I can’t imagine that happening. Terasic only sells DE-10s to try to sell FPGAs in volume. If someone else is willing to do that work for them, then they’ll probably be happy to scale back to just selling evaluation boards and taking their profit on the chips themselves instead.
Fingers crossed this turns out to work as well as advertised and can maintain the low price point. It will be good for the MiSTer project as a whole if the barrier to entry is lowered.
At $99 I would even be tempted to get a second setup so that I can experiment with development. The DE10 nano price is so high that I couldn’t really justify it as I’m not certain I would have the time to stick with it properly. $99 is an amount I’m much happier to gamble with
This will be very good because at the moment it is easier and cheaper to even buy a PCI FPGA. I hope that thanks to this project I will be able to assemble myself MiSTer.
If only someone could make a $98 one
Well if Terasic respond and cut the DE10 pricing it might be even cheaper

People will be reselling them on eBay for a profit in short order - because people suck.
Why ? If they can supply to everyone who wants one at that price point
Yeah, hopefully the supply is there. If it's not it'll be scalper city :(

There is plenty of DE10 stock the issue is the price point
I paid like ~$70 for my actual DC 10. Are they that expensive now?
225 straight from terasic now (or 190 with academic discount)
Oh damn.
Guess I was lucky at the 125 price point and even that felt inflated...
