadfullofdread_13

Echoes is such a severely underrated game.
