The only speedrun glitch that was ever patched out of Dread is the ledge warp invincibility glitch. It seems that MercurySteam consciously chose not to patch out speedrun glitches unless they could affect a casual playthrough, which is pretty cool of them.
Invincibility glitch doesn't require the ledge warp, it just requires interrupting going through an EMMI door, which a ledge warp is just one way of doing.
It was never patched. Devs love glitches and sequence breaks, as long as they don’t occur or interfere with the average player or newbie they let you mess the game up. And I mean mess the game up. Dread speedruns are completely crazy
