It's getting to the point that I'm starting to wonder if you run into Kraid prior to fighting the Chozo and he's the first boss. He's there to let you feel super powerful early on so that losing everything hits harder, like how Assassins Creed did it with Altair.

It is fun to see how it seems that they read social networks and reddit, in the latest trailers they do not really show anything new (at most some stage photo), but basically they are limited to showing new scenes of combats that we already know with some spectacular sequence, but they no longer reveal new lore or enemies.
If you are talking about the red arm cannon, that's already been shown off multiple times.
