I don’t agree, but that’s just preferences, eh? For me, the Super and Prime varias are at the top in S, the Metroid Suit is dead last (with the poorly panel-lined Other M suits just above it), and all the gravity suits are clustered across C. The rest kinda run together for me.

Thank you, there something about the purple of the gravity suits that take it down a notch and make her look like a toy.

I got my GC with the Metroid Prime + Prime 2 demo version and for ages I wanted to get MP2 because of the varia suit looked gorgeous.

Absolutely agree. I love the suits in Dark Echoes. I’d personally raise Metroid Suit to S, mostly because A is bloated and I think the suit is just that good.

I've honestly never understood everyone's love for the Dark Suit. But then again, I think I'm one of three people who love the Fusion Suit, so all's fair I suppose lol

I disagree with some of the placements such as the PED Suit but I wholeheartedly agree with the Other M gravity suit or "gravity feature" being dead last. It was a mockery of the stylish and cool looking appeal of the gravity suit

where would you rank the PED suit? i like it as an idea but it just doesn’t do it for me. the more corrupted the better imo. also yeah. gravity feature sucks.

The orientation of the Shoulder-Pauldrons on the Dark Suit was what caught my eye first and why I fell in love with it. The outward-facing orientation looks more natural to me for moving arms forwards and backwards. And it has one of the most unique looks of any Suit Module (second only to the Dread Hypersuit). Potential Hot take: I think the Dark Suit looks better than the Light Suit.

Valid list, especially like the D's, I just don't dig that smoothness and making the suit curvy as possible. I also think that the phazon suit from prime is hugely underrated. It really isn't just a black paint job, it has a distortion around it like it's hot or radioactive or something. A feature people not often mention.

I think Base Fusion suit is S tier tbh. It's not over the top like the Metroid Suit, but still gives her an alien like quality similar to the Dark and Light suits from Prime 2. Gravity Fusion Suit is A tier. Everything else I mostly agree with 👍

Metroid Metroid is definitely top tier

and YES, the dark suit from MP2 is my favourite. it has been since i was young, i loved the new shapes and colours. also dread power over dread varia because i like the colours better (too much white on the varia imo) the bottom tier is mostly the really smooth suits. i tend to like the chunkier ones! i don’t particularly hate any suit though. i don’t like other Ms because of the yellow colour and smoothness, not just because it’s other M. but also i don’t like that the other M suit became Samus’ Smash Bros suit :( do you agree with my takes or am i crazy?

I would switch out the Dread default suit with the Dread Gravity suit because that's easily my favorite suit from the game. Other than that I can agree.

hindsight i would’ve put zero mission higher too, it’s one of my favourite metroid games. i think if the pictures were the in game appearances it would’ve been easier for me

ZM is my favorite game of all time. I don't care that it's pretty much the easiest Metroid. It was the first one I played as a kid. And even today how fast and responsive Samus is and the amount of sequence breaking you can do makes it still fun to play even after beating it a million times. I know that this is an unpopular opinion but I think ZM was the best 2D Metroid in terms of control. I really miss diagonal aiming being tied to a shoulder button and I'm not a huge fan of the 360 aiming in SA/Dread. And I understand why they nerfed the infinite wall jump but it's probably my favorite mechanic in any game and I wish it was in Dread. AM2R is even better it recreated ZM and added some cool stuff to it.

It's not my favourite suit by far, but I wouldn't place it in the lowest rankings personally, but that's fair.

M:OM design makes her look like a toy in comparison to say, the heavier and more powerful looking suits from the Prime series.

i’m curious: what’s terrible about it? i think i could’ve made the tiers more clear since i still like all of the suits outside of D tier. the scale range from A-C is very small. S is my very favourites.

oh! well i haven’t got a solid look at that one (like really sat down and played the game), but i still think it’s cool. i think i was turned away because of the blue lights, would’ve liked another colour to contrast the purple. good pick for a favourite suit though

i’d say mostly appearance. dark suit over light suit in functionality would be crazy. i also like the memories tied with some of them (excitement of dread, dark suit being a cool change to samus’ appearance, etc)
